I really dislike this cheap plot twist revealation that Liena's Older Brother Liandro and the rest of the family members have been brainwashed with charm magic!!!
Sorry, but just can't accept/stand this excuse anymore that specific major male characters were only trash assholes because they have been put under a spell the whole time by a White Lotus Green Tea Bitch!
It really underminds their agency and responsibility.
Can't demand accountability, if the perpetrator was easily controlled by someone else....

I've seen this trope too many times since 'The White Cat That Swore Vengeance Was Just Lazing on the Dragon King’s Lap'.

Some people of Cassius family go to jail. One of the ancestors of Duke family was a demon. He chooses to live with human and be married to a human he loves.
It's FL who says that to Cassius family.
So Linea died in the end, she was a avatar of shadow and the shadow killed the empress and hurts the emperor.
ML decided to not take the throne, he didn't want to be like his father who loves power. So emperor give him the land of his mother's family with a title. His grandfather was marquis but emperor take the marquisat. So now ML is prince, grand Duke and marquis. FL is always countess.
ML has a better relationship with the crown prince.
The count and his wife divorced and have a lot of debt. The countess tried to see FL after her divorce but FL didn't want to see her. For her, her relation with his adopted family is over.

 

I'm here to say that this is one of the best revenge novels out there because the MC has to create deeply personal ways to get rid of the black magic that OGFL puts on everyone

I have a couple questions:

1.) what happens to the OFL in the end?

2.) does the duke family remember the original time line with MC? And also how are they with the MC at the end?

3.) it’s been a while since I read the book, but I remember that there was an old god who sided with MC and needed her to weaken the new god whose the reason why OFL was able to brainwash people, and my question towards that is what happen to the new god and do they get destroyed or do they leave OFL alone because they became weak?

4.) what is the MC and ML end?

 

Spoiler: ogFL’s end

ogFL dies in the end after becoming the apostle of the evil god and battling our FL. She regrets as she realizes that she never truly loved anyone in any of her lifetimes and asks FL to convey her apology to those she’s wronged.

Spoiler: Duke’s Family

They don’t remember the previous timelines but they do find out that Ethel was the child who was close to the deceased duchess and was the person who was originally supposed to be adopted.

Spoiler: Gods

So the god who blessed ogFL and FL is the same god, Miella. FL actually has a gift too, it’s just different from the ogFL and doesn’t go beyond the common sense level. In the mythology of the world there are only two gods, the main god Miella and the evil god who wants to destroy all life. The twist at the end is that the two gods are actually the same god, just like two different sides of a coin. There is more that happens related to this but that’s the gist of it.
When the ogFL becomes the apostle of the evil god she loses the blessing/power from Miella. She’s not technically abandoned by the gods but one of the monsters does stab her when she loses the will to live and thus abandons the mission she took on by becoming an apostle of the evil god.

Spoiler: ML & FL’s end

They end up together while fighting ogFL stuff happens and they both remember the second timeline (FL is the only one of the two who remembers the first timeline in the end). Sometime after the battle they get engaged and decide to move to ML’s new territory. They have a very cute and wholesome relationship.

So disappointed it's brainwashing trope.

The fun of these revenge plots is watching MC finally succeed while watching those who wronged MC gets their deserved comeuppance

But when the people who treated her badly only did it out if brainwashing, that makes then victims as well. So it feels unfair to have them punished for what they had no control over

 

Sad to read the SPOILERS, and to know that in this manga there is brainwashing as excuses for the attitudes of the characters. This has happened a lot in manga I'm reading, a nonsensical cliché, lack of originality... Some I even take into account when the story begins showing the character before being hypnotized, and after being, this is relevant because it shows the two sides of the coin, now when the brainwashed characters begin, and only after many chapters, and that will explain the character's attitude to humanize them.
I don't like that.

Here's the spoilers I found based on my understanding of the MTL.

Spoiler: Banquet

There was a banquet held at the Palace. Duke family entered and the nobles gossiped that the reason for the divorce was that FL's ex-husband has a "health" problem. The FL attended together with her benefactors (FL found their lost daughter and she's been staying with them after the divorce). The Duke tried to talk to FL but it was just awkward. Then the Emperor introduced his son (ML) to the nobles and proclaimed him as a Prince. Empress was mad and stormed out of the party. Then the Emperor told ML to dance with the most beautiful person in the party and ML asked FL to dance. Ex-husband was shocked. During the Imperial banquet, it was revealed that the successful (Iver?) merchant was owned by OgFL. The nobles praised OgFL and the party took a turn and OgFL became the center of attention. The Emperor was watching them with dead eyes coz the party was originally to celebrate the proclamation of the new prince.

Spoiler: Iver Merchant and OgFL's arrest

FL told ML everything about the Iver Merchant. Apparently they had been evading tax for a long time and it was described that the unpaid taxes that they acquired was the highest amount ever since the founding of the empire. ML was in charge of the investigation and he arrested Elliot and Cecil who are working under OgFL. Elliot is also under the OgFL's spell and threatened the FL in the early chapters. OgFL was also arrested and questioned. But Crown Prince who was also under her spell provided her with servants and redecorated the prison cell during her stay. The Emperor found out and he was so angry that he stripped the crown prince off of his status and demoted him to the title of first prince. Of course, Empress was not happy when she heard it and collapsed. Lol.

Spoiler: FL's mine + OgFL's Grandpa

After being released from prison. OgFL wanted to go back to doing business, this time she has her eyes on FL's mine. Duke and the second brother told her to stop doing business for a while but OgFL threw tantrums and comes Grandpa to the rescue. He stormed in the duchy and took OgFL away. They traveled to the location of the mine and coincidentally FL was also there with ML. Grandpa announced a territory war but FL is smart. The mine is no longer part of the territory because FL already owns it privately (sorry translation's kinda rough) and she announced that ML is the one she appointed to manage the mine (I think more like business partner). Duke came to rescue OgFL and apologized to FL. But Grandpa along with another noble (I forgot the name ) was arrested and was took to the palace for questioning.

After a few days, Duke family went to pick up Grandpa and when OgFL tried to hug him, Grandpa pushed her away with disgust. He accused OgFL of witchcraft and putting him under a spell. He curses at OgFL and everyone was confused. When the Duke intervened the Grandpa just say that how could he love a lowly commoner. At this point the Duke was also questioning everything because that's how his father usually acts (high noble pride and contempt with commoners), not the lovey dovey grand-daughter crazy Grandpa. Grandpa advised the duke to throw away OgFL before she brings ruin to the whole family. This changes was due to the FL, she used her 'blessing' and removed OgFL's spell on the Grandpa during his interrogation. NGL, this chapter was satisfying.

Spoiler: FL's past

FL received a letter from a person named Angela. FL was confused because she could not remember who is it (she doesn't have any memory of when she was young). She met with Angela, a teacher from an orphanage and everything was revealed. FL came to the orphanage when she was 3 years old (FL always thought that she was the daughter of the Wallace family cause she looked a lot like the Countess). There she met the previous Duchess (Duke Cassius wife). She was closed with the Duchess and Angela told FL that she was supposed to be the child that the Duke family will adopt. It was also revealed that before OgFL was sent to the Duchy, OgFL went to the headmaster's office. FL concluded that OgFL persuaded the headmaster to let her go to the duchy instead.

Spoiler: Cute moment of FL and ML

ML came rushing to where FL was when he heard that she collapsed (FL went to the old orphanage and got her memories back). ML confessed to FL. He told FL that he likes her but they were interrupted by FL's knight before FL could answer. He told FL that he's not asking for a response yet, he just told her how he feels.
