You must be very busy. Hehe, I remember Riftan saying in the book, "Do you not want me?" but I think that was omitted from the manhwa. I also felt the book was better for that scene. There's more description of Maxi's extreme embarassment and Riftan's confusion. I felt it more in the book. That's why the manhwa readers need to read the book! Hmm, but most of them are probably under 18. Maybe their first fight will be in the next episode tomorrow? I'm looking forward to their first fight scene. I like how Hebaron reluctancly is involved with Maxi and Riftan's dispute while the Knights are curiously and catiously watching in the background. It reminds me of an episode of Friends. I'm sad to take down the Christmas decor but I'm ready for snowboarding season and Valentine's Day!!

No, not twins. One baby each from 2 different sisters. It would be cute if we ever got twins in the family, but I think all of 3 of my sisters have come to the end of having anymore kids. Yes friend. Super busy with all the changes in my life. It's been overwhelming at times but I'm just moving forward the best I can. Disappearing from the radar helps me to recharge. Haha I think Rif said something like "are you rejecting me?" He was so confused and I think a little hurt and angry but it was hilarious the way KSJ quote it. Poor Rif. And yeah Maxi was definitely more flustered. In the manwha she had more of a chill attitude. Totally ruined it for me. I'm also nervous and anxious but also excited about these upcoming webtoon scenes. We are gonna get their first fight in the infirmary and Maxi's cold shoulder antics. And then, the fight to be the Mage for the knights as they prepare to leave for battle. It's happening! Lol I really hope P does a good job. Especially with Hebrons hilarious teasing and involvement, and Rif getting anxious about Maxi avoiding him Please do it justice! I agree it could be an episode of "Friends". Lol, I can imagine Ross and Rachel fighting while Phoebe, Joey, and Chandler are spurring them on....maybe Monica too but she probably off cleaning with Ludis. I agree that everyone needs to read the novel, when they are old enough of course, so they can get the full experience. I was sad to see my Christmas decor come down as well. I actually wanted to leave it up a bit longer. But that week where everyone gets lost between Christmas day and New Year's Day, my mom insisted on driving an hour to my place to clean everything up. She is the type of person who can't relax unless she is cleaning, so after she finished her home and my sister's homes, mine was next. I thought living an hour away from them would keep it safe but apparently I was wrong. Never underestimate the will of a mother who likes to clean....is what I learned. Snowboarding sounds fun. Never tried it but it kind of worries me when I see it on TV. I'd be so worried about breaking something in my body on that stiff board. I hope you enjoy it! Glad I'm not the only one.

I agree with you that the manhwa is not shown as well as described in the book. Sometimes it is heavily modified. We were surprised several times here too.

The manhwa chapter today was close to the book. I had to laugh at Herbaron, he found the argument between Maxi and Riftan extremely amusing (with popcorn!!), which Maxi certainly didn't. Poor Maxi But at Riftan's last sentence to Maxi, even Herbaron had to swallow...
I just read the latest UOT manhwa too but i dont like how the artist draw Riftan’s facial expression he looks like hes too angry, too fierce and mean to Maxi, not like someone who is angry but still care for someone. But i love the way the artist draw the watching knights. Those spectators are very funny though
Hi Delina, yes, Riftan's facial expressions also seemed very grim to me and not a trace of concern. I'm looking forward to next week, where Maxi will only communicate via Herbaron as a medium.
I personally don't mind how Riftan was portrayed in the latest episode of manhwa. I interpret this as how Maxi sees him in that very moment, in her eyes he's controlling, stiffling and doubting her abilities. He is the person she's trying to help and impress the most and he just undermines her efforts, so she sees him as scary/angry instead of concerned. Just like few episodes ago his concern and wish for her to just be lady of the castle, after she depleted her mana, was presented as chains in her eyes in the manhwa. The thing that bothers me in the manhwa lately is that their bed is ginormous, they're sooo tiny compared to it. The bed looks like it's the size of volleyball court

