I absolutely LOVE both Chloe and Damien (kinda sad his name wasn't translated as Demian with how many times he's called devil lol ) I think Damien is refreshing cuz you can see his twisted logic and it kinda makes sense? I understand why he's like that so I don't even find him that toxic anymore Have you read the novel or just the manwha? Chloe is one of my favorite FLs EVER! She's very complex! I'm waiting for Your Eternal Lies to be completed so I can binge the whole thing! Can't wait now that we are so close to the end! I couldn't find the novel for 'Betrayal of Dignity,' so for now, I'm reading the manhwa. I really like the name Damien, and it's indeed a pity that they didn't maintain it in the translation. I agree with you; Chloe is indeed very complex character and also Damien. As for 'Your Eternal Lies,' I read the novel too. The main story in the manhwa is complete now, so you could start binging it! The side stories may take some time. If you're interested in the novel, let me know. 'Villains are Destined to Die' took me by surprise. I checked it out for the artwork, but the story is so good that I binged it immediately.

Ohh, I think your boyfriend and my husband probably played WOW with each other. They have the same game mindset. My husband loves PVP. Apparently, most WOW players don't like PVP? So that's why players hate our men online. I play to win. My husband plays for fun. Back in the Classic WOW days my hubby would purposely camp out players before their run so they lose all of their buffs and he would dance over their dead bodies and now he can't do that anymore. Then they send their buddies to kill him and my husband will beat them 3 or 4 against one and they all get so pissed and my hubby be like, "it's just a game." My husband is the black sheep in his family. My family laughs at his jokes. My husband only plays Blizzard games. At this point, I just accept Maxi not listening to Riftan and being reckless. I just expect it everytime. I think Riftan has accepted, at a certain point, too. Keeping Maxi close to him is easier than her being reckless at a distance. Maxi is lucky that Kuahel didn't tell Riftan about that close encounter in the last battle. IMO Maxi was disrespectful to Riftan in book one. Not telling Riftan about learning magic and going to Eth Lene Castle in hiding was a big action against Riftan's only wish for her to join the campaign. But I think that's what also makes her lovable, Maxi is going to do what she wants and Riftan still loves her. I do not like the old Raenyra. No chemistry. But, I guess she's older and more mature but it threw me off when they change the actresses but NOT the actors!! Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa are probably the on screen couple that reminds me most of Maxi and Riftan. Daenerys is a weak female character in the beginning. Khal Drogo is a strong, fearless wariorr. Their marriage drastially uplifts and empowers Daenerys to be a strong leader. Khal is also buff, tan and tall like Riftan while Daenerys is short, thin and frail like Maxi. They are both in a fantasy world of magic, dragons, kingdoms and Knights. I'm writing down all the books and manhwa you are all reading! @tordocantor @Solcito @MARSEA12 You all have good taste in books.
I just finished reading all the side stories for Cry, Even Better If You Beg. You have to read this book. There is a redemption arc. Yes, I read on Yonder which is probably best for this novel as it's complicated to read. The comments help readers understand the hidden messages between the lines and metaphors. The whole time I thought the canary was a metaphor for the FL, Layla, but it was actually the ML, Matthias, but that can be debated. I think a lot of readers online didn't understand the story as the narration is very deep. Layla hates Matthias from the beginning (he didn't do anything wrong yet) so readers will hate him too. You have to read deeply and a long time to see what she really hates. From what I read online, Korean readers love this novel because the narration is very psychological. The feelings of the leads are not direct, realistic, confusing and the narration is told of their denial the whole time so you have to make sure you read the hidden messages of their deep love. They both have love at first sight but it's not directly told in the narration. There are hidden messages you have to see. Example when Layla first meets Matthias she says, "His voice was like a waterfowl's feather." (she loves birds; there are many bird metaphors) meaning she was in love with him without understanding. I can see why people aren't emotionally invested in the FL and ML because the side characters are very well developed and they get hurt, directly and indirectly, by the leads so you really feel for their pain. The FL and ML are both in denial for so long that their relationship is really unhealthy. Matthias is a perfect, indifferent Duke which is not likeable in most of the book and Layla is a naive, innocent gardener's daughter who is always crying. I know some people get really upset for me saying this but I'll have to read again to come with a better opinion, Layla agrees to sleep with Matthias, she had opportunies to leave but she loves him. I like this story because there is a strong development of the "Father and Daughter relationship" and "best friend/brother" relationship. It's very loving, tragic and realistic. The story is realistic and psychological which is what I like in books.

