Have you ever read a xuanhuan/xianxia and visualize the scenes in your imagination? I have, and i have to say, visualizing cultivation fight scenes are extremely confusing, having to imagine the location and area, every move, attack, and skill the fighter uses. As the common method to make a fight scene more "easier" to readers, they're typically finished with a few OP moves that leaves a lot to imagination. While i might have stray from my point, i would like to ask, what is the most difficult battle skill in any cultivation novel for you to visualize? Mine is the 4 fist strike of Meng Hao from ISSTH, you could only add so much visual effect to a fist strike without making it look repetitive.

I give up visualising any fight scenes. I’ve got a good imagination but even with that it’s too annoying to visualise fights. I just skip through them nowadays~
I just can't help but picture just some people throwing this or that at each other. And pretty much every battle seems the same. Just different colours of balls, beams, waves and swords. Also, soul attacks are just colourless shockwaves.
The problem I have? Is how they can say long phrases in the time it takes to throw a punch. I can visualize most other parts, but that confuses the hell out of me.
Are you kidding?! The fight scenes are literally child's play to imagine compared to the fucking sights like forests and mountains that span literal light-years and stars that revolve planets or mountains!! Fuck the concept of several HEAVENS is mind boggling to me
Uhhhh i mean, how are you supposed to read without visualizing? Its just something that happens. Way i visualize depends on how into it i am and how much sleep i got in the past 40 hours. Most of the time its hand to hand combat with random anime scenes, lasers, and kamehamemas. Oh and Avatar too.
Or how they somehow have paragraphs of inner monologues and manage to change their facial expression multiple times in the "fraction of a second" it takes for the move to land. Like seriously imagine someones face smiling going to laughing then sad then schocked in a fraction of a section like da fuq? I abandon the concept of time when visualising otherwise it just doesnt work.

The hardest skills imo are the weird profound weapon skills about "one slash, a zillion cuts" since it just fails to make sense, even w alot of speed.
If they use elements in the shape of something like fire dragons or something then sure , I can imagine that just fine but then the author comes with ''a swordstrike that is both elegant and domineering like a dragon waking up from it's long slumber only to strike at his foes with the fury of a thousand suns'' and I just kinda imagina a dude stabbing the other person since I've got no clue how to imagine some of the ridiculous things the author writes.