Some might be disagree with me when I finally conclude that Riftan is a bit "lone wolf". I said a bit coz' a least he's still willing to work with RDK. However, I believe, he's also able to work with himself.
I wish all Angels a wonderful Sunday Hi athena1979 I agree with you that Riftan has a kind of, I would say, difficult "relationship" with Quahel and Sejour. The reason for this is certainly jealousy towards the men because they have already taken care of Maxi. He has no problems with his men except when they get too close to Maxi. In my opinion, Riftan sees every man as a potential rival, so much so that he doesn't seem capable of any real friendships.
I love this scene from the Swan Princess. Roger's is hilarious. They did a good job with the writing. Definitely one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid. Hi friend! I think he makes exceptions for Ruth and the RDK because they are his men and he trusts them. Also, he and Maxi have talked about it....sort of. But that doesn't mean he likes it lol. I see Rif as the guy that everyone, well most everyone, wants to be close to because they think he's cool, but he would rather not so he keeps his distance, which makes him more alluring. It's like he's playing hard to get with them. Believe it or not I knew a person like this. My sister had a best friend who was very chill and cool. Everyone wanted to hang out with him, including my BIL. Whenever they would ask him for his number or set up a day to hang out his literal reply was "meh". Yet they kept trying. It was so strange. I think over the years ppl eventually got tired of trying to invite him, but whenever he showed up at a get together, ppl were always so happy. My sisters and I saw him more like a brother so we were like "whatever ppl just get over it". Idk what it is about playing hard to get but it somehow makes ppl want to be around your more I think...at least for some ppl ha. idk why but the knight who put his hand over his mouth made me laugh so hard. Speaking of laughing. If you all ever get the chance to read UTOT on webnovel, you have to go to the comment section from book 2 in the chapters where Rif is trying to train Maxi and when he is getting mad at her for going off with Kuahel. I was laughing so hard I was wheezing and crying. I really needed that laugh. The comment were hilarious and ppl were so spot on with the GIFs. At least, I thought so. I should also include the chapter where Hebron teases Rif because Maxi is in the sexy tight dress with Sejour and Rif is jealous. That one had a funny comment section too, but these more recent chapters made me laugh more.
Spoiler: Summary of 172 Maxi see all the soldiers forming to prepare for battle. An important nobleman died and the soldiers aren't discussing about the death of the important nobleman, but of them going to battle to fight the resurrected dragon. Ruth didn't want to be in a room with a bunch of man arguing. Ruth explains to Maxi about the resurrected dragon and it will be at fault of the church of Osiria if they don't defeat it. Maxi is worried if this war with the dragon will be longer as the last one, Ruth explains her more it won't as it was like maze and had to scatter mountains to set up a barrier. The monsters had it planned out of resurrecting the dragon the year he was defeated. Maxi thought that was the last battle and peace had finally came, now she gets the realization another war is coming but this time he won't let Riftan going alone. She's has been tending many of the wounded and then sees Agnes coming. Agnes came at the end of the battle as she didn't have any dust her but in the meeting all the men's were arguing. Richt blames Kuahel and the church causing all this. The Southern Balto confederacy and the princess of Dristan had to say something on how they should work on all this. Agnes really admired of Riftan bring peace and order. Maxi wanted to know where Riftan was, Agnes tells her he went to discuss with Kuahel in private. At least this time this battle with the resurrected dragon won't last in years, it could last in months even in couple weeks. Maxi tends to overthink and it isn't his first time slaying the dragon, he knows what he is doing. Last time he went through the dragon breath to defeat the dragon and he putting his life on the line but this time he won't act so rashly, he knows has someone who is willing for him to come back and nows that person really loves him. Riftan talking in private to Kuahel, he is going to give him a warning of not make Maxi doing tasks for him without his permission or he has to face the consequences. I can see Riftan and Kuahel face of their conversation, well for Kuahel it doesn't matter what he says as he knows he does it everything that involves Maxi. The first book has alot of foreshadowing that is happening now in this book.
I read today on FB that UTOT would been better if it had cheating. I get in my intuition of this post the person was trying to say, it was better for Maxi to cheat on Riftan. Yeah its an unpopular opinion but Maxi isn't the type to cheat.
if the op was refering to cheating from either Maxi or Riftan, i would have to disagree. it would be out of character for either of them to have a significant other outside of their relationship. i suppose i could understand if the op was proposing cheating among the side characters, but personally, the story is perfectly fine without an additional dash of adultery
I agree with you. I also often looked at FB months ago; in my opinion, a lot of the comments I read there were very immature. Most of them didn't understand this story at all and were primarily just looking for snu snu and arguments, deceit and revenge. That's how I recognize the immaturity of these girls who post there. That's why I didn't read there anymore.
