http://www.novelupdates.com/series/my-disciple-died-yet-again/ So @Scrya is translating this wonderful series for us; and Nyanko wants to discuss it! While I'm yet to rate this series, it is definitely on my "most anticipated each day" list. It looks like we're approaching the first death! So, will the Male Protagonist do it? Will the Lover do it? Will it be but an accident? Ohhh as much as I like the stupid Zhu Yao, I am really eager for her death! I also think it would be interesting to see the story written from the Male Protagonist's (Xiao Yi) viewpoint, see how different the entire situation is from his perspective; we the reader have no idea why he attempted to kill Little Wang that time... Anyway discuss!
There was a comment by a reader who said to have read the raws and that she doesn't really die but near death experience and that's all... But not really sure i guess...
This is also my most anticipated story every day lately too! I think the "male protagonist" will kill her at least once, if not every time. She may even be killed while on this trip since he'll have ample opportunity to attempt it. & I'm sure his harem members will keep their mouths shut. I just hope little wimp doesn't die. T^T He's so cute now!
Hahahaha I wasn't expecting that! So the Fox Demon will intterupt our young protagonist, Zhu Yao will try and rescue him, and blam! Dead.
I had always waiting for the moment when she died, and yet now I get heartache knowing that one day she will reborn and little Wang Xuzhi will no longer recognize her.
Am I the only one whose disappointed she didn't die to the Fox Demon? Gez, there has never been a protagonist I've liked that I've wanted to die so much >_<
I was so positive at the beginning that her first death would be to the little harem master in some way... Well he sort of caused it by hesitating, I wonder if it was on purpose; to get rid of a fellow genius that might overshadow him... I'm really looking forward to how she is reincarnated!
This is a ridiculously good series. If you can actually read Chinese, I would actually encourage you to read ahead, as some of the jokes and slang are really hard to translate. For example, there's 脑残粉, which literally translates into "mental retardation powder," but actually means "brain-dead fanboys/girls," and thus fails to deliver the comedy effect in its original language. It only gets better from here on out. You'll cry at the end of Zhu Yao's 3rd reincarnation (version 3.0 as she calls it herself), cheer at how awesome she gets as version 4.0, and laugh throughout the whole thing as modern pragmatism and common sense lampoons the whole Xianxia genre and its Mary Sues and Gary Stus.
On the upside, you actually have a conclusion to this story than the never-ending escalation of your typical xianxia. And apparently the Chinese version of Gary Stu is actually Jack Sue? Some of these newer slang and idioms are really hard to get the gist of. As far as summary goes, I'd rather summarize it as follows: Transmigrated to a Xianxia world, Zhu Yao is forced into becoming the troubleshooter for all the apocalyptic issues that pop up. Unfortunately, she tends to die a lot in the process, causing no end of grief for her master as he is forced to hunt down her every reincarnation.
that... That was an amazing resserection, born into the perfect life of privelage, only to be kidnapped!
Poor her, she finally found comfortable life, and then shifu comes in and 'save' her. I prefer the old ones, this feel more spoiler-ish with the apocalypse part.
So the truth comes out! It's all a big bug hunting session >_< Loved that twist! Zhu Yao, stop the cheat!
