It's nice to know that Diane had nothing to do with Neris' bullying. Maybe if she was still around in the past life, she would have defended Neris. I don't see her being a bystander and ignoring the bullying.

The seasons change and winter is approaching,along with a national holiday that will allow the children to return home for for a week.After many refusals,Neris finally agreed to go to Diane's home to the festivities.Diane is informing her of how they always receive lots of guests for the festivities,the decorations they use at home and is worried she offended neris by telling her to borrow her dresses since Neris said she doesn't have money to buy another dress and only have one appropriate to the event.Diane says that Neris is very beautiful so she really wants to dress her in beautiful clothes too.Neris is confused because she never met anyone like Diane that is so selfless and feels happy by dressing someone up when most nobles are self centered.She keeps being bothered because she can't remember Diane,so she wonders if she changed departments in the past or if something happened in the present.Diane doesn't seem the bully type.Diane asks if she has a favorite food or decoration so she can inform home to which neris says she can sleep or eat anything.In the past,she was feed nasty and unthinkable things by Megara in the academy,and once she became Princess,Abelus ordered her to sleep in a pigsty.She wonder what kind of face Diane would make if she knew this.

On the road,Diane is pointing to her home and Neris is amazed at how big and magnificent it is.She also tranquilizes Diane when she is worried that is vulgar to brag about her home when her family is relatively new,they only lived in this land for 50 years.

Diane tells her she can't wait to show her dance moves to Heather Rayling and show how the things she taught her were wrong.She tells Neris,Heather is the daughter of Merchant,Angelo Rayling that is close to her family and she always picks fights with Diane.Neris is surprised not only because a commoner is picking fights with a Count's daughter,but because in the past,she recruited Angelo and his merchant guild to work to Elandria.He was a evil and greedy man and really loved his daugther,offering her to be a maid for one of the elandria daughters in hope she would find a noble to marry.Heather was a cute girl who seemed inoccent but she did many things to make life difficult to Neris by Valentin orders,even though she was Neris personal maid.If she hadn't left to marry a low rank noble,Neris would suffer under her as a crown princess too.Betty,Diane's maid from when they met Neris for the first time,says Diane is being unfair to Heather and that if she didn't had the context of what happened,she would agree with Diane,but everybody saw and heard the wooden horse incident.(I want to know what it was...)Diane is annoyed that Betty isn't taking her side and just then they hear sounds of horses and they see Diane's brother outside.(The novel illustration doesn't really do it to me,but Joyce in the webtoon is so fineeee)

Joyce McKinnon already graduated from the academy and is an adult,but he really cares for his baby sister and the way he keeps calling her for cute names shows it.Seeing Diane embarrassed by being treated this way,Neris can guess she grew up very beloved.His brother notices Diane keeps gazing at her friend and when Neris greets him perfectly he is surprised because there wasn't one letter from Diane that didn't mention how Neris was amazing in everything and he thought she was exaggerating but now he knows it's true and wonders if neris is approaching Diane for shady reasons.The moment Neris saw Joyce,she was reminded of something.In the past,Joyce McKinnon reported Angelo Rayling for shady reasons and the elandria exiled Joyce from the country,but the McKinnon household remained.What is more strange is that she remembered Joyce as collateral relative,not a direct family member and the heir for the count,and from what Diane said,she has no other siblings.Diane had told her before her father has two brothers and one sister and that because of this she has many older cousins and is the youngest in the family.

When they enter the manor gates,Diane tells him to stop glaring at her friend and Neris thinks this wary look suits his solemn and cold face compared to the warm eyes he shows Diane.The servants of the manor like maids,butler and chef all hug Diane and make a fuss over her.Once they enter the house,they meet some of Diane's older cousins and when Diane greets them elegantly and politely they only laugh and Neris is annoyed that they don't use polite language to Diane even though there is a clear difference of collateral and direct relatives.

Diane's sixteen years old female cousin,Muriel,asks if Neris is her maid.Neris only laughs because this type of mischievous is only cute but Diane is angry because everyone knows Diane is bringing a friend from the academy home.Before she left to the academy,Count McKinnon told Diane they should always trust family because other nobles look down on their history.Once Diane went to the academy,she saw it was true and decided to be nicer to her family,but Muriel is already picking fight again even though she had trouble convincing Neris to come with her and that no one would look down on her.But Diane eyes bright once Neris introduces her as Diane's friend.(NERIS SAID THEY ARE FRIENDS!!!)Muriel says the famous classes of the academy must not be all that since Neris can't greet the aristocracy properly and Neris legitimately asks which aristocracy she is talking about since the only ones there are Joyce and Diane.Which is true,she doesn't need to be overly polite to collateral descendants and even quotes the rules of some noble manual.That's one of the reasons for Riannon inferiority complex.While her grandfather is alive,she is a noble,but once her uncle gets the title,she and her father won't be direct descendants anymore and thus,the law says they are not aristocracy anymore and of the same status as neris.

Muriel is so angry she can barely speak and her mid twenty brother laughs and says she picked a fight with someone smart because she was mean and got served.He introduced himself as Nuallan and welcome Neris to McKinnon household.The fact that Nuallan is a name that means "noble" and is too much to the son of the first brother of a count,and the fact he welcomed Neris as if it was HIS house even though he doesn't live there,wasn't ignore by Neris.Joyce is thankful this didn't scalate into a bigger argument.(In my country,Joyce is a woman's name so it's kinda weird to me to read about him)Just then,Neris see a woman called Joanne Maurier that right now is a employee of Angelo Rayling,but in the future,she would become the leader of a guild that was destroyed by Angelo Rayling and Neris.This left our fl wondering how so many people from her past reunited into Diane's family home at the same time.

After taking a bath,Neris goes back to her bedroom to find it full of dresses.Diane tells her not to be angry and she would throw them away anyway since they don't fit her anymore,but Neris is not angry since she figured Diane would do something like this.Diane is still a child so she yearn for shopping and beautiful things,but Neris already used all type of style in her real past so she is not interested.Diane was very excited when she talked about the bright dresses and how they would look good on Neris,but in the end,Neris chose a dark dress with a purple jewel saying it would look better on her.Diane is disappointed she chose such a simple dress and asks why she thinks that.In the past,she tried many styles as a daugther of elandria and once she became royalty,she was dressed in a way that fitted the imperial family majesty,not her appearance.

In the end,Diane and her maid saw she was right as the dark dress looked great on her,and other light dresses looked good on her,but not as much as the one she chose.(From grown up Neris illustrations it seems she will really keep up with dark colors style,but I'm glad it's not for a reason like it's to hide herself ot luxury items don't suit her,it's just because a mature look suits the elegant Neris better)

They hear a knock in the door and asks who is it,but the person enters without asking if it's ok.Its Muriel and Heather.Diane greets Heather coldly and Heather's acts shy.She notices that neris is wearing a dress too big for her and notices it's from diane,so she disdains of neris in her mind,but Muriel is the one who says that a smart girl like Neris can pay her academy tuition but needs to borrow dresses.Then Neris asks Muriel if the reason she doesn't attend the academy is so she can afford dresses.(QUEEN OF BURN)

Muriel is very embarrassed as neris looks at her with pity and Diane laughs.She keeps saying she could go if she wanted and Heather takes her away.Diane wonders why Muriel reacted that way since she always said to Diane she didn't envied the fact she attended the academy.When Diane says she didn't brag about it first,Neris says Muriel probably couldn't pay the tuition and is jealous that they can.When asked,Betty tells them that Muriel and Nuallan father is in charge of the medicinal herbs department and it was in red for many years and he always came to the McKinnon Manor asking for loans.Neris did though Muriel was wearing clothes of an inferior material and semi jewels,so now it makes sense.Diane is very surprised and feels enlightened when Neris says that when people say they are not jealous of things you didn't even bring up first,it's because they are.(I think I forgot to explain in the beggining,but all the directed descendants of nobles are obligated to attend the academy,while children of knights like Neris and children of second sons like Riannon,can attend if they wish and if they can pay for it)

Betty was watching everything and she can't blame neris for reacting that way,since Muriel started,but she feels sorry for Heather that will have to deal with Muriel and it's too good to react.When Diane says Heather isn't a good person,she feels happy when Neris agrees with her and says she trusts Diane's eyes.

