Bought Incense 'meditation' sticks for NPR 800 (INR 500/RMB 42).
They told me 'they don't manufacture this anywhere else'.
I found it at KTM for NPR90 today.
Am I stupid or is stupid me? We will never know.

      500rs FOR INCENSE MEDITATION STICKS??? that's crazy :sweating_profusely: at most they could cost 200rs but that's it. I am glad you caught on so that the mistake isn't repeated twice. :blobdoggoheart:

      Yeah, it's India rupees and Nepali rupees. I've never seen my mother use these sticks before though, so I got fooled. Shoulder called her or asked her before buying anything at a tourist souveniar shop. I swear, they change you ten times the price without bathing an eye and tell you 'sorry' to your face when you come back to exchange it..

      The best phrase for this occasion is. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. At least you caught it before it happen again and now you’ve gain a little more wisdom with this experience. You’ll be a little more cautious next time. I hope you’re not to hard on yourself. This could have happened to anyone. I wish you luck on your next purchase

      @Bad Storm yeah,went to the Peace and Unity center and wanted to buy something for my mother, who believes in these things behemontly.
      I was looking at statue and pictures but they seemed too expensive and useless. Then I saw the incense sticks, (NPRS 120) and was about to check out but the clerk was like "wait! Do you not know why they are so cheap??? They are made out of cheater, hazardious material!!!"
      And I was like, that must be right!!!

      Long story short, came home and showed it to mom. She proceeds to bring out seven boxes of them and tells me I got scammed.

      It's great.
      I even went to our city mall (KTM) and found them at the og price.

      Today is when I realized that when going outside, I should always take less than 500rs with me
