@Selina-may @Spidey1Fan I started watching My happy marriage last night and cried like a baby loving it so far! Very similar apparently to Maxi's story right? Seeing themselves like defenseless and useless but have a huge power within? I was planning to just start it and watch 1or 2 episodes since it was like 11 pm but I stayed up til almost 2 am @mireimisty hatred and toxicity are sadly waaaay too common online, we gotta learn how to ignore people who are just trying to force their opinion and/or hatred. Some are willing to talk and will respect your opinion differing but others are just in it to ruin the fun. I had a little "discussion" with someone on reddit recently talking about Damien (Betrayal of Dignity) and later I regretted even reading their comments. It's best to not pay attention when someone is clearly a hater. The ignore option is your friend here
Ugghhh yes. I watched My Happy Marriage in Netflix (for the anime version) and also the live-action! Do you know they have a live-action movie as well Yes, when I watched Happy Marriage, I had the same feeling as when reading UTOT. The difference is that, Miyo is already 'really good' but her skill was dormant. I think with Maxi, I love her diligent self. She stepped out of her comfort zone slowly and confronted her own demon. Also the dynamic between Kiyoka and Miyo are slightly different with Maxi and Riftan. Kiyoka is honestly 'very good'. He doesn't have any trauma or sad background. Meanwhile, Riftan did have his own fear. Thats how I feel UTOT is more realistic than My Happy Marriage. Would love to hear what do you think about Happy Marriage vs UTOT Thank you @tordocantor . I am absolutely fine with having healthy discussion with people that have different opinions. In fact, I enjoy a stimulating discussion based on facts. But if you are faced with people that started pointing out fingers and using harsh words just because they think they are correct. I agree, Ignore option is your friend. Yes, I agree. @mireimisty You're welcome and thank you for the explanation from BR. I'm currently a good 20 chapters behind on UTOT (compared to Marsea, for example). Take your time and enjoy this novel, it is beautiful, we all love it. But it doesn't occur to me to compare these two novels UTOT and my happy marriage because I perceive each story in its own way and I would find it bad if the novels were very similar. @tordocantor Yes, I can understand that about "happy marriage", I also really like the story. By the way, if you want the manhwa, it's also available in Kindle form or as a paperback on Amazon, just take a look, my friend Haters in forums: I think your advice about ignoring is very good and in my opinion it is the only good option.
I pre-ordered 3 copies! I LOVE to analyze characters. My husband and I analyze all the movies and shows we watch. I adore complex characters. My favorite villain is Darth Vader because the depth of his backstory and the redemptive arc. When you think about it....Darth Vader kills kids but fans don't seem to care. But in the Kwebnovel community people go crazy over trivial things. It's Fiction people! Manhwa readers crying, "Riftan wants sex all the time!" My response, "What's wrong with that?" There's no Starbucks to go on a date. There's monsters everywhere. I agree. P is doing her best. I'm overall impressed with the adaptation. The manhwa is very close to the books. It's best to read the books and the manhwa! The books have more detail, especially on the snu snu scenes! Welcome @mireimisty to UTOT forum! Fans are a lot nicer here compared to CEBIUB forum. I am very happy we finally have a "Finer Things" club going on in the forum. My heart was aching for a book club discussion. The book really needs finer things discussion. I have nothing against Riftan wants to have sex all the time, but if you base your relationship only about sex then it's unhealthy, in a relationship you need to balance everything, companionship, communication, trust, affection and even sex. Now the one who wants sex most of the time is Maxi and even in the a couple chapters ago Maxi wanted him and blame Riftan for starting and Riftan knows it and tells her he would do it how many times she wants it once the war is over.
