In her very different relationships, she comes closer to a truth she did not know in her previous life… “It’s greed to wish for something you don’t have the ability to handle!” “Yes, I know. I’m being greedy. Do I need permission to be greedy?” She’ll be the Count again in this life. It’s not a lucky title, but it was won with her own strength, so she’ll be a perfect Count who was nobody’s scarecrow.

Spoilers via MTL-read... By the way, the edition available at Google Play is R-19 and has a different cover. So there seems to be one R-15 and one R-19 version. Spoiler: The first two volumes In the first timeline: Kalmia's twin brother died in an accident when they were children. This left Kalmia as the sole successor of her father, who is a Count. Once an adult, Kalmia becomes lovers with her father's former assistant Storoni, and together they are quite a ruthless couple. They succeed in killing their enemy Duke Rudbeckia by poisoning his wine. This is when Kalmia wakes up as a 10-year-old child again, twenty years earlier. Kalmia still has full memories of her past life and is horrified to have to redo her unhappy life. But the time of her return is right before her twin brother is about to have a fatal accident. And this time around, a young Rudbeckia saves her twin brother's life. He also becomes Kalmia's fiancée. However, there is no love or even much friendliness between them. They become engaged with a mutual agreement to break it off after a few years. There are many practical advantages to being (if only temporarily) engaged to a Duke's son. While Kalmia gets along well with her twin brother, his survival means that the brother is now the chosen successor of the Count. So Kalmia is in a far more precarious position than in her first life, and has to fight hard to become the Count's successor instead of her brother. Her main goal in life is to succeed the Count. Fortunately, her brother is not particularly interested in the position. She discovers that there is a secret library with books, some locked and encrypted, which only the successor is allowed access to. Even during her first lifetime, where she was the only heir, Kalmia was never entrusted with access to this library. Kalmia eventually figures out that Rudbeckia also remembers their past life, and they are both trying to gain the upper hand, armed with knowledge of the future. Rudbeckia is not yet aware that Kalmia remembers her past life. Rudbeckia has been trying to keep Kalmia apart from Storoni, but Kalmia herself is also less attached to Storoni this time around as she dislikes the way he always tried to control her. She wants to succeed by her own ability, not as Storoni's puppet. * I think the most unusual thing about this novel is that Kalmia is quite ruthless and ambitious, not the typical kind-hearted FL. In the first timeline, she poisoned Rudbeckia, who died a painful death throwing up blood. In the second timeline, she still only befriends people for the sake of using them. However, she also grew up in a loveless environment, with a father who didn't care about her and Storoni who manipulated her. In her second life, she is still ruthless, but better off than before because her twin brother survived and remained at her side. Her twin brother is loyal and supportive of her, and the only one she considers family. However, even in the second timeline, she is somewhat conflicted about preventing her brother's fatal accident, because she knows her brother's survival will cause her to lose the position of successor. Rudbeckia seems pretty decent so far; his objective mainly seems to be to prevent his own death by poison. He was a wine lover and collector in his former life; now he refuses to drink wine, which strengthen Kalmia's suspicions that he also remembers his past life.
Thank you so much for the spoiler! This seems like a really interesting enemies to lovers story. I’m so curious of how they fall in love with each other and how their relationship develops? Also, who falls in love first?
Yeah, it's interesting because I think it's essentially a gender-reversed version of the typical time reset story. There is no love between them yet (I'm only on book 2 out of 6), but they are still engaged. It's hard to predict who'll fall in love first, considering she was once willing to kill him and he remembers suffering a painful death at her hands. So their past relationship didn't exactly end on a good note. But I would guess that Rudbeckia will fall first. He is the one who makes the observation that Kalmia is a somewhat different person now with her twin brother still alive and without her being as closely involved with Storoni. However, both Kalmia and Rudbeckia were around 30 when their first lives ended and are now in their late teens. Rudbeckia still has the mind of a 30-year-old man and isn't interested in young girls, this is expressly mentioned when he sees teenage Kalmia. He also isn't aware that she remembers her past life. So I think he won't really consider Kalmia in a romantic light until she's a bit older or he knows that her mind is as old as his. I can see him later becoming grudgingly impressed by her shrewdness and hard work. Kalmia doesn't want to just be some aristocrat's wife; she is determined to succeed her father and will accomplish that no matter what. She works incredibly hard to become the perfect successor, spending countless hours reading the books in the secret library and making political connections she knows will be useful in the future. So she only has that specific position in mind and isn't interested in taking easier roads to power and wealth. Additionally, I'm guessing that the covers of the Google Play editions are meant to be symbolic. The first two covers show an overturned glass of wine, book three and four show an upright glass of wine, book five and six show two upright glasses. So that's probably meant to represent Rudbeckia's poisoned wine and the progress of their improving relationship.
I ran out of energy to MTL-read all 6 volumes, so I skipped ahead to the final volume to see how the story ends. Spoiler: Final volume spoilers Kalmia and Rudbeckia are romantically involved at this point. Rudbeckia is aware that Kalmia remembers their past life. Rudbeckia: "In my nightmares, you still hand me the poisoned wine. And I drink that wine every day. Because only by drinking it can I meet you who loves me." They talk about how in less than ten years, they will reach the age when they previously died and then they'll no longer know the future. Years later, when Kalmia is 28, she gives birth to twins who inherit Rudbeckia's black hair. She nearly dies in the process, much like her own mother who died giving birth to Kalmia and her twin brother. Rudbeckia doesn't want to have any more children after that since he is afraid that Kalmia wouldn't survive another childbirth. Kalmia and Rudbeckia are married, but Kalmia still goes by her own title of Countess Phlox. Also, it seems like Storoni had poisoned Kalmia as well in the first timeline. Storoni and Kalmia were lovers then, and he did have a twisted love/obsession for her, but he decided to kill her so he wouldn't be chained by his feelings for her. However, he regretted it and went insane afterwards, preserving her corpse and trying to resurrect her.

Yay! At least my prediction of Storoni poisoning her wine was correct. I mean it wasn't that hard since in the manhwa that was the last image before she was 10 years old again but still. Good to know Storoni didn't live a good life after her death and instead went insane.
Doesn’t Storoni’s love sound like another manga where the guy saves a little girl ( who falls for him) and uses her to bring down the emperor and only after his empress kills the fl does he regret his treatment of her…
