Spoiler: Summary of 160 Riftan is going to go to Dristan to get the supplies but Maxi doesn't want him to spend his money but he needs the supplies now. Riftan reassures Maxi and she should stop having guilt and is getting tiring as she is a Caypse and not a Croyso anymore. Riftan commamded the soldiers to put the supplies on the wagons as the supplies will last for a week for the whole army. Maxi goes into the stable to get Rem and her horse was stubborn as they were going to go to an ardous journey in the icy cold weather. She see Ruth in the wagon and see that Ruth has an unshakable father to Riftan. All the coalition army trek to the arduos journey and finally Maxi was happy to sleep at night in the tent as she was tired riding all day, she set her bedroll and went to sleep. After walking up the army journey in hard terrain until she saw a building and was happy at least she can have rest. Elliot heard her husband voice and that they were going to stay in one day. They open the gates for the coalition army and received a warm welcome and adorned woman comes a greets Riftan and it has been a while he has seen him again. Maxi sees this woman with jewelry and reaches a hand to Riftan. Maxi guilt would take a while to go away as she feels bad what has happened with Riftan but is already tiring of him to see her having guilt and he reassure her and this time Riftan said to her she is a Calypse last time Maxi said she was Calypse and not Croyso, Riftan seemed upset. Now this Riftan knows what she really meant when she said that. Having supplies for a week won't last as the soldiers were trekking Maxi saw how moody they were. Now that all made it to the castle and Maxi was surprised how the structure looked as she heard Dristan were uncivilized, barbaric, but is was far from different what she heard it looked like. Of course you believe those lies as Dristan was enemy to Croyso and your father would spew it and you were always locked in the castle and never went out on how it really looked like. Now that a woman came and it seems she knows Riftan from the past and he didn't matter how she addresses him. Of course Riftan is from a commoner background he doesn't care about formalities. I sense Maxi jealousy uprising and she might feel insecure about this woman.
I love the romance in book two so much and also how confident and open Maxi is. I love her so much! And the thought of the ending starts to get to me, I don’t think I’ll be able to just leave this story behind after finishing it especially since it’s been such a long journey yess it seriously is like a different story now. The first half of the book really annoyed me but after that banquet scene everything between them changed and I’m loving it
Might seem a little crazy, but I made some calculations in relation to UTOT Amazon season 2 releases. This is what I got. UTOT Volume 2 S2 P1:Ch’s 1-40 Apr. S2 P2:Ch’s 41-81 Jul. S2 P3:Ch’s 82-124 Nov. S2 P4:Ch’s 125-169? Apr.? S2 P5:Ch’s 170-210? Jul.? Since season 1, the books have been roughly 40 chapters each and the release date have been around 3 months apart. We see some of that in effect for season 2. Up until S2 P3 that pattern has changed. S2 P 1-2 have had 40 chapters, but P3 has 42. It made sense to finish the conflict instead of ending it at a bad place, hence the 2 additional chapters. So in my estimate the next “conflict” in the story starts at ch 125 and ends on a sensible place at ch 169 (giving us 44 chapters for part 4) & (the remaining 40 chapters), we have the final conflict at ch 170 closing it at the epilogue ch 210. Following Amazon’s lead on release dates, starting the year they will give us S2 P4 around April ,and hopefully the final installment (P5) around July. Which, imo coincides perfectly with the en route print of UTOT Volume 1 (July 9-10.) I know it’s not a grand discovery, but it sure eases the nerves of anticipation hahah. Many exciting things awaits us next year. A lot to look forward to!!
And also riftan letting maxi do whatever she wants even though he is so afraid of her getting in danger is so cute in a way. It’s just nice to see that he is slowly letting go of his fears or at least trying not to burden maxi. I mean looking at book 1 maxi was a bird in a cage Urgh it’s gonna take so looong!
I can understand you well. When it's over, I'll read it again from the beginning anyway, because so far my reading has mostly only consisted of spoilers or slow parts of the book that you have to wait for. And even then, I will definitely read them often. It won't "gather dust" for me. And I'm glad that you can read the coming chapters more happily again. I also thought at first that there was some kind of pattern to publishing. However, this is only true to a limited extent, because Ridi - even in the future - always has to incorporate some silk stories and many of them are even still in the works at KSj! So in my opinion you can no longer assume a uniform pattern. What I agree with you on, however, is that we can and will all look forward to the coming chapters and side stories, even if it doesn't quite fit into the planned schedule. We´ll see.

