Suji Kim likes to show Riftan's pov after the main story to really make your heart ache! It's been hard to not read all the spoilers. I read two more and thought darn wish I read that in the book first. But one of the spoilers I saw a fan pic on Pinterest so I guess that one would've been hard to not know about. Ron is definitely a boy's name. I don't know any girl Rons. However, Maximilian is also a guys name. It's a rare name. The female version is Maximillia. I assumed the Duke named Maxi a guy's name as showing his disappointment of wanting a boy? However, it works for me. If the author orginally didn't intend the couple to have children then I also want to respect her vision. I just want her to write more stories about Riftan and Maxi. Also, more stories on the side characters. Haha, that was a funny part when Ursuline didn't believe Maxi killed a goblin. But, Maxi also killed a goblin at Eth Lene Castle. When Maxi motions her hand in the air showing Ursuline how she slayed the goblin he still doesn't believe her. I thought of this image from the comics when she's motioning her hand. We do have Riftan POV in Ethelene Castle but haven't been translated in English if you go the 1st page of this forum you might find the summary of Riftan pov in Ethelene Cas The Duke already had to name his first child Maximilian before it was born as he thought it was going to be a boy with his utter dissapointment was a girl. Hello, ladies!! I was catching up with all your posts! For the most part, I agree with all of you, but I will add that, at least for me, it makes sense that Riftan doesn't want Maxi to go to war. Wars are not pretty under any circumstances, and from a rational point of view, Maxi's health isn't great either. Being a noble, it's natural that she's physically weak. A person like that can slow down many things, and in addition to the concern for his wife, Riftan also has to worry about the lives of all his soldiers. A commander is responsible for the lives of all his subordinates. After so many years with them, it's logical that Riftan knows how to react when a problem arises. Leaving Maxi in Anatol 'solves one problem for him,' because that way he can focus on his duties, but it's not a complete solution. Every time he receives an urgent message, his first thought is if something happened in Anatol, if Maxi is okay, etc. Maxi occupies Riftan's thoughts 100% of the time. Oh my gosh! I didn't notice the person. I'm going to look, haha. For some reason to pull up comments is aggravatingly slow. Sometimes I don't even both reading the comments because the loading is just too slow. When I want to post a comment through the app on my phone it's difficult to edit. Overall, the readers on webnovel are very pleasant and are way more understanding of both character's POV compared to the manhwa readers. The manhwa readers don't know Riftan at all since they haven't read the books so they are not fun to engage with about the story. I found out today that the English print translation of UTOT is going to come out in July 9 2024. The kindle edition and the hardcover editon, edition don't know if it is going to come in paperback format. I prefer UTOT be adapted into an anime, if they adapted to a movie or T.V, they are going to take out alot from the book. I know there's already an anime in the works.
Yes, that's an option that you can do. In my opinion, the authors should not allow anything to be taken out of their hands, it came from THEIR minds, not from the readers. Maxi ate already with Ruth and has Riftan eaten and but then she cuts of line once Hebaron appears. Once Hebaron return, it seems it wasn't good news. Hebaron found men on the road and they were injured and needed treatment. Maxi runs towards then and saw they needed help and told them to take them to the Barack as they need to be treated. Maxi inspected their injuries are seen they were hit by a weapon. One of the man thanks her for healing him. One of the man had a wound gray from bleeding. Riftan notices it's a sword wound. Riftan questions the man if he is from Darund and was his village attacked? He is from there and a horde of armored ghouls attack the castle, ravaged the village, some manage to escape and seek refuge in the castle but others weren't lucky. There's isn't to know how many survived. The armored ghouls could be the corpses of recently killed soliders as if they were adept on using the weapons. These soliders might be knights from the East, as they were reports of two walled cities down, despite having reinforcements by the Eastern lords and three castle are under siege and the soliders who perished in the battle might have turned to undead. Maxi fate could happen be the same in this war if they died and become undead and roaming around and not entering heaven. The worst imaginable as a follower of God is having that fate than death. What about the perished clerics doing, it is not their fate to prevented? Hebaron explains to her, it is not easy to purify a hundreds of them, even for a high priest and for a parish cleric it will be overwhelming. Maxi was hiding her panic and Riftan noticed it and put a firm hand on her shoulder and Riftan was about to say something but then tells Hebaron that the battle starts tomorrow and that everyone sleeps and eats well. Riftan needs to convene am emerging meeting and wants Ruth to hep her than of her treating herself the mens. Maxi and Ruth took turn healing the wounded. It is time to go back at the barracks and Ruth will know about the emergency meeting in the morning. Maxi made her way towards Riftan tent. Maxi was exhausted all day that and kept her awake. Maxi heard someone coming and it was Riftan, she closed her eyes as to not upset him if he found her still awake. Riftan removed all his armor and jumped to bed and had one of his around her waist and pull her close to his chest. Maxi was surprised, since the beginning of the campaign, Riftan kept his distance from her. Is Riftan anxious for going to battle or was she the cause of his anxiety? Maxi pulls him close and kisses him. At the beginning the kiss was to comfort her, after it she felt heat coming between her legs. Maxi has her hands inside his tunic and caressing his abdomen. Riftan helping a little bit Maxi and I believe the next chapter both are going to make out. Maxi you can't fool Riftan, he must know you were pretending to be asleep. Riftan is anxious as he is afraid of loosing you.
