I genuinely wish we were still allowed to read the spoilers of the side stories, including Uslyn's POV. I'm completely okay if later Kim Soo Ji decides to give the couple only 1 heir. Sorry to say, I, myself is a childfree so are my older sister and brother in law. However, I've learned that there is a population crisis in several countries, especially Japan and Korea. Honestly, I'm a bit jealous of them. Here, if a couple decided to be childfree, they might be judged and criticized as selfish. Luckily, nowadays there are more who decide to tie the knot late or even to be a single forever.
I honestly don't know why people obsessed with they children. i think having children is not the end of happiness. There are many different forms of happy ending, and having children is just one of them. Even when the novel was in full swing, I was a little annoyed because there were a lot of Aitaryeong in the comments section. ++Of course, the people I'm talking about are those who say, "It's not a happy ending" and "It's an open ending" because they haven't had a child between the two. I want to see it too, but it's okay even if I don't have it. riftan and maxi different stories are enough.
The most important thing is both have been together, for better and for worse. If both passed away, Reuben or Reuben's heirs might inherit Anatole along with Calypse Castle and Rem Dragon Knights, I bet. But, I know exactly that UTOT is different from GOT and HOTD. I like UTOT ending. In my opinion, it isn't an open ending. However, one thing that I dislike is Kim Soo Ji decides not to tell bout' their journey back from Osyria to Anatole plus once more, Maxi's and Riftan's night after Riftan's geth.
MARSEA12, I agree with you. Each author writes his own novel individually, I underline “his” novel. I have to say that this "open" style of writing is foreign to me, as I know that the author finishes writing his novel and only then publishes it. Perhaps this is a point that makes some authors feel insecure because they only write (post) chapters and then the readers can comment on them. However, in my opinion, it should be different and in such a way that readers can enjoy the novel or not continue reading it, whether it ends with children or not. Personally, I would keep reading such a fantastic story like UTOT. , I agree with you too, as I said, every author is different and their novels are individual and that's a good thing. If you don't like this, you should look for another story, in my opinion. honeybuttergarlic, I share your opinion (see above, individual author) that not every story has to end with children/offspring. In my opinion, these are old clichés, as they must be, but this is not true. KSJ should express her own thoughts and she should know that she has a lot of followers/fans all over Europe. "KSJ, please write the way you think and not the way others want. We love your novel UTOT."

I don't think Reuben heirs would inherit the castle if Maxi and Riftan had no heirs, it will go to Reuben hands, she explained it in the Q&A what happens if the Calypse castle had no heirs. I don't remember what she said.
1. 2. athena1979 1. Your guess makes thinking... Since Reuben Riftan gave Anatol as a gift for his services as a knight, it would perhaps return to the royal family - without any descendants. Reuben himself would probably no longer be alive, but his descendants, in this case the current crown prince, would then have to decide who gets Anatol, I think. 2. I see how many followers KSJ has here on Amazon in Germany and how many have rated the Kindle versions as excellent. In this forum alone (that I know of) there are 2 Germans, 1 Argentinian who lives in Spain and perhaps many other Europeans, all of whom share our passion for UTOT. It would be really nice if KSJ heard/read how popular your novel is here. I can't remember either MARSEA12, and you said recently that KSJ had answered more Q & A's on Instergram (I think). But from a legal point of view, including according to the state law at the time, I think the goods/gift would go back to the donor. I can't say exactly how far the will rules were at that time, that would have to be researched. But if it was like today, then Riftan Anatol and everything that goes with it, as lord of the land, could bequeath it to someone.

This was so funny! I love Riftan's pov! I appreciated your movie quote too. My family and I talk in movie quotes as well. We tend to use a lot of lines from Braveheart, Gladiator, Nacho Libre, Father of the Bride, Just Friends, and LOTR. One of my sisters, for her wedding, put movie quotes at each table instead of numbers so the guests had to find their quote to get to their seat. He likes to also quote the Matrix, Harry Potter and Gladiator. Braveheart is such a good movie but I can't bring myself to rewatch. It's too sad. Our top movie we quote is SW episode III. I loved Hayden Christensen before he became popular now. I envision a young Hayden to play Sir Kuahel. My husband gave me a deep psychoanalysis of Anakin's character and I was like wow that makes so much sense watching the movie back then. Guess I like complex male characters. There aren't too many complex male leads. Guess that's also why I like Riftan.
Saturdays manhwa chapter was perfection and the latest novel chapter was also perfect. I'm sad to see story concluding but at least we can look forward to the manhwa chapters. I haven't read all the spoilers on the ending. I heard it's open ended but isn't that better for possibility of another book or fan stories? The main reason I want Riftan and Maxi to have kids as I'm very interested to see them as parents. Will Riftan still be overprotective and Maxi reckless? I want to see them have a Daddy's girl like Arya Stark. Their daughter wanting to follow her Dad's footsteps in being an assassin and warrior. I also want to see them do more adventures without kids too though.
Thank you for the summary Marsea12. I loved this chapter. Seeing Riftan finally get his own house and recognition for all of his hard work was fantastic. Poor guy has been fighting since the age of 12. I do believe he did it all for Maxi so he wouldn't have to be called in future fighting. He knows now that Maxi will follow him wherever he goes and now he has more power over their lives. At least he can keep Maxi safe by going to less battles and duties. The part when Riftan asks Maxi to not sacrifice her life to save others was truly heart wrenching. Riftan still has PTSD from Eth Lene Castle. Wish we can have his POV from that event now to put his feelings in perspective.
So Ron might be a female cat? I am nothing against of Maxi and Riftan of them having children is one of my favorite cliché of many couples in fiction of having children but i believe if the author never intended to the couple have children, the author shouldn't force herself to write to appease the readers or because the readers wants it. I can see Riftan daughter being a daddy's girl and overprotective but I am more curious of what kind of mother if she were to have a daughter? I tend to see Riftan daughter following his father as a knight but then Riftan wouldn't like it, but then at times I see them with two girls as i want resemble either of their parent and one become mage like her mother. I am not really against them having a son, is i just have headcanon how would they have a daughter(s). Riftan and Maxi are already having adventures without having children as she said it in her Q&A but I wish she wrote it in the book so as we readers can read it. We do have Riftan POV in Ethelene Castle but haven't been translated in English if you go the 1st page of this forum you might find the summary of Riftan pov in Ethelene Castle when he saw Maxi wounded and unconscious.

Maxi is ashamed if Riftan knows she is really bad in swordsmanship, so she thinks it is better for Uslyn to keep training her, well i think it is a waste of time to think that way because Uslyn is loyal to Riftan of course he will tell him everything about the poor training progress and output I still feel bad for Riftan he seems heavy hearted to bring Maxi along but he has to bend to her wishes. He is still haunted by the past incident. Maxi swears to him that she will prioritize herself over others but we all know how she is, she is selfless and will still think about helping others even in the most dire situation between life and death. Finally Riftan & RDK belongs to their own House of Calypse and getting independence from Wedon’s King orders! Riftan will also receive his own noble title soon. Proud of them
