So the fl boyfriend in her past life the third generation Chaebol also died in the accident and reincarnated as the ml?

 

As far as I remember, this part not mentioned in the novel. Only an explanation about MC died because of the accident after she refused his offer to give her a ride.

 

You mentioned in the side stories that the ML actually reincarnated as a third generation chaebol and got memories of his past life as Duke Erich when he got into an accident in his childhood. He understood that the FL signed her name using hangeul on the wedding certificate. So he went out to look for her and started dating her in the modern world. Then she died later and reincarnated as a baron's eldest daughter.

So are there alternative worlds and that the MI will always fall in love with the Fl, and she will never know that he lived in both worlds (modern life and isekai life).

After her death, did he also die in the accident and get isekai'd back into being Duke Erich? Then, after his life with the FL, will he reincarnate into the modern world again to be with the FL again and repeat the death and rebirth life cycle with her.

 

The ML only remembers himself as Duke Erich as his previous life, and Duke Erich never remember anything from modern world. His modern self never tells MC about their past life. The modern world in side story (it is written mostly as ML's POV in the start) can be count as prologue before main story start if we look at it from MC's POV (near the end of side story, POV switch from ML to MC), as in the end mentioned that her 'reincarnation button' start a month after their meeting.

This is the last line from side story :
It was at the point of a month or so before she pressed the reincarnation button on the front of the truck.

Never mentioned that ML's in modern life also hit by the truck.

The things I know from the story :
MC thinks her modern life is her previous life, her current life is as a baron daughter who later will marry the ML Duke.
ML thinks his life as Duke is his past life, his life in the modern world is his current life.

And no information about future update of this novel. As I can't access the official page in Kakaopage because of age restriction problem, I try to check it in Namu Wiki ,
it's mentioned that there is no indication of completion in the side story, but the work is classified as complete. So, high possibility they will not give us new chapter, expect there is special occassion (sometimes it happens for several hit series, the add side story because of manhwa lauch, or audiobook launch, or because the works are very popular).

I can't give any assumption as I afraid it will misleading others as spoiler.

 

To be honest, I think both of the modern as well as the Baron-Duke life of MC-ML are going simultaneously. It's like both can see both of their lives in both places, and remember them, as if two timelines are going on simultaneously, and both are experiencing it in different ways, as a form of singularity. Like ML is remembering his previous or experiencing his current life in modern day, and MC is remembering his previous or experiencing her current life in MLs previous world. In other word a big miracle is taking place.

It also makes me remember, there ia a phase in the world that says, 'Whenever soulmate meet, they realise they have known sach other for ages, for centuries.' This story nakes me remember something like that.

By the way, this is just my thoughts. The author wrote the story with many loopholes and in a confused manner. So who am I to even try to understand it . I am just trying to enjoy the whole story.

 

The reincarnation part is a loophole part for me. It feels like which one is the first, egg or chicken? I feel like the timeline become twisted with the end of side story. It looks like both of them trapped in the reincarnation loop with just 2 world repeat forever. To be honest, I'm not comfortable with it. Is it true happiness just with repeating the same fate (without them knowing it) over and over?

Actually I wish another side story to explain what happened after she hit by the truck. Is she really die? Or just in coma, dreaming about her past life, and later wakes up, remember her pas life, then tell it to ML?

 

It seems a new side story has been released, and if I'm understanding the spoilers correctly, it's from ML's perspective.

I have (very briefly) read through the new side stories, which are collectively the length of a whole novel. There are several different side stories.

Spoiler: Side stories

1) "Lucky Man" episode 1-2
ML modern day reincarnation perspective. He fell down the stairs as a child and remembered the events of his previous life. Reflecting on both of his lifetimes, he thinks he's always been a lucky man.

"He was the luckiest man in the world. It wasn't just about family or wealth and power. He met someone he truly loved and depended on, and lived happily until he died."​

He knows FL's current name (Yuri) since he remembers what Claire wrote as a signature on their marriage contract.

Episode 2 is FL's modern day perspective, and ends with an ominous sentence:

"It was about a month before she pressed the reincarnation button on the front of the truck."​

2) "Elliott's Gift" episode 1-14
Elliott's perspective as he tries to prepare a surprise birthday party for Claire.

3) "Erich Clausener, 21" episode 1-13
ML as Erich perspective. There's a lot about their past history together; Erich always liked her.

"He often remembered her face. Sometimes he smiled at the thought of the time when she acted boldly, and sometimes he became angry again as he reminisced about the past.
And there were times when he thought of it with dirty desire. In fact, it happened quite often."​

This story ends with Erich and Claire confessing to each other that their drunken one-night stand had been the first time for both of them. Erich said it first, then Claire admitted that she had lied to him afterwards.

4) "Lucky Man" episode 3
Continues ML modern day reincarnation perspective. ML and FL both survived the collision with a truck, but FL was in a coma for a while. The story ends with FL waking up and a tearful ML tells her that he loves her.

"I love you."
He said it without hesitation. Yuri twitched her palm. It seemed that she had no idea what the situation was.
"I love you. I love you. I love you."
As if he felt sorry for the fact that she almost left without him saying that, he said it over and over again.
Yuri moved a finger with difficulty and lightly touched his forehead. And she whispered.
"I know."
He cried. Thinking that if this was his luck, he wouldn't mind being unlucky for the rest of his days."

Unfortunately, I don't remember much of the original story anymore, so it's a bit difficult to follow the story now. So that's it for spoilers. (And I may have been mistaken on some details here since I only skimmed the side stories very briefly.)

Iris Schneider, she is an opera actress/singer, and a daughter of the count. She is famous in the noble society and so was called the flower of society. She likes the ML. She ordered the blue dress to be made but the duke needed a new dress immediately for the FL, so the tailor gave her dress instead.

Not a childhood friend, but Clifford from "I’m an opportunistic princess solving complex problems" is my favorite ML. He seems like your typical cold ML, but he's actually very sweet to the FL, isn't rude or intentionally intimidating others, is attentive and isn't overbearing or has red flags. Best part, he's isn't some ceo/prince/king, he's a commoner knight. And without an inferior complex or "woe is me, because of my sad past, which I use as an excuse to hurt everyone, including those who doesn't deserve it", because I have seen lots of MLs like this nowadays.

Also not childhood friend and is rich, but I do like the ML from "Marry my husband" (manhwa version only) because he isn't pushy and overbearing, thinking the world is basically their bitch (again, (manhwa version only). Although from a chaebol family, he didn't rely on his family connections and worked in the company as an employee from the ground up, until he left to start his own business (in manhwa version). If I had to pick my favorite modern rebirth story, it'd be this (in the manhwa version only. Gotta emphasize this part).

Though a Chinese manhua, the ML from "The Kitchen Goddess and the Assassin" is a nice ML. Though he's an assassin, he hasn't killed people unjustly in the story, and only those who deserve it. He's even given medicine and food to a poor family and village even before meeting the FL. And his interactions with the FL are both sweet and hilarious. He has never scared or intimidated her, although because he's an assassin, she was cautious at first. He is reserved and bad at socializing, but I wouldn't say cold, but he is hilarious, since both the author and the translator have done a fantastic job in the writing in my opinion.

 

What happens to iris, Mel’s stepmother and empress?
