I am also a bookworm there is so much I want to know about UTOT world and many characters backstory and prequels. I watched Anatol high anime shorts, I really liked it and it made me laugh and I loved the voice acting of the characters. Is just that Riftan has different personality as the one in the main storyline, he is the type of person who never open up to himself and this one he tends to open up more. Maxi she is similar to her personality, shy, timid and stutters. I just didn't like her design with glasses on. This is an AU and many things won't be the same as the main storyline. I am not going to write my review or my thoughts of the chapter today and maybe not this week as I am not going to be in the states and I am going to be at my aunt house and her house has no Wi-Fi. I am going be bored for 1 week without internet.

I think SjK shouldn't have listened to others, it's her story and it's wonderful. However, it might have been better not to write it under time pressure, but rather to finish writing it in peace with everything (POV's, side stories) that it added afterwards and only then to publish it. Perhaps she would have been spared so much grief. If there are too many voices in between, it's not comfortable for the writer and not good for the story. KSJ didn't deserve such hostilities (on the internet), UTOT is one of my favorite stories.

Hi! So, not yet. The story is all wrapped up, and at the moment, they haven't had any kids. The author promised to write one or more sidestories about that (the exact number isn't confirmed yet). The publishing dates for these stories are still up in the air. But, on the bright side, we just need to be patient. Plus, next year the books will be out, so there's a chance the side stories might come with them.
Spoiler: Spoiler summary 109 Maxi wakes up and has noticed that Riftan didn't came the whole night to sleep. She puts on her robe and goes out to find Riftan but Sidina is in the corridor and she runs up to Maxi and hugs her around and is happy of seeing Maxi is okay. Maxi wants to find Riftan but Sidinia tells her that Riftan already left and Maxi tells an excuse to Sidina but she is angry that Riftan didn't said anything without leaving a note. Sidina tells Information about the darks mages. Calto wants to talk to her alone in a room and Sidina tells Maxi to tells her everything of what both discussed. Riftan always has does this to Maxi leave without saying nothing or leave a note and it is infuriating and can't see what he does it hurts Maxi. While she was talking to Sidinia she had to hid her tears. Annette told Sidinia to not interrupt Maxi as both were having a night each other, actually Maxi had a lonely night and didn't even told Sidina what happened last night. She wished Ursuline was cosiderate as Annette was. Riftan and Maxi get intimate, Ursuline always has to always interrupt. I believe Riftan is hiding something under his sleeve and doesn't want to tell nothing to Maxi. I think I can write a review this week as in my aunt house has signal in the second floor as in the first floor has no signal even though her house has no WiFi, I hope I have enough data the whole week.
I hate it too when Riftan doesnt want to tell Maxi anything. I think Maxi deserves to know the information regardless whether it is bad or good news, hiding from her making her feel unworthy to be Riftan’s life partner. Partners means sharing, and hiding information is not healthy for a couple.
Spoiler: summary 110 Calto has a private conversation with Maxi and wants her to study another year in the Tower as she has potential. Maxi made up her mind of his decision. She reject his offer as she wants to return to Anatol and be back with Riftan. Calto is trying to persuade her but she already made her mind. She wants talk to Riftan about what she and Calto discussed but the Sidinia comes and wants to know everything, Sidinia needs to mind her own business. Maxi tells her of that Calto wanted her to study more and that Sidinia accepted a long time ago, Miriam rejected the offer as she going to join as a mage of the Bolose knights of Livadon. Sidinia persuades her to go back to study to the tower and back of them was Riftan, Ursuline and Hebaron and I sense they must heard the whole conversation. Maxi leaves Sidinia and runs to Riftan. Maxi has already made her mind but these people are to persistent of her joining in and Calto tells her if she goes into the Tower and finishes the year and of the will get her, yeah right if she would join in one of those Kingdoms, she would chose Anatol. For her was a torture for 3 years being separated from Riftan and she promised him that she never wants to be separated from him. Ruth can train her in Anatol. I didn't like that Sidinia was treated Maxi as a single woman, she is a married woman and was trying to force her to go back with her and study, at times Maxi friends tend to get on my nerves of not respecting her decisions. At least what I like about this chapter is that many recognized Maxi as an exceptional mage, I just wish she stopped having doubts as she felt she was helpless in the two previous war, when she wasn't. I didn't like that she said she didn't like her curls, Maxi Riftan loves your curly hair. She should start appreciating more her curly hair. I just don't una why many people have curly hair tend to hate it, I am curly hair and I love my curls.
