Spoiler: Summary off 177 Maxi saw outside of Vesmore and the whole army is gone and it felt as it was empty. She notices Garrow with his one eye uncovered and Garrow being a big help to his lady. Garrow and Maxi goes to the stable to get their horse, Maxi haven't seen for a while Rem and tells her to forgive her for leaving her alone and not attending her for a while. Rem forgives her and both ride and dismount of their horses and a men recognizes her and she remembers him healing him. Many of the men's are digging under the moat to protect it from the monsters. Maxi wants to help but Annette is doing alot of the hardworking and she should help a mage. She goes to the Mage and uses her mana on the crossbow and he throws the arrow that goes far to the hill. It will kill a wyvern in no time. Maxi is doing alot work but Annette tells her that she needs rest and shouldn't work all day. Maxi with doing so much work, her mind took off not thinking negative of Riftan. She goes to the room rest but then she heard a horn sounding and goes to the watchtower and with horror she sees an army of giant skeltons and she has the magical devices activated. Maxi talents won't go to waste and it was good she stayed behind. Just when Maxi was going to have rest, now a battle is going to commence and with gigantic monsters, these war will take a whole and to defeat those monsters. At any moment Maxi will have to use her forbidden spell. Maxi treat Rem as it was her child, she treats all her pets as her children and Rem really loves her owner because she knows she treats her well.
Spoiler: Summary of 178 Maxi gets a sledgehammer and swung it at the magical device on the watchtower wall. Instantly powerful magic erupted around the tower and the neighboring towers followed suit. Maxi was checking out in the window if the barrier reached to the end, suddenly she heard a roar that almost blasted her feet and then she saw terrifying giants with weapons on them, she saw many soldiers prepping the ballistae on the battlements and were throwing arrows as flock of birds. The arrows stuck many of the monsters ribs and skulls and many undead were retreating. Maxi was sighing with relief but then she heard a horn from the east. It meant more monsters was on the other side, the Easter and northern sections had magical defenses but if it was breached, the eastern gate would stand vulnerable. Maxi goes to stables and mount Rem and raced back go the eastern gate and saw archers climbing the wall, preparing for defense. She was about throw herself into Vesmore defense somebody gripped her shoulder and it was Garrow. Garrow is taking the lead and that Maxi should wait his signal before she can go up. After Garrow made the signal she went up and Maxi asks him if the enemy has breached the shield? Garrow tells her, it seems so as they weren't in time to activate the magical devices, as they were focused on the west, the ghouls reached the eastern wall. She saw a decaying of skeletons coming and where were all these undead coming from? These monsters were resurrected by a necromancer and they are from the ones who were slain in the first dragon campaign. Agnes explains more to Maxi about these monsters could've been revived long before the campaign and including the undead from the east and is an undead army of 6000. Agnes signal the archers to take their position. Maxi seeing the battle unfold, he tells Garrow that they should request for reinforcements? Garrow already send a pigeon carrier but is less likely to happen as minimal forces were left in the nearest city. Then the soldiers were using windlass to raise cauldron on top of the wall summit. Alec says to be careful with those and Maxi with pungent smell was alchemical fire. They tipped the cauldron to the wall into the enemy and were thrown oil and horrific screams were heard in the air. As the ghouls were doused by the oil, and were scaling the wall were in pain and plummeted down to the wall and even some fell in the empty cauldrons. Alec told to step back unless, she wants to get burned. As soon the soldiers retreated, Alec threw a torch on the battlements and many of the ghouls were engulfed by the flames. The flames tore through the field engulfing the skeletons outside of the shield. It was like a hell on earth. The sight was horrific but Maxi couldn't help but had a sigh of relief, as the encircling horde were now retreating to escape the flames. Princess Agnes command to stand down once the monsters were out of range. Garrow wants to know if Maxi is all right, she nodded to him she was okay but she could pass out due to the adrenaline of the battle. Maxi wants to know if the battle is over and Garrow doubt they will attempt another attack right know. Maxi had a selfish wish, but she hoped the monsters would give up on Vesmore and move to another city, but the undead army were stationed 740 meters away. Garrow mutters that they don't seem likely to retreat. The battle has begun but the coalition army has less soldiers and the monsters army's surpassed in and it will be long arduous battle. Maxi tends to have negative thoughts than having negative thoughts make up a plan of how to defeat this army's as they didn't focus to se defense on the east and just the other side and how the monsters went to the other because they saw you guys let your guard down. As these ghouls are already dead, they uses oil and burned them so they can become ashes. Now the ghouls retreated and is a good time to make another plan but if it doesn't work the same tactic could Maxi use anytime her forbidden spell?
