Spoiler Refusing Your Ex-Husband’s Obsession: A Guide / 전남편의 집착을 거절하는 법

In this story the Saint Irene or Seoyoon shifts dimension to the Empire somehow using her mobile phone, I read this a long time ago so I’m rusty. Anyway she is actually a very low ranking guide and fakes her guiding or purification ability by using her mobile phone. Basically the crown prince and the duke were fooled and she tricked the duke into following her to her own world and the people of Korea trapped him there and he became a hunter there under strict surveillance. Seoyoon was ignoring his desire to return to the empire and she merely coveted him because of his appearance. The fL is a soldier, mercenary and is good with most weapons and she as B grade guide complemented the male lead, he likes her but he hates her at the same time because he was trapped there and was trying to figure Seoyoon out to make him be able go back. I think the fL thought he liked her and was her fanatic fan like others because she was brainwashing everyone with her phone. Anyway in the modern world he goes on a mana runaway and she saves his life and because he has a fire ability she burns to death without a single trace. I don’t know whether this is right or wrong but I think Seoyoon or someone else gives her the novel to read which depicts the life of a saint in the empire and that person was Seoyoon. Also she doesn’t reincarnate but she possesses the daughter of a poor baron who really love the fL, she’s possessed because she has a dream that the original owner of the body is in her original one in the modern world. Also he has all his memories of the previous life and is super regretful, obsessive and yandere like for the female lead and is trying to figure out a way to cross dimensions regardless of whether he’ll have nothing or not. So she goes to an imperial ball where the nobles meet the saint and she calls out her Korean name very quietly to herself, but the male lead whose a sword-master hears her and does a background check on her. Whilst she is adamant about not being close to him or having anything to do with him, frankly the novel writing was messy and you have to read the full novel to understand everything. He starts spying on her after the background check comes fruitless, he goes to their house watches her use a bow and a set of curves knives or something? So he’s questioning whether it’s her or not and then they find him and he makes a formal visit and smells her peppermint scent which is like I suppose what the scent of her guiding is like and then he touches her hand and triggers her to use her abilities and he’s like I know it’s you. But she tells him straight that he’s wrong and then he just accepts that she’s not going to admit it and wants to woo her and marry her and she doesn’t buy it…

I just finished the entire novel

Spoiler: BxtcH Seoyoon and Irene's somewhat mission

In case it's not apparent yet, that bxtch Seoyoon is a fake saintess. The real one is supposedly Irene or Seohyun. I'm saying "supposedly" because even tho it was revealed that she's "God's beloved child" she never officially became the saintess because she refused the position.
Even then, towards the end of the novel, everyone still acknowledges that she is the Holy Maiden because of everything she did.
So it turns out that there were MORE espers and guides in the kingdom. Like fate created by God himself, they were able to meet and be helped by Irene when they were confused and thought that they were cursed.
Irene then realised that the reason why she was brought to the empire must've been to help the espers and guides who didn't know they were espers and guides due to the lack of knowledge of people there. So she decided to ask the help of the royals to establish the "association" of espers and guides (the same association they had back in Korea) so they could look for the others and help them understand and control their talents/powers.

Spoiler: What happened to Seoyoon (fake saintess) and OG Irene?

So what exactly happened here is that the phone used by Seoyoon (the fake saintess) could make her travel from the 2 diff dimensions (Korea and Stern Empire). Everytime she traveled between the 2 dimensions her rank as a guide would go up. However, there's a price to pay for every travel she made. She would always received a warning message whenever she tried to travel dimension. Mtl was crappy but from what I can understand the warning states that to travel she must follow the law of equivalent exchange. She'll be bringing something from earth equivalent to her gaining a higher rank. Meaning for every travel, a monster wave from Earth would also travel dimension to Stern Empire and eveytime she gained ranks, higher ranks of monsters would come in wave.
Seoyoon found out early on that Irene is of higher rank (S++ rank then turned to SS rank). Of course the selfish bxtch that she is can't have that so she tried to travel MULTIPLE times to catch up on Irene's rank.
Later, after Irene, Ciel and the gang (mostly Irene and Ciel) killed the monsters and closed all the portals where the monsters were coming from, only Seoyoon's portal was open. She tried to travel dimension again for one last time to gain the SS rank but Irene did not take her shxt anymore. Seoyoon's phone already died down and the last portal was closing. As punishment, she took both arms of Seoyoon while she was on the other side of the portal so that when the portal completely closed, both her arms will be severed from her.
On earth if you are a guide but unable to join expeditions due to disabilities, you will be used in the worst way. Like a living battery. Irene says that it's the bottom of ranks on earth.
She figured that that is the best punishment for Seoyoon.
On earth, when the portal closed on Seoyoon and both her arms were severed. She howled and cried. Due to that, the monsters heard her and started prowling around her. It was never exactly stated what happened to her after that.
BUT the night before Irene and Ciel's wedding, she had a dream. She dreamt of seeing Seohyun (her old self) in a cafe, looking so happy with a man that looks like her lover which was Kang Tae Joon. The man that Ciel was so jealous in their first life before.
Irene found it awkward but she soon realised that this Seohyun was actually the real Irene. She was in her body on Earth.
Soon, she saw the 2 going to a military lab where Ciel used to be expiremented on back in Korea on their first life. Except here, the one being experimented was Seoyoon (the btch).
All of sudden, Seohyun (real Irene) looked at her and mouthed,

'I'm happy. You?'
"Me too."
'Take care of my family'
"Don't worry, Irene."
'Yes. I trust you. Yoo Seohyun.'

I love this scene. It felt warm and gave closure to what happened to the real Irene.

Uhm this is bothering me. I just read that the novel FL read before her death had steamy scenes with the saintess and ML. Does that mean he went to the final base with her before? I really hope not.

 

As far as I've read, he didn't... the novel is basically the fake saintess fantasy or something

 

That's a relief thank you... phew...esp since that woman is so... Ugh.

 

Just finished reading the nivel and it's really good! One thing that I really loved is the description of the relation between the MC and her new family.
The fact that they don't even bend over backwards in front of the Crown Prince to defend their daughter and their family... for once! It felt good. What I also liked was that we learn what happened to the real Irène (and that she's happy too).

 

Alot of ppl hated ML but I didn't he was reasonably suspicious and his "cruel" treatment was just being cold.(no abuse)

Spoiler: Short opinion

So ML was not a transmigration but a dimension traveler (travel to earth), he was kidnapped practically by ogFL (the only guide in his world) and world government to use as an expert slave, but being very disgusted with her lowered his compatibility, forcing the government to find MC as his exclusive guide/wife (mc had no idea). So he was kidnapped enslaved and forced into marriage (government has a dimensiontravel device that transported ogFL), the least he can do is be cold and suspicious, but when he became attracted to mc knowing her more he couldn't show it because she'd be used as a hostage against him.

The novel was written by ogFL of what happened is MLs world but omitting the kidnapping. When MC read the novel on earth ML was visibly uncomfortable, maybe I don't remember exactly.

After mc sacrificing herself he goes berserk again since he killed his love and dies to find himself regressing, while mc reincarnats in the past of ML as Irena a child who was supposed to die.

MLs goal was to trick ogFL into making him travel to earth so he could find his wife again buy now that mc transmigrated he is just obsessed with keeping her next to him.