Hey there Deli, I totally get your point, and I have a similar view. On the flip side, just playing devil's advocate here, I think Riftan never really deemed Maxi as unworthy. Perhaps she does deserve the information, but in Riftan's perspective, Maxi is like a delicate flower, someone to be cherished and shielded from the harsh realities of the world. Especially after the whole Croixo ordeal, he's still holding on to that perception of Maxi. It's not so much about a lack of trust; it's more about his overprotective nature. What they perceive as the best for her doesn't necessarily align with what she believes to be the best. It's all about differing viewpoints. From an external standpoint, Maxi and Riftan's relationship might seem strained, leading her friends to think that studying with them for another year would be ideal. And let's face it, they're total nerds! So their perspective might not be entirely unbiased. On the other hand, Calto's long lifespan gives him a different outlook. A year may not hold the same weight for him as it does for Maxi, who lacks the luxury of such an extended existence. And you're absolutely right about Maxi's self-esteem. It's like a rollercoaster right now. She's dealing with some heavy stuff because of Riftan's seemingly mysterious and neglectful attitude towards her. Many may recognize her as a great mage, but her perception is different. In the first war, she wasn't prepared and because of that she lost her child. And in this one, even though she was better prepared, people still died, and Riftan almost did too. For her, both of these outcomes aren't good, because in her mind, if she truly excelled, those situations could have been prevented. When you don't love and accept yourself, what others think and believe holds no meaning. And that's exactly what's happening with her right now. Her emotional turmoil has roots that trace back to her father's years of gaslighting, exacerbating the imbalance and causing her to sink into self-deprecation.
I agree with you, Maxi is insecure at times and even more so now that Riftan keeps his distance from her and is rather cold towards her. She doesn't know what to think of anything. She doesn't know much about love matters or what is expected of her. She grew up lonely and without love. Nobody had told her she was pretty or lovable. How is she supposed to suddenly know or recognize everything, especially since Riftan doesn't tell her what's on his mind. Unfortunately, he is very selfish at the moment and only thinks about his heartbreak. Maxi can't handle that. She's going through a lot of heartbreak these days. But it's getting better..... Her friends mean well by her, even if it doesn't sound so good sometimes. Annette, for example, is sometimes harsh in her statements, but likes Max very much.
Really love the way your worded that. It really is all about perspective. Specially considering who our two main leads are ;plus our own point of view as readers.
Spoiler: Spoiler: summary 111 Maxi tells Riftan where earth was he, Riftan grabs Maxi to the arm as he doesn't want a spectacle. He takes her in a guest room and have a conversation and he did heard of her going back to the tower. Maxi tells him that he rejected the decision but then Riftan tells her to go back. Maxi couldn't understand what he was talking about. The whole conversation from Riftan was about the forced marriage and her choice as mage. Riftan was about to leave, Maxi yanked him and pounded his fist and spoke all out her feelings to him that she did all for him, she went to the Tower and he isn't the only one hurt, and Riftan keeps pushing her away so he doesn't get hurt. Riftan froze and grab her arms. Riftan must be hiding her something and is just telling her partially the truth. He told her go back to the tower, what's on his mind, didn't you wanted her not to go but now you change your mind and if you want her back to the tower for protection, isn't better to tell her the truth than pushing her away. Maxi already told him what she really wants, Riftan says she was order to be married by him out of obligation as if it was her choice she was forced and now you tell her she can do what she wants, she already told you what she wanted. Riftan isn't the only one hurt even Maxi has been hurt by him with his demeanor. It is really infuriating of Riftan actions towards Maxi in book 2 and she is the working so hard in this relationship and Riftan not so much as he put his guard on so he doesn't get hurt again. At times I want to smack Riftan and if Maxi leaves him that's on him for keeping her further away from him than telling her everything as a normal relationship.
This is really a heartbreaking chapter of this couple. And really Riftan is a hopeless case and I really feel sorry for Maxi.
Yeah this is my least favourite chapter in UoT .. If i were Maxi i would feel rejected and that my husband doesnt want me anymore. At the same time i think Riftan doesnt mean what he said and that he is just testing her on whether she would choose him or choose to leave again. He is telling her to leave, while the readers know the reason behind it, which is for Maxi’s safety, but Maxi doesnt know. But i guess he feels tired too, each time he wanted Maxi to be in a safe place, she would furiously fight back n be stubborn. So going back to World Tower to keep her safe is a better option for her, despite him feeling deeply hurt once again, but i guess he thinks that she will be willing to go because learning magic is her passion. But i still think they should talk things over despite fighting or pushing each other away. Protecting and loving someone doesnt work that way. It will only drift them apart.
Just read the latest chapter and I just wanna slice the comment section in half like all I see is hate. I can't even enjoy the chapter peacefully because of them.