The next day,there's a lake party that Diane and Neris can attend.(It's tradition that children only participate in official events when they are over 15)Neris and Diane are very beautiful and Neris is attracting lot of attention an people think she is from a prestigious family,but Muriel starts talking loudly about her origins and how she borrowed Diane's clothes to attend the party.She trusts in Heather's sense quite a bit so she stops shouting when she says people are looking.Neris figured out what happened when people smiled less seeing her and eyes her clothes.Angelo Rayling is a foreigner who came to win his life in the Vista empire,he asked Heather about Neris in case she was someone important since he wants to make powerful connections.Joyce and Nuallan go chat with them a bit and Nuallan starts saying they were worried about sending Diane to the academy because of her health.They invited the girls to dance.Diane went with Nuallan and Joyce with Neris.Neris had met the count couple the day before and they really liked her and have been protecting her identity when people asked about her in the party,but the thing is that they are not the count couple she should have met ten years later,so she already have a hunch of what happened.She chats about some things with Joyce and says that he looks like Diane in the sense that he does anything for the people he care about,without thinking it's something big,but he should be more wary of the people around him.When he asks what she's talking about she says that Muriel always is rude to Diane as she pleases and he shouldn't think it's doesn't hurt Diane.Joyce tries to pass it off as girls being girls but just then,they see that Diane fell while dancing.

Joyce is angry at Nuallan for not taking better care of her when he apologizes for not holding her properly and Diane confirms she fell by accident.Muriel aproaches them and subtle mocks Diane pretending to be worried and Joyce tells her off,but Diane already feels ashamed and worried.(One thing I really like in this story is that Diane being limp is not a big deal.There are mentions of it,of children being curious and her relatives subtly taking about it,but its not her whole personality or arc.You actually forget that she has this condition if it isn't addressed and she is show in the story as just a normal kid)

Heather says Diane should wait for a slower dance and sit a little and ehen she leaves with Neris,she invites herself saying she wants to hear about the academy.Neris leaves for the restroom and Diane is alone with Heather.

Diane ignores Heather that says the manor was lonely without her revealing she was here for two weeks.She asks if Diane made any friends at the academy and when Diane says she already met her best friend Neris,Heather says that even though Neris is smart,when the count couple sent Diane to the academy,they probably wanted her to make friends of a better pedigree and Diane gets angry.Some noblewomen see Heather looking sad and aks what happened and when Heather explains,they say to Diane that Heather is right and worried about her,and that Diane should be careful making friends.(Piss off,ladies!Do you have any idea who this knight daugther will be in the future?You're all gonna bow in her presence)

Diane defends Neris and gets nervous when she arrives because she don't want her friend to hear bad things.Neris greets the ladies in a way that is better than most adults and they are surprised because they heard she is a poor girl that is leeching off Diane.Aftwr they leave,Neris express worry from Diane falling and Heather asks them if Diane attends when dance classes at the academy.Diane is angry because Heather was always like this,saying hurtful things and then acting sad and pitiful once adults arrived,so Diane always looked like the villain.Heather says that Neris seems smart and that Diane praised her for and when Neris asks if she is a friend of Muriel since they are always together,Heather is humble and says that with her status she wouldn't dare to say they are friends.Neris says that it seems she is aware of her own status and that she is smart too.Neris is flustered and blushes but then manages to cry and apologize if she offended Neris.

Her father arrives and asks what happened and Heather "tries" to pass it as nothing but Neris says she complimented Heather but she started crying and wonders if there is something in her eye.People who heard Heather before saying it was nothing and saw her smiling earlier,leave thinking it's really nothing.Heather is annoyed because if the girls tried to defend themselves they would look bad,but it turned out like this.

Angelo Rayling insists on the subject and the count couple arrives and some people aproach too.They think the girls fought and are throwing dirty looks at Diane since there is an imbalance between a fight with a commoner and a noble.(I'm sorry,why you guys chose to ignore social class when the good guys are the victim?)Neris in angry in Diane's behalf.(You like her)

Diane says the same thing as Neris because she trusts her friend's plan.Neris mentions to them that she Dianne fell while dancing with Nuallan and that they get worried about Diane and decided to enter.Neris dont forgot to mention to them that Diane didn't cry when she fell since she is very mature.

Heather can't even say anything because it would go against her image as a sweet girl who can't fight back and Neris turned her game against her so now no one thinks anything happened between the girls.(Neris is a queen for adressing a grown woman crying over anything,so many annoying villainesses that use tears as a weapon but I think it's so strange how people in those novel don't think it's not dignified to cry in public for reasons like being offended.Use your words to express yourself like an adult,not your tears like a child)

Neris left saying to her they would see each other better later.Once everybody leaves,Heather shows her real face to her father and he advises her to control her expression since the only reason she is somewhat welcomed in the social circles is because of the good image she built in the McKinnon family.Joanne Maurier was watching the whole thing from the sidelines.

(A little info,but in the old times,merchants were essentially commoners so even though some were very rich they would have been looked down by society.We can see examples of this in the og tale of Beauty and the Beast,and also in the character Caroline Bingley of "pride and prejudice".Caroline was the sister of a wealthy merchant,so even though Elizabeth Bennet was poor,she would have be seem as a more proper match to Mr Darcy compared to a commoner like Caroline.This was subtle addressed close to the end of the novel:"He is a gentleman, I am a gentleman's daughter. So far we are equal.")

Back inside,Diane and Neris are drinking cocoa and talking about what happens.When Diane asks why Heathet would do this,Neris says she probably wanted Neris to look like a villainess and be trow out of the manor.The things about Heather is that she distorts the meaning of words so it will benefit her,so the way to win is stop her from saying anything at all.Diane agrees,but is worried that Heather will spread rumors about them.Neris asks if this happened before and Diane makes a very sad face.(MY BABYYYY)

Diane tells Neris that last year,she received a beautiful toy wooden horse It was very detailed and had jewels on it,so it was a lovely decoration and the envy of all.But shortly after,the horse was found broken.Muriel,Heather and a maid were the only ones who went to the room were the gifts were,but Muriel and Heather advocated for each other and the maid was fired.But Diane thought it was strange that the maid who was fired was the same one who found the broken horse.If she broke,she could just say it instead of lying she found this way.And there was too,that Heather interrupted the maid when she tried to say something.Diane was suspicious of Heather and rumors started to spread that Diane was jealous of her.Her parents sat Diane down and asked why she is doing this and Muriel was angry saying if she thinks she is guilty too since she was with Heather.Heather said that it was ok and that it was because lady Diane is kind and young.Everybody was satisfied with her mature answer,but Diane saw her sneering at her like she does sometimes.Now Diane knows the gaze of contempt Heather holds.Diane was angry and couldn't properly express herself because she was a child,so she was seem as a stubborn girl and branded as the villainess of this story.The McKinnon couple sent a valuable gift to apologize to Heather.

This incident made Diane doubt herself if she was really just jealous and Neris can read it in her face and says she wasn't wrong and that she trusts her judgment,what made Diane very emotive.Neris reminds her of what she said the day before about jealousy.There were many things that Diane would be suspicious of Heather,so why did it say jealousy?Between a commoner who is praised for being mature,but needs to flatter the higher powers and a beloved noble who can gets her hand in anything,who is the one that is really jealous?Neris believes Heather was really the one who spread the rumor and that she is jelaous of Diane,this again makes Diane surprised because she never saw it this way.Diane wonders if Muriel was on it and when Neris agree with Diane that Muriel isn't very smart,Diane laughs loudly.Neris goes blank for a moment in the warm atmosphere of the room.(Friendship,friendship...)

Neris tell her that it isn't impossible that they did it together,but she doesn't think Muriel is that good of a liar.She thinks perhaps Heather had hidden the broken wooden horse among other gifts so Muriel wouldn't see it.Diane face goes cold because Muriel only said she didn't saw the horse when she entered the room and they went to the room "almost" at the same time.Seeing her expression,Neris tells her that her parents love Diane the most and if she explains she doesn't really feel comfortable around Heather,they would stop inviting her.Diane is worried because her parents are close to Angelo and Heather and Muriel are good friends.But It's about other people that neris is worried,people who can cause real damage

Later that night,the adults will have a dinner and since Neris and Diane haven't debuted,they will stayvin the children playroom.Neris is watching the ballroom from the stairs when Nuallan arrives asking if she wants him to hold her above so she can see it better.They chat a little and Neris praises him saying he is a very kind person to which he happily says he is specially kind to children,especially Diane because of her leg condition.Neris tells him Diane can move along well even with her leg but Nuallan says they since her leg became like this after a fever she had when she was a baby,her family is aways worried she will get hurt and have no one to help her and he reminds Neris of the dance incident.(Dude,you made a child fall)Also,it seems one of Diane's hand is more slow too but it's not very noticeable.