Spoiler: Summary of 161 The noblewoman wanted to stick with Riftan and kiss her hand. Maxi frown at her brazeness and wonder how did Riftan knew this Dristan noblewoman. Riftan rejects kissing her hand as her brother is a king Thorben and he would be furious if he found out his lips touched her hand for his dearest sister. Maxi was surprised that she was royalty and that Riftan was the only one had acquaintance with Riftan. The princess can see that Riftan hasn't changed. Maxi had an urge to go up at Riftan and demand him of how long has he known this woman, but she didn't want Riftan see her as a jealous wife who wants her husband all for herself. As they entered the castle the army is accommodating in some rooms, others soldiers in the annex and guard house are the rest in the inn and Althouse. Riftan was giving instructions to the knights and saw Maxi look tired. Riftan wants a servant to show them to a room as his wife needs rest. The princess is surprised that Riftan has a wife. She was looking up and down at Maxi, and she gave her the most charming smile and said her full name, "Maximillian Calypse". The princess said her full name and it makes Maxi being the eldest daughter of Croyso. Lienna saw different Maxi as what the rumors said. Before Maxi could finish her heated sentence, the princess asked a maidservant to show their guest room at the second floor. The princess gave Riftan a suggestive smile and that he needs to stay as they have matter to discuss. Riftan rather as he wants rest and wrap his arm around Maxi. The princess can't see how Riftan offending her will do any good. Maxi realize that the princess is trying to keep Riftan there to rile her as she hold a hostility to her from the long dispute Dristan had with the duchy of Croyso. Maxi will be fine on her own and Riftan can do what he needs to do. Maxi saw Riftan wasn't happy and wanted her to insist him to come with her. Riftan conceded that it wouldn't look good to offend the mistress of the castle as the coalition army needed supplies and provisions. Riftan kisses Maxi forehead and can go and have rest. The princess was watching them with a haughty expression. Maxi felt a scowl coming but then follow the maidservant to the room. The maidservant was going to draw her a bath and bring her a change of clothes. Maxi sat down and waited in the room and the maidservant brought a tub with steaming water,towels and a clean linen dress. Maxi took a bath and didn't had jewels to adorn herself but wasn't going to look haggard in front of an arrogant noblewoman and she was fixing her tangled hair. Maxi heard someone in the corridor before the person knocked the door, she opened the door and saw it was Elliot. He is glad Maxi is awake. There's nothing the matter, that the mistress of the castle prepared a banquet and he came to escort Maxi to the dining hall. Maxi was displeased and wanted to know where was Riftan? Riftan was in the dinning hall negotiating for supplies. Maxi assure that the negotiations for the supplies is with that snobbish woman. Knowing the the proceeding will go well without her, she didn't want to be the only one missing the banquet. Maxi wanted to know how is the princess acquainted with Riftan? After Riftan recently became a knight, he was a spy for Dristan and likely met the princess. Maxi gets this picture in her mind of 18 year old Riftan beautiful and trying to seduce the princess, but then she erases the image out of her mind as it was unpleasant and she didn't want to find the full extent of their relationship. Maxi enters into the dinning room and it was full of high ranking knights. Riftan and Lienna were sitting in the seats of honor and she could sense the tension between them. This princess really needs to know manners and have respect as Riftan is a married man. If Riftan kissed Lienna hand, he knows too well Maxi would get jealous and be angry at him so he had to said a cover up. Maxi you can't hide your jealousy forever to yourself, later you will burst it out as you have done in the past. This princess was surprised that Riftan was a married man, the whole continent knows who Riftan married and who is his wife. This princess saw Maxi was different than what the rumors said and Maxi wanted to know as she was going to respond angrily. The rumors she must heard that came from Croyso and she must seen how beautiful she is. This princess was giving Riftan a suggestive smile as her smile was seductive as Riftan would fall into your seductive charms. She wasn't happy that Riftan was being affectionate to Maxi, what she thought Riftan was in an unhappy marriage, he is happily married and who loves his wife dearly. The princess is hostile to Maxi due to the long dispute Dristan with the duchy of Croyso but Maxi doesn't have to do anything from the dispute as she was hated in Croyso and wasn't treated well. Maxi must thought it was Riftan behind the door but it was Elliot. Riftan was working a spy in Dristan, maybe had to do with Croyso or something else. He must met the princess and maybe seduce him and rejected her advances. Maxi what you were picturing in your mind it didn’t happen, any woman who seduces Riftan, he will reject it. Maxi saw the tension between Lienna and Riftan, he just wanted to get over with it as he wants to have rest and sleep the whole night with Maxi. The princess thought she had a chance with Riftan and saw he hasn't changed and has not interest for her. Riftan is madly in love with his wife. I loved that Maxi said her full name loud and proud at the snobbish princess, "Maximillian Calypse".
