HOW IS IT STILL TRANSLATING???!!!!

A few years ago, I read a decently length novel by the name of "I'll be the male lead's sister-in-law", a nice 117 chapters, about average for your romance stories on NU. obviously, being impatient, i just quickly found the mtl and finished it myself instead of waiting for the translation for finished. so. i sat and finished, (probably took me a day or two), it was nice, didn't kill my braincells, (although the "sweet romance" was a bit cringe to read through imo). and that was that.

HOW HAS IT BEEN MORE THAN THREE YEARS AND ITS STILL NOT FINISHED!!!! I'M ACTUALLY JUST SICK OF SEEING THIS NOVEL POPUP ON THE RELEASE PAGE, LIKE OMG ITS YOU AGAIN??!!!! ARE YOU STILL NOT DONE WITH OVER 500 CHAPTERS!!!

Listen, I understand that translating can be hard and some people really struggle with proper translations, so some people just need time, but I am just. So sick. Of seeing this novel. Again and again. On the release page. Like over 500 parts for a 117 chapter novel??? What????? There is no way I can stand waiting for a novel for that long,,,,, I would've long lost interest if I hadn't finished it then and there.

I just want to know if anyone else has any opinions about this? Are some people more understanding to translators and don't mind waiting this long?? I also don't mind waiting but seriously?? 500 parts for just 117 chapters??

      There's nothing to be done, translators bring blessings to us mere mortals who just want to read a free novel. Nowadays, I don't have enough love for a novel to wait that long, but let me tell you an old story. Skip Beat is a novel that I fell in love with when I was a teenager. I remember going to the translation site every 3 months to check if there were updates, but at the time the author of the manga was on Hiatus, it was a 2-year Hiatus. 2 years of going to the site in search of my beloved manga. I remember the translators posting a few chapters after two years and then I waited a few more years (I don't remember if it was 1 and a half or 2) until the manga was finally updated consistently. Those were hard times. I thought it would be an eternal hiatus like Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.

      Anyway, it all depends on your love for the novel and patience.

      I usually scroll through NU to catch updates on stories I might’ve missed. If one grabs my interest, I’ll just head to the raw site and finish it off. Whether it’s translated or not doesn’t make much difference. But really, 3 years on 117 chapters split into 500 micro-parts?and still unfinished? Impressive dedication to… stretching things out. Sure, translation takes time, but uhhh... 3 damn years? Mayhap they’re trying to set a record or something?

      Honestly I can't complain since translator worked for free.

      This one seems to split it because of business, where they give patrons "8,10,15 advanced chapters", when in fact it's only 1-3 real chapters at most. Also it will be easier and more efficient to keep working on one series with certain fanbase rather than complete it then start translating a new series.