He also says that because Diane grew so cherished sometimes she gets into fights with important guests like the Raylings(lol)This gets Neris to know that his father,Sivna works with Angelo Rayling in the medicine department,with Angelo providing herbs.Diane also had told Neris that Nuallan works alongside his own father.Nuallan says is lucky that Diane made a mature friend like her and Neris asks if Diane is going somewhere.Nuallan pretends to be worried about revealing it and Neris pretends to be innocent and naive,and Nuallan tells her there is a doctor overseas that could cure Diane.Neris knows he is saying it in hope that she will help convince Diane.Neris is disgusted to how Nuallan ressembles Nelruision in the sense they always pretended to be nice and say the right things to get other to pity them or do what they want.

She then reminds that Joyce said when they arrived that Sivna had introduced them to a doctor called Lemartre.Lemartre is foreign word to "quack",so Neris knows there's no way this is a real name of a doctor.Also,when she was princess she spent much time with the fussy lady Mariah,the sister of the emperor.Since the imperial family is known for their strong composition,the fragile princess that had a fever and became limo because of it was hidden from society and spent her whole life inside.From her,Neris learned that there was never a foreign doctor that could heal her and that the empire where they live is the most advanced in medicine.If Sivna and Angelo work together,Angelo was probably the one who introduced the "doctor".

She thought hard and finally reminds what Joyce accused Angelo from:harming one of his family members.So her conclusion is that be it from brokenheart or giving all the money to this doctor,Diane and Joyce parents relinquished their title and Diane either died or was harmed in foreign land.This explains why the there was different count when she was grown.She is appaled of how they are bold to steal from the people that treat them with so much affection.

Neris put a hand in her heart that she thought it was completely frozen,but she still can feel a heartbeat.Now she knows why she can't remember Diane.They only studied one semester together,what means she wasn't there when the bullying started.There's no reason for her to hate Diane and Nerid doesn't know what to do with this information...

Joanne sees Neris staring at her in the warehouse and asks if she is lost.She had heard her boss,Angelo Rayling,saying how she is domineering and ill tempered child when Neris tells her she saw one of Angelo's goods being delivered to the manor,only to be hidden in a garbage and delivered to the manor once again.Neris said this in a very calm voice as if she was suggesting a stroll,but Joanne heart nearly stop.Joanne has five younger siblings to raise and she is a very capable worker,so Angelo promoted her but also gave her all kind of shady works to do.Joanne asks if nerid told this to someone and she denies,and asks if she will do something to her.Joanne briefly thinks about this but reproaches herself.She says she couldn't do it and Neris says that its interesting how she stole the products they sold,just to deliver it again and receive twice for the same item,but she draws the line in harming children.

She apologizes to Neris and says she will pay the price of her crime.She's a little relieved someone found out actually.Neris smiles with her eyes.In the past,she though Angelo only wanted to destroy Joanne because she was a rising head of guild,but now that she has context,Angelo probably was afraid she would reveal any dirty on him.People like him and duke elandria were not trustworthy so they always had to work with threatens and preying on the weak,but Neris knows Joanne is trustworthy and wants to made a deal with her.

She tells Joanne that there's someone also that should pay the price and that if Joanne was a truly shady person she wouldn't be so fast to assume her fair of blame or look like they want to die everyday.Joanne is so surprised because most low ranking ladies always had a little of malice when looking at someone low like her but neris is not like them in this or manners and it seems like she really sees that Joanne lost her happiness while working im Rayling.Joanne says adults reach points of no return and Neris says it's not true.(fr,she literally returned)

When Joanne asks why she is helping her,Neris says they can help each other and Joanne thought she wanted to do something with Heather,but Nerid says she has her eyes on someone bigger.Joanne noticed that no one was going in the warehouse and that it was probably neris doing,so she had something she wanted to hear and Joanne had hunch of what it was.She bowed down and whispered something to Neris.Nerid thanked her and said the manor isn't safe to her anymore.Neris told her to go the laundry room and one of her people(she paid an elderly maid)would tell her next steps

Neris remained in the warehouse and heard footsteps behind her.It was Heather wearing a ball dress and surrended by a not insignificant number of boxes of her father's guild.She asks angrily if this is what Neris wanted and says that her father is not a fool and whatever Joanne says she probably doesn't have proof and she so the count couple won't believe her.She tells her that here she is nothing without the silly Diane.She expects Neris to be flustered being caught but Neris only smiles and says that meanwhile,Heather is nothing even with Diane here,which makes her angrily and threatening says to Neris that she will never return here again.Neris tells her she is free to think so,but that it's up to her and calls Heather "poor thing".Heather was creeped out because she thought of Neris as nothing,but her eyes are not of a normal child.Her father betrayed many people and she saw many miserable and desperate eyes,but never like Neris.

The information Joanne gave her was better than Neris expected.Neris actually wanted Heather to follow her,so she walked by her bedroom and told the servants to leave the warehouse in a loud voice.Muriel was acting as of this house would be hers soon and Neris hoped that by getting on the nerves,they would be reckless and tell their parents to fasten the plan.And it was what Heather intended to do after threatening Neris and Joanne and receiving a courtesy by Neris,that is just legitimately mocking her status.This made Heathet very angry and she is already aware she can't win from Neris with only words.(they are all chess pieces in Neris hand♡)

There's the last feast of the holiday and the adults are celebrating together.People are taking about how the Count is about to invest in a diamond mine in a foreign country.The mine was introduced by Angelo and now I will introduce their plan.Sivna,Nuallan and Angelo work together in the medicine department and they "found" a doctor that could heal Diane,but he won't leave his country to a house call,so what they can do is send Diane.But by law,Diane can't stop attending the academy for a health reason that doesn't highly affect her daily life,so the only way that she would be able to leave is becoming a non aristocrat and this will be able to happen if her parents give up the title to a relative and become collateral descendants.Diane is the most important person to Joyce since she was born and became attached to the cold Joyce who wasn't very popular and expressive.He is willing to do anything to her.Since they will lose power over assets and property,once the family leaves they will have to take much money and win their life,so Angelo introduced them to a diamond mine worthing being invested on.(SCAM)They will give the title to Sivna that isn't especially bright but is kind so many people will be willing to help.Nuallan will be a good heir and even the rude Muriel would probably become more calm after being a real lady.Nuallan and Sivna are very aware of this plan and pretend to not care and make sure their family thinks well,but Diane is completely unaware that her brother and parents are planning to do this for her.Count McKinnon gives a speech and people are stunned because it's customary to honor the guests before family members,but he is singing high praises of his younger brother and people turn to Angelo wondering what this is about since they are close.Nuallan tells Joyce he will check on Diane and when Joyce tries to go together,Angelo interrupts him.

After his grandfather died and Nuallan and his family becane non aristocrats,he started resenting the law and wanted to change things so he could get his privileges back.Once Angelo started working with his father,his vague plans started getting form.The Count family was too nice and weak to their family members.Diane was the most perceptive but she was young so it was easy for other to ignore her.Muriel and Heather were assigned with the role of making Diane feel hatred for her condition and want to leave,and Nuallan would make sure the count family see that diane can't be left alone.After Heather told him about Neris,they decided to hasten the plan.He found Diane spying in the stairs and offered to hold her so she can see the ballroom better.While Diane was getting enchanted by the atmosphere,her arms holding him loosed and he started to loose his grip so she would fall from the second to the first floor.He would blame Neris for it and says she ran away scared and if Diane tried to accuse her cousin,Heather would come forward with her ability to fake rumors and make it seem Diane is covering for her friend.Even if Diane died,he thought it was ok,his uncle and aunt would be too devastated to take care of the countdom and could snatch it away.But then Neris showed up and asked what he was doing.She told him she knew he was going to drop Diane and told him about the whole plan.Neris being there and knowing what his family planned was not part of the plan and when Diane sighed as if she knew he would do it,he got angry and his grip on Diane got stronger enough to hurt her,but she made an effort to not cry.Neris says its too late and he sees there are servants in the first floor now so he won't be able to hurt Diane without witnesses.