@marsea, thank you for this new spoiler. I remember this pushy and envious “person”. And I agree with you, she has no chance at Riftan and that's a good thing. He has actually rejected every woman who has thrown herself at him - because he only loves and has always loved one woman and that is his beloved Maxi.
Spoiler: Summary of 162 Maxi goes into the dinning hall and sits down in a seat. The princess is riling up Maxi just because she was Croyso daughter and the nerve of this woman to play a game of cat and trying to put stake at Riftan and Maxi marriage. Riftan was angry really at this princess of what she was saying. Richt steps in and ask her questions of why is she is a dangerous place all alone? She doesn't need to tell him about Dristan internal affairs. Richt believes in there's a scandal going on and Maxi saw them as a perfect match but just this one time she let's Richt pass with his rudeness. Maxi gets up and leave, so they both can talk each other. Riftan follows Maxi and explains her she had nothing with that woman but in the past she had advances towards him and she is resentful for rejecting her. Maxi her intrusive thoughts gets on her and Riftan is being honest that he only had eyes for her, Maxi is angry that he can't see that she is jealous. Riftan is smiling because of Maxi jealousy and he be adorable to Maxi and enter to the room. The nerve of this princess trying to destroy a marriage and still feels bitter that Riftan rejected her in the past. Riftan was being attentive to Maxi, she really had to use that against her and that Riftan did the same to her. Maxi was fuming with jealousy and stabbing the knife in the ham. I can't stand this princess she just want to get on Maxi for being Croyso daughter and that man she wanted to have in the past is happily married to her sworn enemy. She must thought he was in an unhappy marriage as it was a forced marriage. Maxi was really upset that a woman try to seduce her husband. Riftan loves too see Maxi being jealous cause he knows Maxi really truly loves him. Maxi this princess thought she had won but when she sees you with Riftan all happy she will be stupefied in her face. Richt must heard a rumor why Lienna is alone in a dangerous place in Dristan. This princess is just bitter that a commoner turn her down but at least Riftan always assure Maxi is the only person he will ever love. Riftan loves too see Maxi jealous and KSJ said in a QnA. I believe he loves to see her jealous is because he knows Maxi really loves him as he has insecurities.

Spoiler: Summary of 163 Riftan is teasing Maxi about her jealousy and Maxi is really angry and Riftan can see in her eyes. Riftan is loving her antics and while she is angry, he is cuddling her. Maxi gives in to his sweet gesture. Maxi was curious what he was discussing with the princess. Riftan and the princess were discussing about Dristan and the king wants to give Dristan back it's territories. Dristan wasn't following the peace treaty. Riftan and the king made it seem they were talking about the supplies but indoors was about Dristan and it's territories. Maxi saw how tired he was. Riftan gets in the tub to get a bath and then Maxi goes to and wants to bath him but Riftan but she still wants to bathe him. She bathes him and then Riftan grabs her arm and wants her to go in the bath. Maxi already took a bath, anyways she goes in and Riftan is twirling her hair with his fingertips and inside the bath Maxi feel a sweet pleasure. The next day the coalition army is to embark on their mission and the princess has to be by the side of Riftan because of the supplies. Maxi was watching with a murderous glare at the princess and she came with any excuses to be close to Riftan and Maxi can see this woman has no shame. Maxi is eating her porridge very angrily and wants to go up to the woman and tell her to stay away from her husband but doesn't want to bother him with her petty jealousy. Ruth see Maxi eyes is full of anger and is terrifying. That Ruth needs to mind his own business. The princess was laughing and was playing slapping Riftan forearm. Maxi had enough of watching all this unfold and couldn't pretend anymore, she gets her spoon and feels like to break it and finish the last portion of her porridge angrily. She gets up and goes up to Riftan and that they should be getting off soon. While Maxi is angry, Riftan really teases her and he loves all of her emotions even when she is angry. Maxi tends to melt in Riftan arms with his cute cuddling antics. Maxi was sitting in Riftan laps, she really wanted to have some snu but then Riftan stops and needs to get a bath because he was talking for a while with the princess. Is understandable