Hey y’all! I like all of the points being made. Particularly, having Darth Vader as my favorite villain. Like who wouldn’t do absolutely anything & everything for love. If I were padme… I would’ve turned to the dark side for Ani, or at the very least rule the galaxy together w/o turning Also I do agree sex isn’t everything in a relationship, but then again I love it when the main characters are passionate in that aspect. A healthy dose of snu snu scenes sprinkled here and there are just *chefs kiss* . The trick is to not overpower the plot & important parts in the story. Some fans are just so very toxic & rude. They want to over psychoanalyze everything the characters do to the point of being malicious & hostile towards anyone who disagrees with them. At the end of the day “it’s not that deep”. Reading should be enjoyable and fun. Good thing there’s still some ppl out there who understand that & are able to interact with others in a polite way. I would just ignore or block (if possible) those type of ppl. Hahaha if I was in maxi’s shoes I would also want it all the time, war or no war Do y’all happen to remember when s2 part 3 of UTOT is coming out in Amazon?
I saw it on Manga UP! where I recently started reading The Apothecary Diaries, so after I finish the anime I'll for sure check it out!! I haven't seen or read FB! it's on my list but still pending

YESSSSS, an ANAKIN SKYWALKER FAN. Welcome to the DARK SIDE. My favorite is Episode III. That's the first movie my husband and I watched together. I had Star Wars music in my wedding. I walked down the aisle with the "Throne Room" song from episode IV. I was very close to dress as Padme and my husband as Anakin in our wedding but maybe for our vow renewals. When you think about it @mireimisty Anakin's process was "Loss Aversion". He was willing to do anything to save Padme. Palpatine exploits Anakin's fear and promises Anakin power to save Padme. Have you seen Star Wars Episode III? The scene with Padme, "You are breaking my heart." So sad.. This movie is so underrated. On the surface Anakin is an annoying cry baby. But when you dig deeper, Anakin is struggling with power, love, politics, fear. He has deep complex internal conflict.
Spoiler: Summary of 149 Ruth explains to Maxi about the barrier and how they weakened the dragon and why it was useless for mage to fight the dragon as the mana pathway rendered many of the Mage abilities. The TK had this plan in the beginning but if they went with the plan, Riftan wouldn't be known as the dragon slayer. Maxi shocked that their plan failed. Ruth explains more to her what was their initial plan, and if Riftan didn't intervene it would been a distratous failure. Ruth is certain that Riftan was unsure of his success, he did manage to slay the dragon, absorbing its fla,es almost ruptured his mana pathway, it was miraculous he wasn't burn into ashes. After getting all the information of how Riftan defeated the dragon and if they fail to stop the dragon could Riftan risk his life again? Riftan answer with yes if the dragon returns from his former glory, if Sektor is more weaker, Riftan doesn't have to risk his life again. After Maxi was done with her meal and speaking to Ruth she went back to the barrack and finds Riftan and others speaking. She noticed it was tense moments between each other. Kuahel saw her and needed info from a mage. He points on the map if magic can be use to dig a tunnel. Maxi explains what can her magic capabilities do with the tunnel. Riftan with his map tells all the forces on which side will be their positions and where to infiltrate. With the tunnel dig Riftan was looking back and forth between Maxi and Ruth who to choose and Maxi was going to volunteer but held back and it was a difficult choice to choose but he entrusted Maxi for the task. Maxi was so happy that is the first mission Riftan entrusted her. Elliot will accompany Maxi and once the tunnel is ready she ne3ds to rejoin with the army immediately. Ruth was going to serve as an offensive support once the battle began, the mages of the Wedonian army and the high priests were to assist the duchy forces in the siege and attend to the wounded. Once the meeting was over, Max was going to prepare stuff to take for her mission. Even she would wear a different attire so it can blend with her surroundings and she wrapped her hair with a gray linen so it would cover her red hair. She felt a hand wrap around her arm it was Riftan, she could sense in her eyes that he was filled with anxiety. Riftan tells Maxi to promise him to not push herself and if she thinks the plan will fail, she must return to the camp immediately. Maxi understands and gives his word. Riftan baring his heart would be less terrifying than what she would do and even Maxi feels the same. Now I understand more why Riftan duel with Kuahel and he could see through that his plan could been a diaster in the beginning. If he never duel him, he wouldn't be known or where he is today. Maxi fears he could risk his life again as in the past was live or die situation but this time it won'tbe the same as he has someone he can return to and a person who loves him dearly. It must been a hard choice to choose Maxi for the mission but it's the first time he entrust her in a mission. Maxi you better keep your promise of being safe and not to do anything recklessly, so Riftan can trust in more missions and doesn't have to be always anxiety driven. Both care and love for each other and are afraid to loose each other. . .