He always runs back and forth through the chapters, now here, now there - the little hop. I think the chapters would have been too long if KSj had always named each one.

I KNOW, RIGHT?! I think it's the best voice for Riftan and I'm very selective for Riftan's voice. It's the perfect balance between strength and youth, commanding and engaging, with a blend of masculinity and gentleness. I hope the YT pages keeps that actor and maybe a full animated series? Does anyone have an official source of UTOT rights purchased by a studio? I know @Solcito mentioned that Suji Kim sold the story rights to an animated studio. I miss Solcito! She gave me a very warm welcome to NU when I first joined. To my Anakin Skywalker/Oakie fans, Hayden Christensen finally gets the respect from SW fans AFTER 19 YEARS!!!
Totally my opinion about the comparison with Riftan's voice. Especially because - according to KSj - it should be deep/dark. I don't (yet) know which animation company got the contract for the anime, but I stay tuned. Solcito is very busy and therefore takes more time off. She greets you all very warmly. And me too

In my opinion, he symbolizes all of us, there're always 2 sides, positive and negative in each of us. Whether we will follow the positive or the negative side, is totally depends on us!! Everything is our own choice. Anakin decides to follow the negative or the dark side. No one is able to help him, except himself!! Even Obiwan and Padme aren't able to help him. Hey y’all!! Long time no see. I agree with y’all about The male voice actor for Riftan. Dark, deep and sexy. Rif’s voice to me is a mix between Henry cavill playing Geralt of Rivia, Jensen ackles, Brandon Sklenar in 1923 Yellowstone. I admit I’m a picky person hahah so I don’t think anyone will be good enough, but That’s a me problem the voice actor was really spot on. Anakin skywalker, The chosen one. The greatest tragedy known to all. His fall from grace was rooted in his fears and the torment of losing his loved ones. I would’ve done the same if I were in Ani’s place. He was indeed manipulated by the chancellor but that was just the push he needed to cross to the dark side. I concur, we are all capable to be morally grey (borderline dark) characters in our own stories.
Spoiler: Summary of 179 Maxi in despair tried to gauge the monster army. The monsters were trying to breach then turned to ashes and there was still a sizeable skeletons with their arms on. Agnes commands her group to prepare for battle. As the army was preparing to form, Maxi asks Alec, if there's more flaming oil? They have used all of the oil so the Undaim mage are doing more but it takes half a day to be ready. Maxi gazes on the guard house and the mages are working on the oil for the soldiers and then gazes at the the battlement and the seniors mage still want to fight but others must have drained their mana. Maxi commands the mages with low mana should help make oil as the process will go faster. Alec questions her about the wall. Having mages without mana will be no use, it is better to have them create elixirs. She directed all the mages to the guardhousr and the remaining mages to focus on their barriers. Maxi goes to the watchtower and see that the magical device could only withstand one more day. Maxi descends from the stairs and asks about the Stones and tje magical stones can withstand for one week They need to prepare first. Alec is going to stay and Maxi should work on them as she might be in low mana for defending the wall the whole night. Maxi believes she is fine as he work more faster but he tells her to go as a drained mage will get in the way. Then she goes to the workroom in the guardhouse and works on them. While she was working on the magical stones, suddenly a noise shock the building. She was not the only alarmed even the others mages were gazing in confusión. The barrier could've ben breached and more noises caused the walls to shudder. Maxi believes something awful must have happened so she goes outside to see and a Boulder soars to the walls and crushes into the city outskirts. One of the rock was thrown into a a roof of a building. Maxi was horrified watching the scene, so she got into her senses. There wasn't any time to spare so she goes up the ramparts. She saw the giants throwing rocks with their skeletal arms and those projectiles were smashed in a barrier, she had to react fast and summoned a shield. She shouts to everyone get inside the shield. The soldiers were panicking as they were rushing to get into the shield. Maxi was being pressed and suffocated by the soldiers and she couldn't even pushed them away. Maxi was fighting her breath until Garrow elbowed his thought the men's so he could get to her, Garrow shoved the soldiers inside and they need to keep it together or are they tending to crush to death at Maxi? With Garrow ferocity that they need to maintain in their positions and he will throw anyone personally if they dare th break the rank of the wall. With his threat many soldiers calmed down but coward when more boulders were felling. Garrow is commanding what to do at the army. Maxi was extending her shields and others mages were following suit. They couldn't defend the city