Spoiler: Summary of 173 Maxi hopes that Riftan isn't warning Kuahel to stay far away, she looks at the barracks from afar. Agnes believes Riftan has formed a somewhat alliance with the church. Agnes is for sure he convinced the Balto southern nobles to support the armistice and he sent his men to persuade the Southern confederacy to side with the church. Agnes is certain the pope asked him for assistance, if the pope had accomplish with the Temple Knights, the opposition would gotten their way, so he had Riftan act instead. Maxi can see by the words of Agnes is that Wedon Royal family had been unaware of his actions until the arrival of the Southern Confederacy army. Maxi is worried how King Reuben received the news. The king seemed to gives this impression that he doubted Riftan loyalty. Maxi is unaware if Agnes recognized her anxious face. Now Riftan is more or less likely to face the armistice supporters as he managed to have both Dristan and Balto Southern Confederacy to join the cause as he solidified the pope trust and now is an object of interest of many who are in power. The most who isn't to be shying away in interest is the Dristan princess. maxi can sense that Agnes is appalled by Lienna behavior and the princess was far from subtle with her romantic overtures. Maxi is astounded that the Dristan princess would so something to get attention at a time like this. Agnes explains to her that she has an astute mind and she has Southern Dristan in her palm by taking nobles as lovers. She takes her bad reputation to approach and extract information from prominent figures around the world, Agnes is assure that Riftan won't fall but Maxi should warn him to stays always at guard. Maxi was wondering why Agnes was telling her all this and something in her was telling her is why Agnes came up to her and have a conversation with her. Maxi can see that Agnes is worried that Dristan might win Riftan over their kingdom and she wondered if she tells Riftan that she is opposed to the Dristan princess and that he would distance himself from the Dristan royal family. Maxi was offered by Agnes attempt of trying to manipulate her but she thanks Agnes advice and will sure to warn Riftan. Maxi goes into a room and she can sleep in a luxury room with a bed, once she goes into the room, she washes herself and goes into bed and sleeps. Maxi woke up the next day, she felt someone arms around her and it was Riftan she was watching sleeping peacefully. Maxi see his face as she see her husband who has been in many bloody wars, and he nows has to go to another journey and when will her men be allowed to live in peace? Maxi was about to get up from bed, then Riftan pulled her back and he wants to stay a little longer in bed with her. Maxi is tempted to stay with him in bed but she needs to tend to patients. She wants him to get more sleep as she needs to but then Riftan interrupt and that he has been through hell the past few months and they are going to make him climb the mountain and has earned a day to be lazing around in the bed with his wife. Maxi with emotion that it has been decided. Maxi knows a campaign through the Lexos mountain was inevitable, she has been prepared and embarking another long journey to fight in an arduous battle filled her with despair. Word was already sent that additional men and supplies would come in a few days. Riftan has his cheek on her puffy hair and both should stay like this. All the tasks were on her mind, she didn't want to leave her husband to tend people she barely knew as he showed his vulnerable side. She has her arm wrapped around him and she would stay with him like that until they leave. The supplies arrived a week later. Ruth predicted rightly, the church had to pay most of the campaign as she heard rumors of the church struggling financially, she wasn't expecting abundant supplies. Maxi goes up too see the procession but then she heard a recognizable voice and it was the Umri twins. Maxi wanted to know what they were doing there and that the Tower sent them and Maxi wonder if it was only tow of you? Nope that plenty came. Maxi sees that Sidina, Annette, Calto and the mages of Urd came. Maxi question him if all came to join the dragon campaign? Maxi now noticing that Agnes was really trying to manipulate her. Why would the king doubt Riftan loyalty when he has done alot of work for him fair and square, the king fear his strength is growing that he doesn't need him anymore or that he will overthrow him, like Riftan cares about being a king. The Dristan princess might have slept with those nobleman to extract information but it didn't work with Riftan and is bitter about it. Anything she tires to do on him it won't work as for Riftan it isn't easy for a woman to tempt him. Riftan just wanted to be bed with Maxi all day as war is almost coming and Maxi really felt emotional yeah because could be any time their last moments together as war is unpredictable and she listen to her hubby wishes, if she just went to heal the patients he would have been upset and Maxi sometimes is okay to be a little greedy for your hubby. Many mages of the Tower came, it seems they are going to help in the dragon campaign. The final battle is almost coming near. Riftan always feel at peace or could sleep better before he goes into battle, Maxi is his save heaven. Maxi wants her hubby to be in Spoiler: Summary of 173 peace . Once the war is over and he doesn't have to go to long campaigns and be back in Anatol for so long with Maxi, he would be living in peace without any worries.

Preparing my heart for the manhwa version because unfortunate and sad moments are approaching . I cant imagine how the artist will illustrate the pain and sufferings that Maxi and Riftan will go through until end of book 1 and how we as the readers will have to take it