Frustrated Nuallan asks how she knew and Neris smiled saying it wasn't hard to guess when he didn't correct Diane using polite language to him,made her fall in the lake shore and that she is used to seeing people like him.She thought about her past and gave him a glare glare gave him chills.They heard footsteps from the stairs and when Jouce arrived he asked Diane why she is crying and then Neris started crying loudly like a child and collapsed on the floor.Nuallan was flabbergasted and gave Diane to Joyce and other people arrived too asking what is happening.Nuallan was trying to get calm and remind himself that even they told the truth,it would look ridiculous and no one would believe.

Joyce asked again what happened and Diane couldn't speak easily because it was something very big and Nuallan read her hesitation and gave her a persuasive smile as if to say she should just say she fought with neris and he would take care of her later.But Nerid acted faster and said Nuallan tried to hit Diane and she tried to stop him,still crying and people were shocked.

When Joyce asked Diane if ot was true,Nuallan said "no" for her,but seeing Diane resentful gaze,Joyce could tell the truth.He put Diane down and punched Nuallan.

Nuallan denied everything and Joyce asked why is Diane crying then if he didn't hit her.The parents arrive and are wondering what happened when Nuallan says it's a misunderstanding and that Joyce got a little heated and they should all talk in particular.He wants to sound as a peacemaker and make Joyce seem impulsive and it was working but Neris ran to Diane and started sobbing asking if she is already after nuallan tried to hit her and chaos installed.Nuallan understands what is happening,no one would believe if Nerid said he tried to kill Diane,but hitting her would seem plausible and the worst I'd that he did bruise her.the uncle start feeling the defeat and telling Nuallan to apologizes but the guests only think he is shameless since he should apologize to his brother first for not raising his son right.The count and the Countess tell Betty to check Diane in a close room and everybody hears Betty shocked voice so now everybody knows Nuallan did harm to Diane.The couple tell the guest to leave the room since it's a family matter,Joyce and Nuallan to got their bedrooms and they would talk the next day.Neris is surprised when the Countess calls her with an endearing name and tells her to go to her bedroom too,but she stays and wants for Diane and they don't stop her.

When Diane finally leaves the room and sees Neris waiting,her pitiful face turned brighter.Neris accompanied her to her bedroom and meant to leave,but Diane asked if they could sleep together with Betty encouragement and Neris agreed.She haven't really thought before that unlike her,Diane is a child who almost died today.Diane was too sad to even accept snacks and Betty was heartbroken.Once the girls were alone,Diane finally broke the silence and asked how Neris knew,to which Neris gives the same answer she gave to Nuallan(Inside she is thinking that if she weren't curious to why they didn't studied together before,she might have never know)Diane is amazed at Neris mind and this makes her a little lively.Neris assures that her parents won't let her meet them anymore and that they would be devastated if they lost her.Neris know it's true.She also told her that Angelo and the other planned to frame Neris and that they wanted to get Diane to hurt he reagents and get the title,what made Diane very more shocked and sad.(babyyyyy)

Diane asked how Neris knew it would be today,and Neris said it's because he probably would want to to it in a big event but with no witnesses and that she lied to the servants saying the Countess asked them to remove the decorations and thats how she got witnesses and stopped nuallan.She asked Diane to cover her lie and Diane agrees.She didn't told Diane,but one of the reasons she knew was how nuallan looked at her in the stairs when he offered to hold her.She knew he was developing a vile plan.Neris tries to sleep to save strength to tomorrow,but Diane just can't understand how she can sleep and start telling Neris that she doesn't know how she will face her relatives tomorrow and Neris assures that her parents won't let her meet them anymore.Diane then asks why she didn't told the truth that Nuallan meant to kill Diane and she said it was because people don't believe when children say extreme things,but they always believe the things they imagine.So Neris just had to say something plausible and their minds eventually would get the conclusion they wanted.She finally closer her eyes and Diane rolled hers because she wants to talk more and after thinking a little,she gets close to her.Neris could fell her arm hugging her and her leg resting in her body,but she stayed still.Diane closed her eyes and smiled before falling asleep.

The next day,Neris is called to Joyce's office and both of them have eyebags,but for different reasons.(Diane lied about being a quiet sleeper and turned the whole night XD)Neris sees a wrinkled Joanne there too.Aftwr she hard what happened,Joanne came back and confessed everything to Joyce about the corruption,that Sivna was helping with this and that Neris helped her escape.He questions Neris and she plays dumb making a childish expression making the two shocked.(She's cute toooooo)

She tells him that he trusted Angelo because he was introduced by his uncle,a family member,so by the logic he should trust Neris since his family member Diane introduced her.And that he doesn't really want to see if it's true or not since he have ways to discover it,so he called her to see if he can get a grasp of her intentions.She perfectly got Joyce's intentions and he is wondering how this girl is the same age as his sister and why she has a gaze sad and cynical.Neris asks him to protect Joanne and he agrees.

Some days after,the traitors are finally punished and the girls are being sent back to the academy.The servants are shocked to see Nuallan cursing them since he was always do nice and Sivna is begging for his brother saying it's as misunderstanding and that they should know how he cares about Diane.The Count couple is not even looking at them while they say their goodbyes to Diane,but Neris is looking at them.Punishment to noble relatives are different in every state,but in this one,they are basically put in a bad wagon and exiled out of the territory with nothing.Nuallan gazes angrily at Neris and Joyce covers her.He bows her head to Neris and thanks her but Neris says there's no need and he can see she is not trying to be humble,she really is.He smiles to her and advise about it.

Their relatives had spent days in the basement with the Raylings after it was found proof of their embezzlement and that they tried to kill Diane.Since the Raylings are commoners they will leave from the back gates and are not being treated with as much care as Nuallan and his father by the servants that knew what Angelo did.Angelo Rayling start screaming that he was framed and that he didn't could oppose the brother of a count.Joyce goes tell the servants how to proceed and behind Angelo,Heather is also being held and in a bad state after days in the basement.Legally,she committed no crimes,but after what her father did to the McKinnon and other families,he would receive a harsher punishment than exile and Heather would never seet foot in the McKinnon Manor or society ever again.She sneaks scared glances at Joyce and her gaze goes to Neris before get set on Diane.Neris covers Diane,even though the latter is taller and Diane is happy because her friend is trying to protect her.She ignores Heather and Diane and Neris start talking about how they had fun doing different activities in the last days of the trip.Heather is forced to leave sobbing miserably.

Diane asks Neris to come back next year too too her father assures Neris she will always be welcome.The Countess says the winter vacation is short,so she should come back in summer.Nerid days she will stay with her mother on summer,but thanks the Countess and she gave Neris a kiss on her forehead.Its been a long time since a adult woman was affectionate toward her,she even had to separate from her mother as soon as she came back,so this made her want to cry and laugh but she controlled her expressions.The girls left in a rush since Diane's father wanted her to overstay and sent many guards with her.In the carriage,Neris noticed Muriel in the terrace and the girls talk about how she will be sent to the temple.She said she didn't knew about the plan,but Diane's parents won't take her in because it's strange and her other relatives hate her even more.There were worse criminals,so Muriel was almost forgotten and unless a marriage proposal suddenly arrived she would never leave the temple and cause trouble.The count couple would probably make a reasonable monetary contribution to her even if she left.The girls think that Muriel was really on the dark,but she probably knew her relatives would leave since she walked around as if the manor was hers but she would be careful if she knew that Diane would be killed.Neris never heard about the young lady of the McKinnon family in the past,so she believes Nuallan got rid of her or sent her to get married in case she said something she shouldn't.Diane asked if Neris wanted to sleep om her dorms sometimes and she refused instantly since Diane moves and kicks so much while she sleeps.The laugh of the two could he heard through all the journey.♡

I think something we quite ignore is how many rotten things Neris acknowledged she did to bad and good people in the past in behalf of her "family".And I really liked Diane before but after this arc,she became my favorite character!She's so precious and deserves to be protected at all costs

The next summary had a LOT of space to MeanGirls references,perhaps because this time the targets were girls who actually had some power to affect people's opinions,unlike Riannon and Angharad who weren't in a very high position in the social hierarchy.

《Now ladies,I present you the new targets of this season:Alecto Islani and Idalia Kendall!》

Idalia and Alecto are walking together to class and Alecto is annoyed that even though she complimented Idalia's new pearl necklace and the bragged about the fact that her family traveled to a nice place,Idalia didn't say anything about Alecto ruby ring and said she was jealous because she got to travel,while her family had go stay in the manor to receive guests.Its only a subtle way to say she is from a high and traditional family,so Alecto can't say anything to Idalia since she is of higher status.Many students came back with many precious gifts from the holiday since when they started at the academy,they saw there are others wealthier,smarter and prettier children in the nobility.

