After Vieze's plan to arrange a marriage between Larane and Astana failed because Larane ran away, Lulac kicked Vieze and his family out of Lombardi's main mansion to the back annex. The back annex is the place where Lombardi lets their guests reside, meaning Vieze and his family are now treated as outsiders. Lulac also stopped all financial support and priveleges that Vieze receives as a Lombardi.

Because of this event, the empress have no more use of Vieze and Serral because she's sure that Vieze was already thrown out of the succession race. Even when Serral asked for help, the Empress ignored them because they aren't useful anymore.

Serral gave Bellesac a dagger and persuaded him to join the hunting competition hosted by Lombardi so that he could help Astana when he's in danger and gain back his trust.

Spoiler: Hunting Competition

During the hunting competition, Astana got drunk from the magical atmosphere of the forest that it caused him to go mad. He impulsively planned to kill Perez in the forest during the hunting competition. But due to his magic drunkenness, he mistook the emperor as Perez and attacked him. His sword was blocked by the imperial knights and he lost grip. He then took Bellesac's dagger and tried to attack the emperor again. His hand was cut off by Perez, and the imperial knights collected his severed hand and the dagger as evidence of the assassination. Astana was detained, and because the dagger belongs to Bellesac, he too was sent to prison.

The empress' subordinate knight tried to kill Bellesac in prison and disguise it as suicide, and use Bellesac as a scapegoat for Astana. Tia and Perez helped Bellesac and secretly got him out of prison. Bellesac was sent to Serral and they lived as if dead at a small villa at the end of Lombardi land.

Ever since he was thrown out of the main mansion, Vieze has been drinking everyday. He didn't know where his wife and son went. He blamed Serral for giving Bellesac the dagger and ordered her to kneel before the royal family. After Tia became the official Deputy of Lombardi, Lulac finally kicked Vieze out of Lombardi.

She loves him. He never reciprocates (It’s implied in the 1st tl he didn’t either, IF they really were engaged, it was only so he could have an empress.) Eventually she accepts that Perez will only love Tia, and she’s eventually inspired by Tia to become the head of her own family.

 

Tia knows that the empress is reluctant to deal with two people: Lulac and Perez. Just in time, Tia saw Perez arrive and greeted him. Perez then approached their group and greeted Tia as if they were meeting for the first time in 6 years. Tia deliberately made a fuss about Perez' achievements at the academy and the engagement talk were forgotten by the onlookers. The nobles then focused on Perez' achievements and the topic that the emperor permitted Perez to attend the nobles' conference was also brought up, making Lavini and her group stand there with rotting faces Tia, as the host of the party, then suggested that she should introduce Perez to other people since he has been away from the capital for too long. The empress had no choice but to permit them to go to save face.

 

So they were never into fake engagement etc in 2nd tl right? I saw one comment somewhere saying they went into fake engagement together because of the queen and I was freaking out because our girl Tia is lowkey jealous of OGFL because of her insights from her previous life.

 

The fake engagement in the 2nd timeline was between Perez and Tia. It's in order to free Lulac from the Golden order that restricts him from leaving Lombardi mansion, and to save Larane from the unwanted engagement to Astana. Although, of course, Perez never thought that their engagement was fake

 

What about lulac/Rulac Lombardi? Is he still alive? Did his eyesight got bad ?

 

Yeah he’s still alive, I’m not sure about his eyesight though.

 

He's still well even until the side stories. He even went on a 3-day hunting trip, and when Tia was pregnant with her first child, grandpa Lulac made 4 cradles for the baby Though Tia nagged him to stop making cradles cos her grandpa has a bad shoulder

Sigh...out of all the female characters in the manhwa, Tia is drawn the worst. I thought it was only while she was young, and that the artist will draw her better once she grown up, but no.

And now she's even drawing the grown ML bad.

Both leads look good as adults in chapter 0, so why are they drawn much worse now after so many chapters?
