The volume one side story has to be published on paper!! UTOT archives YT page just released this video about Maxi and Riftan's arranged marriage. I'm so glad they made this video. Ch. 137 action was so thrilling! I was so worried for Maxi. Suji Kim did not hestiate on the gore of this battle. She really illustrated the ugly reality of war. I look forward to see the comic and anime of the battle! Thank you Sir Kuahel to the rescue again. Kuahel is one of my favorite characters! His stoicism and practicality is so endearing. Kuahel defintely feels something for Maxi.
I'm sticking with Kindle editions of Book 2 for now so I can translate it for myself. Maybe I'll be lucky and a German publisher will publish UTOT in German, then I'll buy it. The video/music is beautiful. We also thought at first that Kuahel had feelings for Maxi, but her safety is important to him because he thinks she has a talent and can find out a lot.
I am going to pre-order the physical copy a month before comes out. I don't believe Kuahel feel something for Maxi, I believe he admires her.

I started reading Cry, Even Better if you Beg and I can't put it down! It's so well written. From the beginning I can tell things aren't going to go well....Kyle! Phoebe! I laugh when people say Riftan is possessive...hmmm maybe they should read this book.
Yes I did. Here in Germany there aren't many publishers who publish stories like this, unfortunately. Mainly there are more manga for children and teenagers, which are finding more financial sales. "Cry, Even Better if you Beg", I have saved the manhwa and novel and will look at the manhwa first before I read. What I've noticed for a long time is that many stories there start with a lot of suffering, mostly it's girls/women who have to suffer and the ML rich or influential men. I don't mean it in a bad way, but the topic is slowly being exhausted if that's all it's about.
Spoiler: Summary of 138 Maxi saw Riftan and Elliot in conversation and was going to approach them until Ruth called her. Ruth needed her to help the wounded soliders. Maxi saw many wounded soliders laying down as corpses. More injured soliders coming and Ruth was healing a solider and they need to heal those who are heavily bleeding and if they don't hurry, the soliders will die of the injuries. Riftan has his eyes on her and she realizes that she was covered in monsters blood and was wiping her sleeve on her face and dark blood is coming down. Ruth offers her handerkerchief so she can wipe out and if Riftan saw her covered in blood he would freak out. Maxi cleans her face with the handerkerchief and hands it back to Ruth. While holding the dry bloody cloth, he toss it and glares at Maxi and what did she herself into this time? She used a tracing spell to locate the necromancer, and Ruth in horror that she went to fight the necromancer? Maxi tells Riftan that she isn't a fool and wouldn't do anything reckless, she was going to locate the necromancer and would tell Riftan and she was surprised that the spell was coming inside of the camp and she speculated the rune must be there. Ruth will continue the discussion after there done as it would be a long conversation. She was focusing on attending the injured. After many hours healing the wounded, Ruth wipes the sweat of his forehead and is thankfully that they didn't have to suffered serious damage. Both were now low on mana and had to treat the wounded without magic. Maxi heals a solider as she is low in mana and can't heal him with magic and explains the young solider that his would will leave him a scar. The solider is happy and when he returns home, he will tell everyone that his wound was tended by Lady Calypse. Maxi is surprised by his response and saw many of the the solider not loosing their fighting spirit. Maxi goes up on a hill to see the situation and hears a kopel blast and it was the end of the battle. Now that the fight is over, the rear unit must go ahead to Darund castle Now that the first battle is over, the castle Iron gates were open and welcome the coalition army inside. The mistress kept some inhabitants in shelter inside the castle and the lord fought valiant with the undead along with his men, his young wife was charged the city. She was offering the rear unit rooms and the soliders were setting camp on the grounds as Darund castle isn't big enough to accommodate an army of thousands. She enters into a chapel and the building became a temporary infirmary. Maxi was checking on the wounded but it wasn't uncommon for the injured that seem fine and then the next day succumb to their injuries. Maxi was examining an injured solider and heard a familiar voice and it was Elliot and that the lady of Darund is holding a banquet in the hall and wants Maxi to attend. It is fine but she rather eat there, it was Riftan orders to fetch her. Maxi goes inside and sees a long table in the center with all the knights sitting in their positions. The air had an aroma of food and drink but the atmosphere in the table was with tension as there is going to be bloodshed anytime and she wouldn't be eating well with such company. Riftan sees that Maxi is tired and she had an exhausting day. Riftan fills her goblet with fire and heard that she found the rune and destroyed it and if she was unharmed? She glares at Kuahel and didn't mention Riftan that she was almost killed. She tells Riftan that she did destroyed the rune and that he must be informed that a monster was disguising among their men, they are capable of disguising with magic and more could have infiltrated in the army and need to check the identities of every solider. Kuahel interrupts and is being already done and him staring at Richt and he gave instructions throughly to verify the identity of the Northerners and what happened today, it won't happen again. Breston snarling and if he is implying if there's a problem with his army. Kuahel answer back and that monster was disguise as a Baltonian solider, and this wouldn't happened if he managed his men properly. He reminds him that none of those would happened if Osiria didn't allow itself of Sektor stone being robbed, and Kuahel has nerve to sit there and point fingers and him and the Reformed Church clerics he serve put the whole continent into this mess. Richt has no rights to criticize the loss of the stone as Balto refuse to send reinforcements during the dragon campaign. Before he tries to condem him or the church, he needs to reflect if Balto is a true ally of the southern kingdoms. Riftan had enough of their tense conversation. If it's an order by the supreme commander Richt is going to hold his tongue. Riftan isn't going to take Leon and that most of his soliders were unidentified and Balto is close to the Plateau and it would make sense for monsters infiltrating the Balto army and everyone in his unit will be inspected by the clerics. Balto isn't going to condone such discrimination and he came all the way for in defense of the 7 kingdoms and he wouldn't stand such dishonor and Balto wouldn't agree to any inspection if it isn't dealt the same with the other units. Every unit will be inspected and Kuahel is prohibited to give unauthorized orders as he isn't the supreme commander of the army, Riftan is the supreme commander and he won't allow Kuahel come in and tells his men what to do. Kuahel has no interest in challenging the council decision, he is only there to reclaim the dragon stone. If he gets back the stone, the church will be in question if the stone should be entrusted with them for safekeeping it. Breston see as their incompetence has been revealed to the whole world. Maxi seeing them quarrel lost her appetite and she rather eaten cheap food in the barrack. Maxi claiming herself she isn't reckless when she have been reckless so many times. Maxi healing a wounded solider, she doesn't even know herself that she is so famous. Richt saying he won't be discriminated when in the past he has discriminated Riftan for being mixed race. Riftan wanted Maxi to eat after she went all through but it was better for her to eat where she was as the injured might need her to help than witness the knights quarreling. The church is at fault of not having high security of protecting the stone. Kuahel didn't even tell Riftan that he saved Maxi, he knows to well how Riftan would reach, he would scold her or maybe wouldn't let her do her job or leave the battlefield and go to her.
Thank u Marsea for today’s summary! Yes Kuahel didnt exactly tell Riftan that he saved her from being killed by the necromancer. He just told Riftan Maxi destroyed the undead generating magic rune. If Riftan knows Maxi was almost being killed he wont be able to lead the allies with ease of mind. Richt n Kuahel arguments - i think both have valid points that i cant choose side this time . The church did lose the dragon manastone and should be fully accountable on it, and now they are causing the allies to face all this trouble of fighting undeads@monsters all over again with the risk of Secto’s resurrection soon. And Balto army is such a big sus, they werent there during the last dragon subjugation but there was a necromancer disguising as a Baltonian soldier, it is only logical that Kuahel wants to fully inspect the whole army. Poor Maxi shes been through a lot in this chapter, hope she gets a good rest.
I am used these types of stories with the FL suffering with rich man ML as someone grew up watching telenovelas and having these tropes and it is getting overused.