Alecto sees Riannon and calls her but she only flinchs.Some boys started saying Alecto should hit her to see if she answers.Alecto keeps calling and catches up with Riannon,saying she doesn't beat people and if she didn't heard when she asked if she is going to class.Riannon looks nervous but a little healthier than the last semester.Riannon says to her it isn't obvious and Alecto starts offending her and started puting her finger in her forehead.Riannon was insulted and Alecto told she didn't beat "peoole".Everyone laughed.Alecto was usually very louder but many people liked to have her around since she says funny things and thought riannon was shameless for speaking up against Alecto who is normal like her.Idalia is also giving her hateful gazes saying to herself she would do something if ot was something else,but it's Riannon so it's ok.She keeps saying this to herself.

Idalia and Megara notice there's a adult coming and Megara tells everyone to go to class.The adult stops Alecto and says she should accompany him to the Madame Hoffman office.He also tells the other students that when Neris Truide arrives she should come too.Alecto notices this man looks like Angharad.

When Neris arrive at the office she makes a greeting and Angharad starts accusing her of lying about not remembering her since she greeted her father.Neris calmly told her she didn't remember her when they first met and that the man by her side looks just like so it's obvious.Baron Nain says she is still very smart but Neris is not dumb to think of it as a compliment.When she was princess consort she met Baron Nain a few times and while he probably has a just said he is blinded by love for his daugther.Angharad probably cried and fed him tales of neris being evil the whole holiday.Thats why she didn't went home.Baron Nain would probably summon Neris and her mother together to punish them pretending to be an inquiry and her father's previous lord would not be able to protect them.But if it's proven here she did nothing wrong,he won't be able to touch her or her mother and pretend it's fair.

Madame Hoffman also says she heard good things about her from Sir Voltaire but Neris knows she doesn't like her and it's the type that only favors high nobles.Baron Nain asks Neris if she was really the ringleader in bullying Angharad and Alecto starts laughing saying who would follow the lead of Neris Truide.Angharad angrily says that Neris is an evil girl who pretends to be nice and framed her and Neris denies when Baron Nain asks if it's true.From his cold eyes she can see he don't believe her at all.He says to Neris and Alecto that even so their actions hurt Angharad and that Alecto doesn't seem to show remorse.Alecto has a strong sense of inferiority because of her sisters standing out so she always tries to be heard and the possibility of being punished because of a Baron family is insulting to her.

Madame Hoffman starts saying that they will have to investigate more before giving a severe punishment,but for now it seems there was bullying and told alecto go come over after class and when she was about about say Neris would be in detention for a week,Nelruision arrived saying he heard a child of his family got in trouble and he came to apologize with her.Madame Hoffman changed her attitude since not only Nelruision is from a high status family,but all the teachers liked him since besides the royal family,all students should be polite to the teachers,but unlike other high status students that ignore this,Nelruision really does.Nelruision asks if it's really true that Neris was guilty and Madame Hoffman says they are still checking.The girls are offended that Neris is receiving special treatment from elandria and Baron nain is offended and asks Hoffman if she thinks his daugther is lying,to which she says that children usually get confused and they need to verify if what Angharad is really true or just what she believed to be true.

At the cafeteria,Neris and Diane are chatting about what happened.Neris got 3 days of detention writing apologies letters and Diane praises Nelruision for taking good care of her,but Neris is bitter since he never showed up in the past,no matter how many worse reasons neris had to do detention.They laugh when Diane says it's good she won't do detention at the same room as the noisy alecto.Alecto is being loud and saying to all students how unfair this is and how it's not her fault that Angharad has no friends and that no one is bullied without reason.Neris goes back to the past when riannon said the same thing to her.

Alecto has a smart older sister and a pretty younger sister,so she tried hard to be seen and heard.She can't tolerate anyone being better than her and started picking fights with Neris saying her smile is creepy,she is a show off and trying to help and mingle is useless.She even was the one who invented the game of putting a rotten milk cup in Neris head to see if she will make it fall.Neris believed she was right and stopped doing those things,but Alecto once again critized neris for stopping doing these things.Once Neris became crown princess,she went to a party and Alecto greeted her as if they were old friends saying how amazing it is that one of her friends becane crown princess.Neris was so confused thinking if alecto actually thought of them as friends and that was just her playing around until Alecto said that everybody hated her so she is happy she got over it and became someone great.Perhaps Alecto was just trying to get benefit out of neris or she really believed they were friends but the main reason is that perpetrator forget what they did to their victims.Neris plans something that Alecto will never forget and she also knows about a very interesting news that would arrive to Riannon later that night,that in the past made people say how lucky she is,and right now will help make Alecto more miserable.Just then,Riannon rises up from her table and throws her food in Alecto's head.

Riannon asks if she really thinks people like her and Alecto throws her own food back at her and says she has more friends than Riannon and that she is just a low ranking girl that someday will have no noble status and her words sound reasonable to everyone.Riannon is not good with words like Alecto and can't say anything back.She leaves while riannon mocks her saying she should finish her food on the floor and everyone laughs.Alecto feels proud when many friends offer handkerchiefs so she can clean herself.

Diane is amazed at Neris foresight choosing seats since they usually seat a little farther than others,but today neris chose seats that while they could watch the "show" they didn't got dirtied.She doesn't know Neris talked to alecto when they left Madame Hoffman office about how shameless it is that a Baron daugther would accuse the daugther of a count.She knew that Alecto would feel all the rage toward her targets as neris encouraged her,so in the cafeteria she moved just as Neris expected and enraged riannon with her words.Before they left the cafeteria,Neris eyes briefly met Megara's and she smiled with her eyes to the villainess.

After detention,Nelruision waited for Neris and accompanied her to her dorm.She knew he probably wanted something and she planned to use him too and asked how the ducal family is fairing.Nelruision thought Neris smile looked as if she could see the real him,but dismissed the idea.He finally got to the point and asked if it's true that riannon was being bullied like he didn't knew.Neris says she doesn't know about Riannon's friends but there are some children she doesn't get along with.He says to her he feels bad and that if it's not too much,if she could be nice to her.Neris says yes and that she never thought riannon was a bad person.Nelruision laughs because he knows that Riannon Bertha had snubbed the "inoccent" and "naive" Neris many times.He praises her for being kind even though he betrayed her kindness in the past and Valentin tortured Neris that endured everything because she wanted a family but now she waits eagerly to make Valentin miserable.Neris knows that if Nelruision came to talk about Riannon,that incident already happened.

The next day in dance class,Angharad noticed she is being more ignored than before but she thinks perhaps it will be better to have a quiet school life if she can't expect a good one.She flinches when she hears alecto voice,even if it's not about her,but she is glad she probably won't bug her anymore after her father came to the school.One of the boys frown when he have to dance with her and she is offended because he used to treat her well and because Neris dance partner mocked him saying she will tell her father again.Neris didn't laughed or glared at Angharad and the fact she won't show reaction infuriates Angharad even more.(She won't go down to your level,brat)In the middle of the class,Angharad left crying even though nothing have seemed to happen and there was one boy left.Riannon was the only girl without a partner yet and the boys looked as of they didn't want to be her partner.The class was interrupted when a servant arrived.Some children noticed he had a white ribbon on his uniform and that it was a symbol of mourning,so someone in the class lost a relative.The servant said he came from the Bertha family and Riannon recognized him and got nervous,leaving class with him.The children who were closest to the door and had a good hearing told their partners what they heard and they told others.By the end of the class,all the first years knew that Count Bertha and his heir died in a carriage accident.Now the second son Inherited the title and Riannon became a real lady.It all happened in the same way Neris remembered.(ngl,a interesting twist)

A week later,Riannon returned from home and all students were comparing about how she is acting so confident,how she arrived in a four horse carriage with the family crest and is wearing golden buttons with the family crest and a precious necklace of diamonds and pearl to class.(Try to seem less happy,Nona XD otherwise people will say your father planned this)

There was no one who was happy for her.High ranking students didn't like how she became their equal and low rankings didn't like how she became higher than them.She has many relatives and even though they didn't really liked how she pretend to be close and only associate with children of the same station or above,they supported her because she was still a granddaughter of a count,but after the letter incident no one pretends anymore.One girl tells Idalia she should tell riannon something and she would stop being so confident but Idalia gives an embarrassed smile saying there's nothing she can do.