Hi Spidyfan Kindle has a translation function, but only as a small window at the bottom of each book page. I have come to terms with the fact that I first have to translate it into German so that I can read it fluently, UTOT is not the only book. Sometimes I get manga in German when a publisher prints and publishes it in German, such as "My happy marriage" or "Kamisama kiss", but novels almost never. Kindle books are no better for the eyes than regular books, you can just make it larger since it is read on the "reader device".
Thanks for the updates Marsea! Things are getting uglier, they are going to face and fight the army of ghouls and monsters again soon . Maxi’s quick action of healing the soldiers attacked by the ghouls is commendable, great job Maxi. She is scared and worried with the current and upcoming situations but she tried to shake the feeling off. The thoughts about dying in battlefields and the body didnt get purified then turn into ghouls roaming on earth and not entering heaven is indeed a very scary thought. Maxi is an RDK mage now she no longer stays in WT mages’ accommodation, she stays in Riftan’s tent. They are husband and wife, very much inlove with each other and the slightest touch like giving comforting hugs and kisses can lead one to another .
I believe that people wanted them to have kids so badly for many reasons. Firstly, because Max had a miscarriage and that made them to suffer very much. Like in the start of novel 2 when Riftan meets Rosetta's child and feels sad because that reminds him of Max and the baby they never had. Also, their desire of having children is mentioned/suggested plenty of times, like when Riftan says to Max in the first novel that if he hadn't left after their wedding night, they might had a couple children by now (that shows that he has dreamed a life with her and their future kids, I believe), or when he says that Max is his only family and that if they had a child then they will be three. Or when Max meets her nephew and thinks that she wants a baby as well, and in that scene when the asleep snusnu happens and she thinks that she would be very happy having a baby. What I mean to say is that the readers could grasp in all of that scenes that they wanted to grow their family, and author also created a lot of expectations about their children. I believe that in one of her QnA she said that Max would remember Riftan being the boy that saved her when they had a boy. Is like she's been leading the readers to believe that it was supposed to happen at some point That said, I totally agree that a end with no children can be a good and happy one
I never read her saying that if she had a boy she will remember Riftan. What she said is for Riftan isn't the type to open up himself and it doesn't matter to him if she remembers him or not. It is true Riftan did said wanted a family but did you forget that he said that he didn't want to have a child after seeing her loosing alot of blood after miscarying her child. Also in her Q&A she had many questions of Maxi rembering Riftan a child and she didn't answer any of them. I think it was reader's predicting it.

The next day the coalition army went to separate ways, the move was necessary as everyone can't save everyone from Darnund castle. As they need to reach the Lexos mountains. The knights of Phil Aaron and the Wedonian army march towards to the north to Darund, the Bolose royal knights, Temple Knights and the mages from the Tower are marching to the southeast. Maxi anxiety grew as she saw the banners of the RDKs and Phil Aaron knights, she was wondering why two join groups together as Richt holds an animosity towards Riftan and wouldn't even listen orders coming from Riftan. She was struggling why Riftan made that decision, did Riftan tend to keep a close eye to northerners despite the risks they posed? The decision was already made and all she could do is trust her commander. They came up a windmill and cluster of storehouses, the windmill appeared to be damaged, and the knights were holding it so it wouldn't fall or roll away. Maxi realized why the ground structure were crumbling timber frame, splintered sails and there were charred humans remains. Maxi being so bold and daring. Riftan doesn't want to make Maxi pregnant because both are going to go to war and if she got pregnant it would be dangerous as she would get hurt again and miscarry or if she is in Anatol and while pregnant and Riftan in the midst of war, she would be with anxiety, worrying and stress and it could still miscarry the baby as she isn't taking care of herself. She felt that she had more desire for Riftan than him, oh Maxi this man has a strong desire for you and always will. I noticed Riftan always clean Maxi down there after doing it than her cleaning herself. Now they are going to a rough adventure and Maxi confused why the knights of Phil Aaron joining group with them, Riftan is doing to keep his enemies closer and what is his true intentions or when he has his low guard down. Maxi saw charred humans, I hope they get purified or they would become undead. Many readers are obsessed of them having children, let them grow as a couple before they have children and right know it isn't their time as they are going to war and let them grow as person's so they can be good parents and children don't make couple grow.
Thanks for the spoiler Marsea! Wow what a hot chapter when they move from comforting each other for the feeling of tension and fear of the upcoming wars to passionate lovemaking. It was hottt when they start caressing each other and things got carried away from there But i feel bad for them that they cant do it to their heart content and Riftan have to let go outside for the fear of getting Maxi pregnant. Nobody forgets how they made love the whole night in book 1, but yeah understandable they are in an expedition now of course it is not the same situation. Maxi was concerned about Riftan’s member which was still stiff after they were done . Well theres nothing more she can do about it, Riftan wont allow her even if she wants to because they need to rest for the next ardous journey. It will be hard for Riftan as the supreme commander to not put Phil Aren’s knights under his surveillance, they might defy the military orders and ruin the plan like what happened to Arex in war 2. I hope Bleston wont make any stupid mistake soon and jeapordize the alliance. He totally cant be trusted and such a problemaker.