After rereading both books for the 20th time i just realized that Riftan had mentioned how he cut Sektor's head off. Sooo how did Sektor's head reattach when the monsters were able to revive him? Or did i miss the explanation...cause I was too busy drooling over a brooding paladin
I might have Across the Stars somehow incorporated when I do wed.Ahh same here I love Episode III !! There’s just too many “What if’s” that really have you wanting to know how different it would be if Anakin hadn’t turned? or how powerful he would’ve been not burned to a crisp and on a life support suit? If he had listened to padme and gone to Naboo away from it all? If they had raised their kids together? Too much heartache in going that rabbit hole but would be interesting to know. It’s amazing how a franchise this beloved touched many ppls lives, to have them forever be apart of some of our most memorable moments<3 The piece “La leçon particulière” fits perfectly to Anakin’s character. When I first heard it (in an edit), it matched everything he went through and his inner struggles. At least in my humble opinion, I consider it his song. I was appalled that back when they came out , the prequels and the actors were being hated on really bad. Specially our man Hayden… they didn’t deserve him I’m glad now he’s getting the recognition and love he deserves Ahh it’s already midnight here in Texas. Technically today (11/16) is when part 3 of season 2 will come out on Amazon & Waiting is not my forte …. Idk if I should wait until S2 is completed or give in and read however many chapters part 3 is gonna be. If the chapters are bundled how they were previously, then we’ll be waiting for 6 parts total (including 2 ethylene chapters) Tough decision indeed
I doubt this will happen but my wishful thinking. Spoiler: Sektor I really want Sektor to come back as an undead Dragon just like Viserion from Game of Thrones. Yeah, it's the same logic with vampires right?
Spoiler: Summary of 150 Maxi and Riftan comfort each other before they go on their mission. Maxi promise Riftan that she will come back safe and Riftan entrusted her on that mission because he believes she can make it. Elliot accompany her and see the weather and it is a good sign. Maxi wants to know if they can start but Kuahel tells her to wait. Then she goes into the tunnel and uses her earth element and she gets dirt in her mouth. After she is done a part of it, Elliot gives her a flask as she had dirt in her mouth. Kuahel needs the job to finish before sunset and Maxi frustrated that he won't let her rest. So she digs more the tunnel and after she is done she is dirty and feels like to take a bath but Kuahel wants her still to work diligently. She uses a trace spell and notice that the monsters were unaware and tells the TK to have their guard up The TK in formation enter in the tunnel but Maxi is relief that her work is done as the tension of her aching back and arms eased off. This time Maxi did kept her promise to Riftan of being safe and not doing anything recklessly. Riftan insecurities are now easing off as Maxi is important to him as just he is important to her. Before Maxi leaves to her task she cuddles him. Maxi did sure not had an easy task on the tunnel, it was really narrow as she was digging up more and felt like a mole in a hole and Kuahel was tiring her out with no rest. She really got dirty and clean her dirt of on Elliot. Elliot was really gentleman gave her water and a handerkerchhief. Maxi really had a neat braid and use a headscarf to cover her hair so it wouldn't ruined but after she was done it got all scrumpled as she is curly hair is going to take a while to fix her hair as it would be all in knots and tangled. At the end of the day she could now have some rest after all the hard work she went through it must been a long day for Maxi.
When I read UTOT I toally think of Hayden as Sir Kuahel. Yup, poor Hayden received way too much hate when episode II was released. I'm so glad he's finally getting the respect he deserves. I think fans expected Anakin to be confident like Darth Vader in the original trilogy but he's still a kid in episode II and he has "feelings" for Padme. Padme and Anakin had "tragic love", "star-crossed love", "forbidden love" from day one. You should definitely play "Across the Stars" on your wedding day. It's a classic. Here is a link for anyone who wants to listen. There are a lot of too many "what if's" in episode III. Here is fan art of Padme joining Anakin.