with just 10 mages as many boulders were being smashed into the battlements, castle towers and soldiers were caught in the barrage that many felled from the walls. Maxi believes she was trapped in a nightmare. Maxi was gathering her mana but she would deplete but there was onslaught in the field, if she doesn't do anything more people would be dying. Maxi believes they are going to lose . She closed her eyes of resignation but suddenly she sees a new barrier and it was deflecting the rocks as comets. Calto apologizes for the delay but it is been a while he summoned a barrier of that but it took more longer than he expected. The barrier will only last for one day so they need to rest, they can strategize their defenses. Maxi almost depleted her mana but Garrow carries her so she can eat and have rest. At first she just wants to sleep but Garrow she needs to eat to restore her energy before she can go to sleep. She does have rest and slept all day. Annette comes to her and explains to her what happened in the battlefield and that 30 soldiers died. Maxi know it was a heavy flow of many soldiers dying but Annette tells her that Calto wants to see her. Calto tells her that they don't any chance in winning in Vesmore. Calto shows her the rune she created. Maxi is having more confident thoughts, she believes if Calto didn't put up the barrier they still would've win, in the past if someone came and did it, her negative thoughts would come first. Her leadership as a mage is getting better and she was about be crushed by those soldiers who she was trying to save their life. Garrow learned from the best and knew how to calm the situation down. But these soldiers tend to panick, have fear and cowardice, if Riftan was here he known what to do to settle down the situation. Now the time has come for Maxi to use her Golem rune.
This spoiler isn't mine Maxi hopes that Riftan isn't warning Kuahel to stay far away as she gazes at the barracks from a distance. Agnes believes that Riftan has formed a sort of alliance with the church. Agnes is certain that he convinced the southern nobles of Balto to support the armistice and sent his men to persuade the Southern Confederacy to side with the church. According to Agnes, the pope requested his assistance, knowing that the Temple Knights wouldn't be able to achieve their goals, so he turned to Riftan instead. Maxi realizes from Agnes' words that the Wedon Royal family was unaware of Riftan's actions until the Southern Confederacy army arrived. Maxi is concerned about how King Reuben received the news, as he seemed to doubt Riftan's loyalty. Maxi is unsure if Agnes noticed her anxious expression. Now, Riftan is more likely to face the supporters of the armistice, having successfully enlisted both Dristan and Balto's Southern Confederacy, thereby solidifying the pope's trust and attracting the attention of powerful figures. One such person is the Dristan princess, who is clearly interested in Riftan and not subtle about her romantic advances. Maxi is astonished that the princess would seek attention at such a crucial time. Agnes explains that the princess is shrewd and uses her reputation to approach and gather information from influential individuals worldwide by engaging in relationships with nobles. Agnes is confident that Riftan won't be swayed, but advises Maxi to always remain vigilant and warn him. Maxi wonders why Agnes is sharing all this information with her and suspects that Agnes approached her for a reason. Maxi can perceive Agnes' concern that Dristan might win Riftan over their kingdom, and she contemplates informing Riftan of her opposition to the Dristan princess in order to distance him from the Dristan royal family. Agnes attempts to manipulate Maxi, but she graciously thanks her for the advice and assures her that she will warn Riftan. Maxi enters a room where she can sleep in luxury, with a comfortable bed. After washing up, she lies down and falls asleep. The next morning, Maxi wakes up to find Riftan's arms around her, watching him sleep peacefully. Maxi gazes at her husband's face, a man who has experienced countless bloody wars and is now embarking on yet another journey. She wonders when her husband and his men will be allowed to live in peace. As she starts to get up from bed, Riftan pulls her back, expressing his desire to stay a little longer in bed with her. Maxi is tempted to stay, but she knows she must tend to the patients. However, Riftan insists that after enduring hell for the past few months, he deserves a day of laziness with his wife. Overwhelmed with emotion, Maxi agrees. She knows that a campaign through the Lexos mountain is inevitable and feels a sense of despair. She had already sent word that additional men and supplies would arrive in a few days. With Riftan's cheek against her puffy hair, they decide to stay like that. Despite the tasks weighing on her mind, Maxi doesn't want to leave her husband to tend to people she barely knows, particularly when he has shown his vulnerable side. With her arm wrapped around him, she promises to stay by his side until they leave. The supplies arrive a week later, and Maxi goes to witness the procession. However, she is surprised to hear a