why Riftan doesn't want to do it in the middle of a war. This princess has no embarrassment and maker flirting with a married man in front of his wife. She is of high society and when you are from that class people can notice what kind person are you and this princess doesn't hate etiquette, class and manners. She is all doing to provoke Maxi for being Croyso daughter and Dristan and Croyso had constant war each other due to territories. Riftan should say something to the woman can't he see she is making her uncomfortable with her antics to a married man. Is like what Maxi said, Riftan doesn't really understand woman. What does this woman think that with her flirting and seduction, you are going to separate Maxi and Riftan and trying to destroy their marriage, it won't work out and Riftan won't fall for you trap, all what she is doing is going to become useless. Between Lienna and Agnes; Agnes way more better than this princess. Maxi go up and don't keep to yourself anymore and go tell her everything is in your mind to the princess and that she needs to leave your man alone.

The princess says something as she was prepared to fight and that she's Riftan wife and she was overstepping. maxi was angry and was about to say something and then Riftan snapped and he wouldn't allow the princess and discourtesy towards his wife. Riftan explains to the princess she is a mage of the RDKs and she has right to give advice any time and the one who is overstepping is Lienna. Riftan was about to say something to the princess but then closed his mouth and went to Maxi. The way Riftan spoke to the princess, wouldn't it the royal family. King Thorben isn't a fool of her sister personal feeling to cloud his judgments. If the princess doesn't have the power to sway the the king to her side and why is Riftan putting up with her? Why is Riftan tolerating the princess behavior when Riftan can have her bythe rear. Riftan explains to Maxi that the region they are is in Dristan and the people who now more the Vesmore castle is who are from Dristan and is why he had the Rdks and Dristan by the side than in the rear. Riftan knows she finds the princess behavior unpleasant and that she should withstand it for three days until they reach Vesmore castle. Even Riftan can't stand her behavior of anyone who wants to ogle her wife. Maxi was going to play the role as and understanding wife. While traveling she saw the princess pretending that she felling from the horse and Riftan helped her. They journey more and Maxi could see vesmore castle closer and see the surroundings wasn't destroyed but it happened inside as there weren't people outside. Maxi prays to have a day rest before war starts. Riftan orders the whole army to have a day rest. Riftan shouts to raise their shields and Maxi saw up it was crows but she realizes they aren't crows but wyvern and are throwing rocks and its raining of rocks and many of these rocks wounded many soldiers, broke into pieces the wagons, tents and the waepons and were scattered to the ground. What does this princess thinks who she is with her seduction that Riftan wall for it, she is so wrong, she has done it so many times and Riftan doesn't fall into her trap. She corrects Maxi but the way she said it sounded rude. She has the nerve say to Maxi that she is only Riftan wife and shouldn't say nothing as treating Maxi as a submissive wife. Princess Maxi can say everything she wants as she is the commander wife and could gives advices, the one who should be quiet and show respect is the princess. In the face of Lienna of Riftan standing up for his wife, he won't allow anyone to disrespect Maxi. Maxi was so satisfied what Riftan said to the princess. This princess still has the nerve to pretend felling from a horse, Riftan isn't dumb and he might know you were pretending and what really are your attentions. Can this woman just give up whatever you do won't work on Riftan, there was Riftan with the army over meeting and Maxi could see through the princess it wasn't about the war and dragon, only she wanted to talk more to Riftan and she saw what the princess attentions are. This princess wants to separate and have turmoil in their marriage but she is so disillusioned with her tactics. Girl move on, Riftan doesn't care about you in any way and he is really annoyed by your attitude, the only person he has in his heart is Maxi. Now that war is approaching, Max prayed wanted her husband and all the soldiers to have rest before the battle commenced. It came faster than they anticipated and wyvern were throwing rocks from the sky. The hardest for the military is many of their weapons became into pieces, is really going to be hard to defeat them.