I've played 'Arenas,' which are the PvP combats, but with my boyfriend, and only because I have to watch his back. He's the reckless type who goes one against all... and in battlegrounds, I just focused on healing, so I didn't kill anyone. On the contrary, I always got killed because I was the healer. Indeed, I thought that Drogo and Daenerys were like a mirror of Maxi and Riftan. So pity that Drogo had to die. I'm making a list of recommendations too! Hahaha, the only flaw is that I can't read everything. I need more hours in my day!

He makes me laugh everyday. He's timid, blunt, protective and hard on the outside but inside he's very sweet, caring, kind, empathetic and emotional. A Cancer Sign indeed.

I'm glad the manwha is conveying just how complex Chloe's character is, and there's still so much more to come! There are things I understood about her after my second novel reread and love them both even more now! I'm glad the manwha team loves the novel and is doing it justice!! Mmm, should I read the novel before the manwha? I'm waiting for Manta to upload all the epilogue episodes so 4 more weeks to go! The other manwha I was patient and binged like this was The Golden Forest and I'm so glad I did that, I cried A LOT, it was very cathartic! oh you convinced me! I KNOW!! I started to cry watching the video. Poor Riftan. If there is no manhwa or anime for his POVS I'll be very upset and sad!! Just think you shared that video on here and now it's on YouTube and someone said they purchased book 6 because of the video! My hubby and I say "Hello there" like every other day. We watched all 9 episodes in the theater and episode 3 got the most applause and laughs. Palpatine had the most audience reactions from episode 1-3. Funny how originally people hated the prequels and now they are liked. But, Disney really ruined Luke Skywalker for me and that was a line they crossed I can't forgive. My childhood hero was butchered by Disney. I have boycotted Disney since. Let me know what you think of Cry, Even Better if you Beg. Personally, I felt equal or more pain for the side characters. It hurts! Even for the mean character Claudine, in the end I felt bad for her.
Spoiler: Summary of 139 Hebaron wants to eat his meal in piece. Maxi wasn't the only person who felt uncomfortable of them arguing. Hebaron was just in an arduos battle and why these men are fighting with words, when they just won the battle and is better to join the feast. Kuahel doesn't care eating and Hebaron doesn't comprehend the situation. Richt wanting why Kuahel presence is there. Kuahel explains to them of the monsters try to destroy the barrier of Lexos mountains, the mana has been destroyed by the enemy and if the coalition army succeeds, it will fail and to purify they need a holy relic. The relic is named The Chalice of Purification and it purify tainted magic into holy water. Breston curious that the castle holds that kind of relic. Kuahel is there to take the relic to Lexos. With a sharp voice that the relic was entrusted to them. Maxi turns around and notices is the lady of the castle and she glares at Richt with such distaste. The pope has entrusted them with that relic and she wouldn't let it go as they pleased. Darund castle is in ruins and where the relic was withstanding in the chapel is in ruins, and what is the point of keeping the relic there? The lady of Darund face got dark of what Kuahel said, and she turned to look the clerics behind her and saw she wouldn't get help from them. She answers back at Kuahel but a promise is a promise they have made a substantial donation to the church to have the relic and is vital to their restoration, and if the relic is still in Darund, many will come for divine blessings. As always Richt with his immature speak of manner and how would she stop them, if they chose to take it, and she doesn't have many soliders and could do whatever they like as she can't do anything. Riftan shouts at Richt to shut his mouth. Maxi was startled and Lady Darund and the servants were surprised with Riftan response than Breston gross remarks. Riftan speaking with authority, they are knights, not plundered and Riftan will not condone pillaging. It also applies to Kuahel and nothing will be taken from the castle without the lady permission and he won't allow it. The fate of the seven kingdoms is at stake, if Riftan is going to risk the lives for just one estate, the land will be in peril if they don't stop the dragon from returning,is it Lady Darund wish that rebuilding Darund won't be possible? The relic is their only right, if they loose to it, Darund has no hope. The relic will be returned once the war is over and in exchange the church will help Darund restoration. Maxi noticed why the lady caused such a scene, that it was her plan all along. The lady has no reason to object his request. His response now calm the air but Riftan and Richt were hostile to each other and Maxi was looking back and forth with their tense faces at each other. Kuahel gets up of the table as his task was done. The Temple Knights will depart once she turn in the relic to them. With a low voice, Riftan calls his name, and Riftan tells Kuahel that Darund isn't close to Lexos mountains and the monsters have no reason to attack and could the monsters be after that relic. Kuahel didn't responded back, and that he knows it means the church has a mole. He suggest Kuahel to deal with the church. Maxi in thought that if Riftan was implying that Kuahel was passing information to the monsters. Is there any reason why a human would aid monster who are slaughtering and corrupting their souls. The monster polymorph as a human and infiltrated the church. While Maxi was having these thoughts, Riftan noticed she hasn't moved her spoon for a while. She saw Riftan with concern and force herself to eat, once she was done eating she got out of the table and went to her room. Maxi cleans herself and wanted to be awoke to wait for Riftan but she was too tired and went to sleep. Maxi woke up the next day and went into the chapel and saw many of the patients and was relieved that many of the patients didn't had the fever or unconscious. She went out of the chapel to find Riftan as he didn't slept yesterday with her as he must slept in the tent and was deliberating with the army. Maxi was right and she found him in the tents and calls on Riftan if he had any sleep? He did slept and why was Maxi outside during that hour. She came to check on the wounded soliders. She comes close to Riftan and is inside his coat. Riftan tells her if she is cold? She is and feeding the cold weather and looking at the snow and that he remembers both of them watching the first snowfall together? Riftan answers by the lake, and watching Riftan it reminded her of a hound, and she saw him with a smile and he does remember and both went a ride on their horses. Hebaron couldn't stand the quarreling as he must have seen how Maxi must have felt and was really helping his lady. The lady of the castle is smart if that was all her plan alone as she doesn't need to restore Darund with her own money as she will loose money to buy materials to restore the remains is as she killed two birds with one stone and the church will help her rebuild it all with their money. Richt and Leon need to listen who has all authority is Riftan as he is the Supreme commander he got what to say, what he can do and others are just subordinates. Riftan was warming Maxi up as it was cold and oh Maxi all the memories including you, he will never forget it, he will always cherish those memories. If Maxi is going to ask why Riftan face kind look sad but knowing Riftan he would lie or make an excuse or not open up.