familiar voice—it's the Umri twins. Maxi wonders why they are there and if they were sent by the Tower. To her surprise, they inform her that many others from the Tower, including Sidina, Annette, Calto, and the mages of Urd, have also come. Maxi questions if they have all joined the dragon campaign. Maxi begins to realize that Agnes was truly attempting to manipulate her. She wonders why the king would doubt Riftan's loyalty when he has done so much for him. Perhaps the king fears that Riftan's strength is growing to the point where he no longer needs him or that he might overthrow him. However, Riftan isn't concerned about becoming a king. Regarding the Dristan princess, Maxi deduces that her attempts to extract information through seduction failed with Riftan, leaving her bitter. It's clear that anything she tries won't work on Riftan, as he isn't easily tempted by women. Maxi is touched that Riftan just wants to spend time in bed with her, considering that war is imminent. She understands that these moments could be their last together, as war is unpredictable. She listens to her husband's wishes, knowing it's okay to be a little selfish for the sake of their relationship. Many mages from the Tower have joined, indicating their assistance in the dragon campaign. The final battle draws near. Riftan always finds peace and sleeps better when he is with Maxi, as she is his safe haven. Maxi wants nothing more than for her husband to find peace. Once the war is over and Riftan no longer has to embark on long campaigns, Maxi envisions a peaceful life for both of them in Anatol, free from worries and conflict
Hello friend, I listened to the voices on YouTube and compared them fairly. I also had a favorite voice in mind, btw. what it should sound like, the way I understood it from the novel. In my opinion, the one from the short anime from "Under the Oak Tree Archives YT channel" fits best, second, I would say, Henry Cavill's voice. Both nice and deep and dark... I agree with you, you interpreted that very good.
Thanks Marsea! Maxi staying behind in Vesmore castle and not following Riftan to Lexos mountains doesnt make her be any safer. Undeads and monsters attack on Vesmore castle is no joke. But at least she is behind the castle walls and didnt have to suffer the difficult journey to Lexos with harsh weather and monsters ambush risks in the difficult mountain terrain route. Also at least there are Agnes and her army, Calto, Annette, Sidina, Umli brothers and other mages from World Tower, Garrow and Gabel staying behind with her and protect the castle together. Teamwork is great between them.
I agree with you friend. Although I’m really frustrated and a bit upset that Henry Cavill will not be in The Witcher anymore. It is said that it was because the show runners wanted to deviate from the source material and Cavill didn’t want to (seeing as he is a major fan of it) so he quit I think & they replaced him with Liam Hemsworth. After 3 seasons, they just had to ruin it No more sexy dark and handsome Geralt of Rivia played by Cavill
Spoiler: Summary of 180 Maxi notices the rune that Calto has is the one she destroyed and how did he had it in his hands. Calto explains to her the one the Tower gave to her is the copied version and the Tower had the original one. The pope and the Tower made a deal and forbidden magic won't be forbidden as the church might allow magic and won't bee seem as a sin. Maxi knows her rune can defeat those monsters but if she uses the Orthodox church could see her a herectic. The rune could be used without any magical device and it could been changed. Maxi is going to work on the Golem rune but she needs help by other mages. Calto allow the Umri mages to help and the other mages who aren't good to withstand a shield for a while and the other mages need to stay to help in the battlefield. Calto let's work in the workroom as is empty. She goes up to the workroom and start working on the rune with their parchment paper. While of them working on the runes, Annette comes and see her paper and admires her excepcionality on magical theory. Annette comes to help her and Maxi is happy her savior came. All of them are concentrating on making the rune even Maxi suddenly she hears a blast and that the enemy assault has resumed. Now Maxi will be using her forbidden rune and with as her rune won't be considered anymore forbidden she won't get in trouble by the Tower. It could be also the same for Ruth he used a forbidden spell on Riftan years ago and the church won't deem magic as a sin. If the Orthodox church were to gain power, she would seen as a heretic, even she uses her rune and the church knows she saved many lives, they wouldn't care as the church tend to be corrupted. Knowing Riftan he would fight with tooth and nails against it. Her rune can fight against those monsters as golems are giants so is going to be giants vs giants. Now the enemy resume their assault, Maxi don't rush it, concentrate and take your time to make your rune so you can defeat those monsters without any fail. While reading this chapter sometimes is hard to picture in my mind, how are they doing the rune and what looks like. I can't have the grasp of the image on my mind.