Riannon calls the teacher in class and accuses alecto of glaring at her.The teacher tries to fix the situation,but alecto laughs and mocks riannon when she tried to sound elegant and said something wrong.

Riannon is angry and after class,some student think she cried.Alecto is complaining to a close group and is surprised when no one gives her attention.Alecto is not popular in the traditional way but there is no one who doesn't like having her around since she says things others like and is a good confident.Basically it's well know that...

Someone asks if she really had to go this far and when she asks what happened,they say to forget it and that it's not worthing talking with her.Another boy out of the group says she disturbed the whole class atmosphere and said she is so loud that only her voice echoes on the hall.(It's true XD there were so many times where it said Alecto voice could be heard all over the hall,all over the class,the cafeteria,the girl is a chatterbox)She can't understand why they're treating her like this and soon she finds herself completely alone without a single friendly face to share what happened.

Back at the hideout,Neris asks Cledwyn to make sure the rumors she wrote, spread around the students and to make everyone think Alecto is the source.He knows she was the one who instigated all this discord and the reason Neris knew people would turn against Alecto is because something similar happened in the past.In the past,when Riannon became a lady,she had a good reputation so people were not so openly displeased as now.When Neris became an Elandria people also starting being so open about the bullying.The thing is,people talked a lot about her in the past and now it's riannon.They talked so much and know it's better to shut up now,so even hearing their names would bring displeasure.Thats why they told alecto off,because even though they have no intention of pleasing riannon,they can't afford to get on her bad side since her father is more powerful than Alecto and Alecto is always the ones who remind them of Riannon situation and brings trouble,even though they are tired of hearing the same thing everytime.The same thing didn't really happened to Neris since everyone knew how Valentin Elandria hated Neris since she came to the academy(that would be in six months time),but after she was adopted she wasn't hated so openly up front,but in a more vulgar way behind her back.

She also asks him for a piece of land where no one goes through to do something.He also tells her the seeds she asked for are almost here.Neris is surprised by how easily he agrees with her even though it would take years for her to start working to him and repaying her debt.But he really is trusting her and taking her word for granted even though he does asks some questions here and there out of curiosity.She also once again is taken aback for a moment by how pretty he is before thanking him and leaving.Cledwyn likes misteryous things and in his boring school life,this misteryous girls is really something.His gaze remained on her for a long time after she left.

Alecto has been ignored for days by her class and confronts a shy Idalia asking for an explanation.A boy called Heath likes how Idalia is pretty,kind and of good family and stands up for her since Idalia never speak her own mind.telling her that they know she told Benny's secret even though she trusted her.Benny had a crush on Heath,but she knew he liked Idalia and asked advice to Alecto.Then another person said that Yuna,who had been glaring daggers at Alecto lately,had locked herself in her bedroom after she confided in Alecto about her weight issues and she babbled about it to others .Alecto says she never told those things to anyone.

But she did,to very quiet classmates who wouldn't go around saying it.

It was because she was annoyed by how tactless those kids are.She can't understand how this is all happening and some of her classmates threaten her and thrown ink in her clothes.(I really like how this time a bully will pay for something she actually did to others in this timeline)

Neris and Diane are doing homework in Diane's dorm and Diane tells all about what happened since Neris doesn't take that class.Shes very excited that Alecto os being bullied since she always badmouthed Diane and Neris because of their families situations,even in front of them.Neris agrees with her and asks Betty about the place she lives saying it's for a homework.The place where Betty used to live has many medical herbs and this made Neris satisfied.When she used to be around Lady Mariah,she suddenly had a doctor who made a very good medicine to her joint pain and he started asking for more money everytime.Neris heard another doctor complaining about him and saying the medicine was created by his assistant.Neris told this to lady Mariah and she laughed saying she did heard he had a Mistress in that land so she can guess who the boy is.She was also looking for a way to get the medicine in another way.Lady Mariah expelled the doctor for another reason and he was replaced by his Illegitimate son(his assistant)that was scared and told them how he grew the medicine.Neris plans to sell that medicine so she can have her own funds to execute not only her revenge,but protect her mother.

The next day,Prince Abelus happens to see Alecto arguing with Neris saying she lied about her feet hurting just so she won't dance with Alecto whobhad to dance alone.Abelus can guess what happened since Count Bertha is powerful than Count Islani and is put a pressure.Bertha also really loves his daugther while Islani is more cold towards them.Abelus had a a hard time remembering who neris was until it hit him it was Nelruision relative he met before.He couldn't really stop looking at neris because something about the way she moves feels familiar,but he wouldn't know it's because she moves just like the imperial family due to extensive training.When he sees her icy expression he suddenly thinks she looks like older sister Camille,but dismisses this idea before leaving,since how could a knights daughter have something in common with a imperial princess?He misses the part where Neris says to riannon she could have said something inside but decided to follow her like a coward while she is alone because she thinks Neris is weak and that's why no one likes Alecto.(she trowed her words back at her,she had said it multiple times to Neris and Riannon)

Some of the ranks in a minor quiz were fixed.Megara congratulates Idalia who got good grades despite being worried and Idalia is mesmerized by Megaras humbleness that got the first place this time.Idalia once again admires the smile of her loyal friends that already told her she had no intention of fighting over boys with her.(Idalia reminds me of this character.She thinks Megara is perfect and can't do wrong,and keeps simping for her)

Idalia had a secret pride in herself since she was educated so well,but once she arrived at the academy there were many students who did better than her that "shouldn't.Neris Truide was one of them.She believed it was weird of kids that spent their days playing in the fields or taking care of sheeps,doing better than a lady like her who received the best education.Another thing she is worried is because she always sees Neris "following" Nelruision,and since they are distant relatives,if neris grow up to be even prettier and smarter than she is now,she might actually snatch him away.She already heard boys mistaking her coldness for elegance and saying she is pretty,and she knows she is Sir Sheridan favorite student and from what Megara told her,she is already getting preferential treatment from sir Voltaire and that how she is getting well in school.Idalia often let's herself in secret illusions about growing up to be just a beautiful lady like Natasha Grunehals and marry Nelruision.She knows that for this to happen,many other ladies of better families will have to be excluded from the marriage negotiations.Someone like Neris who got in the academy by sheer luck could never be like her who was raised to be a perfect hostess.

It's social studies glass and sir Sheridan is teaching how to make flowers arrangements when Riannon starts mocking Neris asking if she picked those flowers since everyone knows she is in a academy program that students receive some money helping teacher with chores.Neris doesn't give her attention and when Riannon calls her a clown,Diana says it takes one to recognize another XD Even Alecto joins and says she is noisy and that's why even truide is ignoring her.(whoa really you to talk?)

Diane knows her family offered to pay for neris tuition and give her an allowance,but Neris refused even to take a maid.Diane was sad,but also proud of what Joyce called "Neris nobility",the way she doesn't brag and acts dignified.She asks Neris who really picked the flowers and she said it was some older students that helped in order to attend a gathering Sir Sheridan will host.Every year,Sir Sheridan introduces his favorite students to the ladies that were his favorite and that are now well stablished women in society and so they take care of each other.Diane is satisfied seeing Riannon,Alecto and Angharad faces because if sir Sheridan told this to Neris,he probably plans to introduce her there someday.Even Alecto sister worked hard to enter the "Sheridan division" but never had success.Neris gaze goes to megara table where she's sitting with an innocent looking Idalia laughing about something.Neris turns her head when idalia looks at her and Idalia forgets that their eyes met instantly.

Idalia grew up hearing she was kind and so did Neris.Everyone either cursed,beated of complained about neris but idalia never did so.She totally ignored Neris as if she was invisible and to a Neris who was being tortured everyday,this treatment was good.The only time Idalia took notice of Neris was in in graduation.She gave Neris a letter in which she said she always wanted to be friend with her but couldn't because of Megara and that when they met again,they should greet each other.This sounded absurd even to Neris and made her have a hunch that Idalia is not so kind as she seems.She didn't thought long about it though,there was no need.Sometime after,Nelruision asked Neris to get engaged to Prince Abelus and since she felt guilty refusing since they took her in after her mom's death,she accepted even though she thought I was shameless since it was known that Natasha Grunehals has been dating Abelus since the academy to her mid twenties.Everybody expected her to become the future Empress and once she took notice of Neris,she took action.Idalia had sent her a letter saying Natasha wanted to meet Neris and perhaps would be better if she went to.She said she would be there too and the exhausted Neris felt she deserved Natasha verbal abuse.She went to the adress.It was a far manor but who she found there was Eustace Grunehals,Natasha little brother who kidnapped Neris.He planned to give her a poison that would make her mute and then sell her as a slave,but Neris managed to escape and was scolded by Duke Elandria for getting herself in that situation.

