Don't they make changes after they see confusion?

 

@NohrNeir Seems like they changed the mistranslation from the latest chapter, it went from ‘me’ to ‘you’. But it would have been better if they translated it properly in the first place or they fixed it right away. Most manhwa readers don’t even read the chapters again.

 

I'm glad that's fixed but you're right, it would've been better if they never made the mistake in the first place. The official novel translation is even worse. There's more translation mistakes in that one than the manhwa. As you've said, most readers don't read the chapters again. Maybe on the bright side, most readers also have poor memory, but I believe free readers won't see the edit... As for fixing it right away, that's pretty impossible given when we get the translation. It's usually Saturday midnight EST and they don't work over the weekends. I normally see whenever I email them on Fridays or weekends, I only get a human response the following weekday. I will receive the automated bot response from initial email but the follow-up human response comes later on weekdays.

 

Anyone else think feeling in this ch so different from novel? idk how to describe it but like i get the feeling she was sad he wasn't there in the novel and the manhwa drew chibis instead

 

The chapter conveyed an entirely foreign vibe to the novel. The entire thing. Even the part where she spoke to Raul. Even she said in that section that her plan is ruined yet the amazing storyteller had her saying things that made it seem that she still hasn’t realized her plan is ruined. But about the first part, yes she was emotional when she woke up and wonderful storyteller turned it into comedy. We know she reflected on how she was wrong about Carcel from the start, that she felt a sense of shame for her mistake, that she didn’t like that he wasn’t there when she woke up, how she felt sentimental which was unlike her, that she wondered if the loneliness from her dream was conveyed to her present, and so on. Her whole vibe in the novel was different to storyteller extra-butchering of this chapter.

 

I like the novel more. @NohrNeir mentioned before that Ines don't like when Carcel not there and this was one of those small scenes that should be taken serious cuz it shows how far she come along loving him back

So you think storyteller will change the story to make her still keep trying to divorce?

 

No I highly doubt that. It's still following the novel. The storyteller isn't good at coming up with their own lines if they're taking from the novel

I've seen some say Ines' outfits more modern than the ppl round her so this might be it

She's such a fashion icon, she jumping centuries in fashion

 

The top looks too modern but bottom looks fine

 

It's probably very lazy, simplistic plaid so it looks modern because checkered design is more modern (more in the 1950s) but the silhouette matches with her other dresses and plaid is an older style.

Since we're on the topic of fashion, I have a huge gripe on how they can't even use fashion to bring in the setting. I've mentioned before how the setting/background/world in which the story takes place is pretty dead in the manhwa, but even with the seasons, it's unnoticeable at all. I remember when Carcel first wore his winter uniform, that was the only fashion that showed a change in the season, but then Ines stood next to him with the short-sleeve dresses she wore all year round. Even if Calztela was said to be warmer than Mendoza, it still gets chilly and there are slight differences between the seasons which we are not seeing at all with their fashion aside from Carcel's uniform.

Maybe that's why she keeps getting sick in the manhwa. She doesn't dress for the weather.

 

Its already hard to tell the seasons apart in the manhwa but the clothes ain't helping

I did like the black outfit she wore for church and the dress she was wearing for when Carcel confronted her about her 'plan'.
I thought that they complement the setting the author tries to convey.

 

I do like when they match outfits though but otherwise, I really don't think they think much about the setting. In the beginning, there was more references to historical Spanish wear. I can definitely see it with the veils and scarves and even the empress' crown and veil, but as the story move on, the fashion just pull further away from that aspect. Now it's just, as long as it looks good on Ines, it doesn't matter. Personally I'm so tired of Ines in the manhwa that I would rather see Carcel in a different outfit. He wears that white shirt or his work uniform too often. His uniform does change from time to time though, but I haven't seen it return to the chapter 1 version since then, and that's my favorite version of his uniform. I guess it's too much detail to draw.

This outfit doesn't look like something a noble would wear.

The veil helped convey that. I think the prologue dress fit the setting more.

I didn't notice their matching maybe there are more. Now I have reason to reread

 

Maybe they ran out of ideas on what to dress her in. The only outfit I'm excited to see her in would be the white dress when she kiss Carcel. In novel it say it's more fancy than the wedding dress she borrow from her mum.

Only thing manhwa got right is Ines likes purple

Anyone else upset that they boost prices when manhwa not good enough?

 

Just going to share here as well how cutting out lines will one day reveal the flaws of the manhwa more and more.

Back in chapter 47 of the manhwa, storyteller cut out lines where Ines told Carcel that she's not new as he might've guessed from their wedding night. In that very same chapter, Carcel came back home to question Ines. He asked about the "man from her past" due to what she said that morning. What the storyteller cut out. Ines in that chapter denied having a man before when she chose him at age 6 so it wouldn't make sense. He begrudgingly accepted that.

Now that we're on chapter 56 in the novel, this "man from her past" was brought up again. Does it make sense for Carcel to bring it up again if Ines had denied it before and the manhwa cut out Ines telling Carcel she had a past as well? Why would he still think there's a man from her past if Ines already denied it unless he heard it from somewhere else and it was from where the manhwa cut out those lines. She revealed it during a moment of frailty when she wasn't wide awake as it was early morning.

What's more funny is how Carcel in chapter 56 said Ines was the one who said she had a past. Well, as we know Ines in the manhwa was not shown saying it, but the novel did....

@rainevenstar from Twitter told me something about episode 1 of the official translation and I went back to check on it. As one can see, just from the very beginning, the official translator has been bias translating portraying Carcel in a more negative light than he really was from the raws.

So I went to check the official translation from episode 1:

There's a lot more examples that follow afterwards from the official translation. I might have let this one go before since they released a lot of episodes from 1st release and I was focused more on fixing the miscorrelations. I just remember them getting even their ages wrong...

On another note, I've finished working on this. I bolded the name of the land that I was not sure in since the text from the image is too blurry for me... Most of the names come from some Spanish places and names so when I can't see any correlation, I feel a bit iffy if I got it right.