From now on I would monitor and guard the Baltonian army even more closely around the clock. @marsea, Yes, the main theme of "suffering" has really become overflowing, mainly in relation to girls/women who are abused by their father, brother or other male person. There are so many topics such as in the novel/manhwa "Light & Shadow" or "Lucia", where the main focus is not the mistreatment but how the FL copes with her life or how she asserts herself. Telenovelas were never my thing.
Hahaha, I LOVE, LOVE Neill's voice as Astarion. He's my favorite character in BG3, and in all my games, I have him in my party because I love him! He's so sassy, ironic, sarcastic, and sweet! My favorite is still 'Corazón Salvaje,' the 1993 version. The story of Juan and Mónica is incredible. Juan is a kind of pirate and smuggler, while Mónica is a countess from a fallen noble family with only titles left. The story unfolds from there. I recommend it; it's very beautiful. 'Amor Real' is another one I really liked. After that, there are 'Alondra,' 'Alborada,' and among the modern ones, 'Mi Gorda Bella. @MARSEA12 as always, thank you so much for your reviews!
I was watching qna and came to share some interesting questions and answers. It was a question related to KSJ writing style. Q. Do you read romance novels, too? A. I read a lot of romance novels when I was a student. But now that I'm a writer of romance novels, I don't really read them. Should I say it's a framework for romance novels? I have enough of these elements in me, such as clichés of romance novels, typical scenes, and I'm afraid that the framework of this romance novel will be strengthened (Maybe Ksj is worried that he won't be able to write various articles because he's stuck in this framework) I tend to read a lot of books in other genres such as general novels, fantasy, mystery novels, and non-literature. ksj likes Agatha Christie's novel. i think maybe her writing mystery romance novel would be interesting.
I am not into telenovelas how I used to be and I like the ones I grew up than the ones they are making now, is just few I watch. I also love the periods ones, Amor Real is one of my favorites and Corazón Salvaje is really good one.
And i ordered an English version of utot, too I want to keep several versions When I receive the paper book in November, I will summarize the contents of Uslin's side story. Please understand that I can't do it in too much detail summarize because of copyright. I'm going to organize it in a big frame.

I agree with you about Maxi, her biggest weakness is that she doesn't think enough before she acts AND that she doesn't end up in danger. That's a bit naive, I think. So she should become even more awakened, because that's what the novel is actually about and she will soon see it. 3. Telenovelas, I used to watch them, but not for a long time. Interest has changed, I think. @honeybuttergarlic, KSj is a brilliant novelist and has taste, I have loved Miss Marple since many years. And yes, I agree with you, that should be really interesting if KSj wrote mystical romance novels. I could also imagine that she would write a mystical-romantic crime novel. Likewise, I'm not into telenovelas anymore. Nowadays, they're just retellings of retellings of the original ones, and that sucks because they don't make them better but worse. So, I keep my classics close to my heart. Amor Real is such a great story. I love Manuel, and Matilde annoyed me at the beginning, but then she started to become likable. The second male lead, Adolfo, poor guy, was also a great character. It's a pity he had such a sad ending. Argh, now I want to watch it again! Corazón Salvaje is still my favorite because it's the one that made me fall in love with telenovelas, and Juan was so handsome! He's my style of guy, a bad boy image on the outside but a sweetheart on the inside and with long hair! 1.I don't think that's a problem; don't worry about it. Even if they make originals one, they are still the same as the retelling. I don't watch them anymore as the plot don't have good quality and the actors they get aren't good at acting as the older actors were.