Idalia kept sending her letters saying she didn't knew that this would happen,but Neris didn't believe she wasn't aware of it.In a party,the fair and elegant Idalia finally cornered Neris and with tears in her eyes apologized saying she had no idea and if Nelruision helped her escape.Seeing the spark in her eyes Neris guessed Idalia and herself shared the same type of love for Nelruision and that Idalia knew too.Natasha certainly knew too that Idalia was fake and always wanted to remain in her high horse,that's why she chosen her.Neris had to pay Idalia back but the tricks she used so far won't do anything to someone of her status.But there was another student with power enough to ostracize Idalia.

At night,Neris is scolded by Natasha for being out late since is her duty as a council student member to patrol the school.Neris gains some points with her when she thanked her for helping her since she was lost and this wasn't the building sir Sheridan had assigned for the students rehearsal of the quiz.Natasha likes being complimented and said that Neris is cute and looks more like Nelruision than his blood sister,but that because she doesn't know that while Nelruision and Valentin look like polar opposites,they have the same cruel personality.Neris says she wishes she was as pretty as Natasha and that megara is the real cute one since everyone says she will marry a high ranking men someday.Natasha is confident in her beauty but there's no guarantee that Abelus will look only at her,so she needs to trample on everyone who is a threaten.Neris,Idalia and Megara are the great beauties that arrived this year and if Natasha wasn't so fixated in elandria marriage negotiations,she would notice that the woman who was really going to steal Abelus from her was Megara.Natasha saw how her father used all kind of excuses to sent his beautiful wife to the countryside so he could spent time with new girls,so she doesn't have illusions about marriage.Natasha wouldn't suspect from first graders so Neris had to plant seeds of suspicious for the right time.

After going to the garden she heard iron sounds and smelled blood.She hide herself and heard the voices of Ralph,Abelus knight;and Joseph,Nelruision knight that had hold her while Valentin have her poison.Right now they are still students who tuitions are being paid by the bisto and the elandrias so they can grow as loyal knights of the heirs and Neris as amazed that even now Abelus and Nelruision are doing their tricks to someone.Neris can hear them saying they're looking for someone who did a lot of hideouts around the school and she noticed there is a bush surprisingly still that would probably be found it they kept looking.Neris made her footsteps known and screamed as if she was really scared once the knights pointed their swords at her.Joseph recognized her and neris lied about knowing his name too because she saw him with Nelruision.Ralph reproaches her for being there and she apologizes saying it's because the first years have a quiz close by and that Natasha already had said the same to her too.She promised to go back to where she was supposed to be and make sure to tell her classmates to go straight home too.This made them look at each other and leave since Neris made them believe there would be other classmates walking around here and Neris could say she met them just as she said Natasha name.

Once they leave she goes to the bush and wonders if the person inside is still alive since its covered in blood.Once his eyes open,she realizes it's Cledwyn.He tries to call Neris name but the words get lost.Neris gives him a leaf to much that will keep him away and helps him stand up.When he wakes up,he is in Ren bedroom being tended by him and Neris.He already knew Ren had positive feelings towards Neris,but compared to the grumpy way Ren treats him,the way he treats Neris is more like a dog in the way he wags his tail and is so readily to do as she tells.They glare at ecah other before Ren leaves and he is astonished a dog is treating his mistress employer this way in such a arrogant way.XD

Neris reproaches him for glaring when it was Ren divine power that saved his life.During this convo,he notices that he and Ren are the same since he is always obeying Neris without thinking twice.He thought it was just because he found her amusing,but now he thinks it's not and even if he tries to rebel,he can't.Cledwyn is astonished as to how low neris thinks of herself and from his reports,he knows her bedroom is a place without any decorations as if she is someone ready to leave at any moment and that knows no one will mourn it.When he heard her voice in the bush,he actually thought she would turn him to Nelruision since she is smart enough to get her revenge even without him,but she surprised him.

Neris asked what happened and Cledwyn tells her he was betrayed by someone he trusted.Neris asks if it was his maternal grandfather,Marquess Hudis Tiffian,what shocks Cledwyin because she was right.She lies that its because he kept murmuring his name in his sleep but it's because in the past,the Marquess was very influential since his land connected maindulante to the empire and he was the Grand duke grandfather,and Neris tried to recruit him for the Elandria and she happened to hear a conversation between him and Joseph talking about someone that they tried to kill in the past.She wonders how Cledwyin survived in the past and why he forgave his grandfather.

Meanwhile,Megara is walking back to her dorm with Idalia in a bad mood.Since Neris didn't went to the rehearsal,the pranks she told her followers to prepare,like putting a blade and ink to make a mess out of her in her desk didn't work,and Diane McKinnon that felt something was strange in the way they kept looking at the door,was excited that Neris didn't came since she guessed what happened.Without Neris,she was the one sir Sheridan gave all the praise but this only made her offended because she should have it all to herself and not because a knight daugther didn't came.

Mahradi Annim was being ignored by Megara and wants to get in her good graces again and came to talk to Megara saying he was studying in the library and Idalia was interested when he says that Nelruision knight suddenly left him to study alone and told him he met Neris Truide.He also made a slip of tongue saying he knew Megara had a rehearsal today and the students passing by felt sorry fro megara who was being followed by a creepy,but Megara only smiled and asked him more about when and where Joseph Karen had met Neris Truide.As they left,she told Idalia with a wicked smile she needed to know where Neris dorm room was.

(I need to add,I really liked chapter 48.Not only because we got a better close view to Megara's cruel mind,but also because we had a bigger development to Neris relationship not only to Cledwyn,that is something I was was missing,but also to other characters.She admitted to herself that Cledwyn and Diane were the only people who could help her and she also trusted Ren enough to let him in the fact she has a relationship with Cledwyn)

Neris acompanied Cledwyn to his dorm before going to hers.She is wearing Cledwyin coat because he said that the one who Ren gave her was stained too.

She notices there's someone in the dormitory,hides and sees the man who helped in her kidnapping.She assume at the time it was a servant of the grunehals,so she is curious why would he be here now.She inspects her own bedroom and finds the social studies test hidden there.

The next day,the student council members are summoned to investigate what happened.They were taking about how the first graders of this years are troublemakers like never seen before, when Megara and Idalia arrive.Abelus doesn't have interest in kids but he is satisfied when megara keeps glancing at him because nwlruision is the one who always gets attention for his looks.Megara says she heard what happened and she don't want to say something bad about a friend,but everyone can tell it's a lie and Nelruision guesses the name that will come from her mouth.Neris is called to the office and the students council members who haven't seen her yet are bewildered seeing her purple eyes and her powerful presence.They ask her where she was last night and if someone can prove that she really was in her bedroom.When Natasha asks wh

This rubs Nelruision and Abelus in the wrong way since it makes them wonder if she saw or helped Cledwyn last night.Abelus tell her about the crime and that she is a suspect.A servant was sent to her dorm and the other students are told to leave the office.Megara was annoyed that idalia came with her just to see Nelruision because she is stupid enough to blurter something without meaning too,but is full of glee thinking she finally got Neris and Idalia is regretful that Nelruision didn't look at her.She leaves with her servant,the same one that kidnapped neris in the past and tried to frame her in the present.In the end,it was Idalia servant,not Natasha.Neris gazes at idalia and she gets scared but neris gaze soon goes back normal and she forgets it.She hesitated doing what megara said because it was something bad,but since neris existence is the most oddest and improper thing in the academy,she though it would justify her actions.Once this is done,she will go to the temple and pray a lot so she can repent and continue being the kind girl she is.

Basically,Idalia is ok with bullying ad long as she doesn't seem like the instigator and no harm comes her way.

Alone with Abelus and Nelruision,Neris is actually in despair because all her excuses were counting that Natasha servant put the papers there,but the servant being idalia proves that Natasha probably had less of a hand on it,while Idalia and Eustace Grunehals actively tried to sell Neris as a slave.

