I seldom heard it before the pandemic. I'm a 90th generation so not really familiar with "toxic", "doxing", "ghosting". I read somewhere bout' Riff and Maxi's relationship which is labelled as "toxic" by some people. However, in my opinion both have their own strength and weakness. One thing for sure, their childhoods are gloomy and painful. They also suffer from trauma! I might assume that Riff suffers from a kind of PTSD. And, please remember there is neither psychiatrist nor psychologist in The Middle Ages. I need to confess that I'm so glad to learn that their relationship is able to more and more develop. I also feel like Kim Soo Ji intends to make Maxi stronger and more independence by separating her from Riff and letting her to develop herself, such as creating golems.

Today webtoon chapter had so many differences from the book and also a chunk of the scenes got cut out.
Personally, I found the chapter a little strange at the beginning. The way Riftan behaved towards Maxi. It seemed to me a little as if Maxi first begged and then felt sad and a little humiliated. Anyone who doesn't know the novel might assume something similar. Somehow strange, it's just a feeling. Maybe I just felt that way....

Actually I didn't realize that I had written my post in Italian, I must have made a mistake with the translator that is always turned on and automatically translates the pages from English So now I edited my previous post! I have not bought the Amazon ebooks yet, I want to buy them all together in order for me to read the whole story in one go! In the meantime I bought and read a bunch of completed stories on Ridibooks, but of course they are all MTL.

Riftan has another way to get the supplies but Maxi doesn't like the way is being approached with getting the supplies. The duke needs to abide by the rules of the councils. Maxi has already something in mind to convince the eastern nobles. She already has her plan in mind but first she wants to consult Riftan. she goes where Riftan is but sees him having a meeting with the CC of the other kingdoms. She goes to Hebron and what she says is giving a smirk on Hebaron face. She is accompanied by Hebaron and goes into sir Derek tent and he doesn't have a higher regard on her. Maxi tells him in a refined voice what she wants Sir Derek to do and whom the supplies be sent to. Maxi character growing and speaking as a refined noblewoman. Her father could've chosen to pick a wife and love her than buying her and love his children but not to as he was obsessed having a male heir and it is his greed, power and pride that has gotten in his way. He won't have any remorse dying in his deathbed and his fault why their daughter despise them. It seems the duke was never raised by love and could be the reason why he mistreated his wives and daughters. Maxi would love see him dying sad alone but he won't even feel any of it as he has too much pride in him. With his short time leaving he could ask forgiveness or turn around but nope, he rather not change and be the same person with so much greed and hatred in his heart and the hatred he is having that is deteriorating his health. Hebaron really loves his lady antics he was so excited on what is she planning. Maxi speaking like a queen about the supplies and she said it without help. She really did hold her head high.

A side story of Ursuline is coming out almost. The one of them having children is coming out next year. Same I prefer see more fluffy moments between them.

At first she has hard time to convince him but at the end Sir Derek gave in. She had hard tome to convince him as they are self centered nobles who care for their status. After Maxi was done speaking to him. Hebaron was teasing Maxi of her bravery and that it made him wet in fear. Maxi tells Hebaron if he think the Duchy vassals would send the supplies and He answers back they wouldn't be fools not to and Maxi will be surprised how many fools exist. If supplies don't arrive faster than soldiers have to eat stale bread and watery bean porridge and then Riftan would have to fund it himself. Maxi won't let his father exploit anymore. She gets an eerie feeling someone was watching her and it was Breston. Breston saw the supplies were decreasing a was a reason for him to withdraw from the army. The next day many residents of Midna go into the walled city. The wagon had supplies from the southern region. Didn't had many provisions to supply a large army but were securing for the next region as the hors3s can't wait for an extended time. Maxi was riding in the snowy fields, and had some illusions of her father but his refusal to help them made her angry and if her father were to die she wouldn't shed a tear for him. She heard Riftan saying they will rest there. Riftan dismount and wants to help to get down from her horse. Maxi is speaking but then Riftan grabs her from the waist and lift her off from her mare. Maxi can be a great queen or politician assge was negotiating about the supplies. These nobles are to afraid to stand up against the duke because they only care about their status. Don't come crying if a loved one comes dying or something happens to your home from the dragon as you guys were to chicken to believe or work with someone. A many dying like your father can't make rational decisions but might have a righthandman can do decisions for him. He is not at door's death but has not that much to live, it could be few months or in few years. Maxi had illusions of her father, she must be hoping of her father changing, forgiving or showing some affection. Maxi you can see now your father won't change. Maxi you are really naive. Maxi you don't need shed a tear from this man. You will tears should be relief once he is gone and you will breathe better. Richt is a creep glaring a married woman and he need to set your boundaries straight and now respect. Maxi wanted to get by herself down by the horse but Riftan took her down y his arms. This small gestures are always tender and beautiful he does for Maxi. Riftan must have seen through and wasn't going to take a no for an answer.