@MARSEA12 you are really on top of summaries and get them out so fast! Hebaron is the voice of reason in this whole series. Hebby helps Maxi and Riftan say what they are thinking out loud. What a good friend to have. I think Kuahel was a little rude this chapter but he's sly with negotiating. The end of the chapter was so sweet! I loved Riftan hugging Maxi by the fire on the cool winter morning. So cute when he asks her if she's cold then wraps his cloak around her and they are reminiscing on memories together. I can't wait to see that part illustrated. This is exactly what Maxi was wanting for so long and she finally gets to be by Riftan's side and not waiting for him to return. Yup, Disney has lost it's soul. Their movies are failing in the box office and their parks have gone down hill. They took away FastPass, magical experiences and their ticket prices are outrageous. Their annual passes used to be so affordable back in the day. I used to go there all the time. My first job was at Disneyland! The Star Wars land is horrendous. No soul at all in SW land. Universal Studios did a much better job with Harry Potter land. Rachel Zegler's comments on Snow White is the epitome of everything wrong with the media and their agenda being shoved down our throats. I block all mainstream media. The truth is getting harder to find and it's going to get worse. Thank the heavens Sony Pictures has the rights to producing Spider-Man films. That's why their Spider-Man movies are so successful because Disney doesn't have control. Peter Parker is my all time favorite character. They took Luke Skywalker but all hell will break out if they ruin y Spider-Man.
