Personally, I'm not sure why they would rush BoD. That novel is short already....

As for BR, I can see why Chokam say she's always looking for things to cut since BR is long, but I've seen manhwas that are done very well with slow-pacing. 'Like Wind on a Dry Branch' is slow-paced but it gets so much praise for it. The fact that the storyteller chose to make a character-driven slow-paced story fast-paced instead just shows she fails at her job. So many people may compliment her but they're not understanding the long-term result of the story. Right now they probably think she's doing a good job because the art is good and it's "easier" to read due to lesser lines, but when Ines accepts Carcel's love, will it be a good job? Is it a good job that Ines suddenly likes Carcel out of nowhere? Was it a good job that she suddenly claims she had always feel safe around Carcel when the whole season 1 shows nothing? I saw some newtoki comments for this new chapter and 90% of it were negative towards Carcel. Looks like she did a "good job" at letting the manhwa readers stay hating Carcel if that was her goal.

Somehow she puts more care to the painter than Carcel when he's not even the male lead. She should've said her favorite character is the painter and not Raul. I wouldn't be surprised if that's true. The fact that her Twitter pfp is even Carcel feels like a mockery and I sometimes wish she changes it because of how she's screwing over the romance between him and Ines. I'm just so upset. I've never seen a confession scene so poorly done, ever. Even other manhwas that weren't adapted that well have better confession scenes. Maybe they won't mess up Ines' confession since they love her but Carcel's confession was just as important. It was a huge turning point.

Maybe it's because it's KKP. They play so safe with the snu. You should see Kim Chacha's other novel's manhwa adaptation. That manhwa has way better smut. Check 'Quiet in the Office!' and you'll see what I mean by way better smut. The raws for that one is hosted on Ridibooks.

But... this artist might just draw flat asses. Even their beloved painter got a flat ass so at least that's all fair.

I think the author's other adaptation's smut is also better. Stealing the Lady's Heart. The couple there is so wholesome and cute. I read them to make up for missing cute couple scene in BR but now that confession is done and over with, I can look forward to more cute scenes form Ines and Carcel

One of mines when Ines runs to Carcel under the tree. They flirted in front of everyone without a care and even ignored Oscar when he tried to ask why Carcel there.

I read the novel before and saw some of the smut scenes from the manhwa but I don't follow that manhwa as much as 'Quiet in the Office!' because even that smut is tame compared to QitO.

Looks like a lot of people like that scene. I think even @Celebrianna mentioned liking that scene before.

But aside from that cute scene, I think I also like when they kiss in public during the ceremony for Carcel's promotion. It was the one with my favorite illustration in the novel. During that ceremony, Carcel even talked back to Oscar, telling him that his is good with the gun so she can shoot a dog that doesn't behave (referring to Oscar).

I think more manhwa artists should learn to draw asses for their male characters.

There's a baseball smut knovel that I read and when that manhwa came out, ML's ass was also flat. I was flabbergasted since baseball players are known for their asses... How could they ruin it?

 

I’m looking through Broken Ring TikTok and saw something very interesting. Many of us would agree that the novel and manhwa are definitely different from one another. Some of us can even agree that Ines in the novel and Ines in the manhwa are two different people.

Also, another interesting thing on another tiktok I saw was this person’s comments about Carcel. For context, it was an edit of the scene where Ines ran away from the scene of Carcel and that delusion woman. The person was leaving replies about how Carcel was the wrong one under comments that talks about how messed up Ines was for setting him up. They also have the audacity to even argue with a novel reader and share wrong information about the story. The person then went on to saying that Ines never wanted a baby with Carcel

Also, I am very disappointed with how they adapted Carcel’s confession…I was holding my hope for the manhwa to at least do his confession justice and the following scenes. Its my fault for still expecting them to do better Just hoping the manhwa won’t follow the same path as “Twilight Poem”/“Heeran Love Song”.

 

But the manhwa shows she wants a baby. When she was talking to the butler.

It's part of her plan. She only divorcing after having a baby.

There are multiple times in the manhwa that showed she needed/wanted a child with him. The first was when she asked him to schedule for days good to get pregnant. That was in the very beginning right after their marriage.

I didn't mind manhwa but I was reaaaaally looking forward to the confession so I was disappointed from what others saying, I don't think ppl on twitter and tiktok know novel

 

I see some people who are manhwa readers complained about the dragging of Ines' plotting, and they didn't see any developments between Ines and Carcel so they dropped the manhwa.

 

Some ppl just want to stay not knowing novel but then spreading wrong spoilers there just got to stop

Makes sense when the cut all that out in the manhwa. Wat we suppose to take from the development? Ines and Raul say she smile cuz Carcel. Ok gotcha, we dont need to see it to believe it so guess they developed behind the scenes. This storyteller just relying heavy on us reader to imagine it ourselves. Sorry but like who want to root for things where we got to imagine half their development. Ines say she always feel stable about Carcel. When that happen? Got to just take her word for it ig should I even believe her word when like she call Carcel a womanizer all the time? so which words of her are right?