She soon recognizes that they wonder if she helped Cledwyin by the way the prince mentioned her being close to the building and interrogating her kinda harshly.She starts acting like she was wronged being the prime suspect and that she is scared because she never really did something like this.When they say she doesn't have a real alibi because she said she had a headache,she acts very embarrassed saying her period suddenly came so she came back to her office.Its a lie,but she actually used the blood from Cledwyn to stain one of her underwear so she would have an excuse when they searched her bedroom.The mood gets awkward because no girl would feel comfortable saying something like this to both of them and they know it.

When Abelus knights arrives announcing he didn't found anything(like any letters or possessions that could involve her with Cledwyn)

Abelus tells her to go but a "shy" neris asks why Idalia and Megara were there and they told they came voluntary as witnesses,to which neris makes a sour face that everyone gets the meaning.Something else that catches their attention is that megara says exactly the name of the paper that went missing,while Neris doesn't and only answers according to what they say.

In the hall,she meets the villainesses and megara apologizes saying she didn't want to suspect of her but she thought it was the right thing to do and that neris must have been happy to speak to the prince.Neris says she understands and calls megara a "model student",but this only sounds as a mockery to megara.Idalia asks if she is ok and flinches when neris gives her a big smile and said she was proven innocent and is thanks to her worries.This makes Megara suspects that the hypocrite idalia actually helped neris.Natasha tells them to leave and enris apologizes for causing trouble last night without menainf to and this makes Natasha annoyed because it reminds her of the conversation with neris when she mentioned megara would marry a high ranking men and she spent the night worried about it.Remember that Natasha was the sole rare beauty of the academy for many years and this year there's suddenly other younger prettier girls.Abelus calls the other girls to the office,calling idalia by her last name and megara by her first name and Neris says to megara that she must be happy she will be able to talk with his highness.(HAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Abelus and Nelruision inquire why megara thought neris stole the papers and she lied saying that one of her servants heard a school servant talking about something that was stolen from sir Sheridan and she thought it could only be the exams paper and it was her duty to inform them.Even though megara was of such a important family that she would certainly become a council student member in some years,this sounded ridiculous to natasha and she reproached idalia when she spoke out of turn saying that it's weird that neris always places first so she probably stole the papers and got rid of it after memorizing.Megara I'd angry that idalia is acting so guilty enough to turn them over and is pondering over Neris words,thinking that Idalia really betrayed their plan consciously or inconciously.Nelruision is unsatisfied that someone is messing with neris when even though she has different surname,he's happy to think of her as someone of his family(POLICE)

He is about to tell the knights to search their bedrooms when megara starts doing a pitiful expression to abelus and he is falling for it,much to Natasha annoyance.She tells them that the truth is that she guessed an exam paper was missing because she saw idalia sending her servant after sir sherridan the night before and she went to sleep on her dorm because she was scared of something.When she heard about sir Sherridan possessions being stolen she thought it could be idalia stealing the exams papers because she always says she is unsatisfied with her grades.She also admits it's her own fault for trying to cover for a friend turning other one to and everybody but Natasha and Nelruision actually bought her bullshit.The whole reason Megara sent Idalia's servant and called her to sleep in her dorm,is so she could pin the guilt on her if things went wrong.

Idalia is shocked that megara would make such a cold expression to her and lie like this.When the members ask her if it's true,megara presses her hand hard enough to hurt and gives her a smile that seems like encouragement from others but to idalia it only seems like "see what happens if you go against me".This makes idalia angry because even though megara family is more powerful,they are both daugthers of marquesses.

She tells the truth that Megara stealed it and told her to blame neris,but everybody sighs like they think she is lying.Between the calm and regretful Megara and the loud and scared idalia that has been acting as of she's guilty and giving excuses since she entered,it's decided that Idalia was the thief.

《Alecto had a inferiority complex and tried hard to be seem as a cool girl even at the expenses of others and Idalia was a bystander that while she doesn't "bully",she justifies herself saying she has no choice.Unlike Angharad and Riannon who couldn't hide their malice from us readers
,Alecto and Idalia reveal themselves in ways that we could sympathize or give excuses because they don't seem as "bad" if we see from their perspective,but the truth is that it doesn't make it any right and they should take responsibility for their actions.》

The next day,Diane is telling Neris the rumor that Idalia Kendall had stolen the exam paper and accused megara and several people,but no one seem to know Neris was one of the accused.Diane is astonished that things like the second student being jealous and framing the first student doesn't happen only in books,to which Neris since it is slightly wrong but right at the same time.Neris and Megara,the real first and second student,have been dealing with this since the past.When Megara was Abelus mistress,she involve herself in politics with abelus approval and when something went wrong,she blamed it all on Neris and everybody believed,so it was no surprise she would do it again once she feels threatened.

When a sad Megara arrives in the cafeteria,all the students that used to praise idalia for being nice start chastising her and consoling Megara,that pitiful says that Idalia was in a difficult position.Megara and Neris eyes met and they smile.Suddenly,the cafeteria becomes silent as Idalia enters alone and sits alone when usually she would always have friends around her.Heath,the boy who liked and that had talks of a possible marriage in her previous life looked like he would invite her but stopped when he gazed at megara smiley face.Idalia coughs a lot after eating but no one but her servant,Simon,help her.She can't handle the silence and the hateful gazes and leaves the cafeteria while megara chats happily with her many friends.

(As soon as they got into "trouble",Megara abandoned Riannon and Idalia that were her closest friends(followers).This incident will hopefully make others understand how ready she is to let anyone take the fall for her since we saw there's been some other kids she had asked to prank Neris.)

In the Zakaria library,Neris is studying for her exams while Cledwyn tells her the rumor that Idalia changed departments and will study theology.(This have the same energy of Freya becoming a nun XD)He keeps asking for neris attention,but she is concentrated and thinking how can he get the best grades when he doesn't doesn't study.In the end,he goes to the hideout and neris hears his voice and she can guess his chair has a communication device and that's why he pointed his sword to her on the first meeting.But now he is mindlessly sharing his secret with her and she is worried that she allied herself to a very naive person and is worried about his own security.When he cames back he gives her a letter informing that her mother would work as a temporary maid for Viscountess Parisher that she knows it's a very just noblewoman during this summer,so they wouldn't have to come back to Lopez,where with some luck,Baron Nain and Angharad wouldn't harass them.She is relieved and thanks him to which he says it's a birthday gift.She totally forgot it was her birthday because it was during the school year and her mother couldn't celebrate it with her,so for 20 years,her birthday was treated as a nuisance or a day to get briberies and no one ever congratulated her with a good heart.She couldn't even thank him properly again because it felt like something was blocking her throat.She felt moved because it has been so long since someone congratuled her sincerely and gave her something that made her happy and tries to convince herself that it's not a big thing for him to know that since he did a background check on her and whatever,but in the end,she let's the tender hearted girl she was show up and thanks him while showing a bright and sincere smile.

The reason Cledwyn gave her this was that it was a reward for saving his life since she didn't ask for anything,he gave her something she would need.He said to himself that was the only reason until he saw how the girl who always keeps her feelings hidden show a face with emotion like she is about to cry and he thought she looked cute like this.Seein her,he suddenly thought she might be suspicious of his intentions so he said it was a birthday gift because according to him then he would have a reason to gift her because it would be stranger to pretend he doesn't know it's her birthday when he knows(I wonder if he gifts all of his subordinates XD)

He thought that the unsure face and the timid smile she gave suited her more and couldn't understand why he felt sad it vanished soon.(I can't believe im giving a free pass for a sixteen years old crushing on thirteen years old,but well XD)

Back to her usual self,she asked Cledwyn how would she communicate with him in parisher.He said he would tell once she arrived.Neris was satisfied she would have a lot of time to make plans and is looking forward to the summer vacation with a sense of ease.

First timeskip coming in the next part.It's the second year in the academy to Neris and the first to Valentin Elandria,the villainess who murdered Neris in the past.

Idalia and Alecto are walking together to class and Alecto is annoyed that even though she complimented Idalia's new pearl necklace and the bragged about the fact that her family traveled to a nice place,Idalia didn't say anything about Alecto ruby ring and said she was jealous because she got to travel,while her family had go stay in the manor to receive guests.Its only a subtle way to say she is from a high and traditional family,so Alecto can't say anything to Idalia since she is of higher status.Many students came back with many precious gifts from the holiday since when they started at the academy,they saw there are others wealthier,smarter and prettier children in the nobility.

Alecto sees Riannon and calls her but she only flinchs.Some boys started saying Alecto should hit her to see if she answers.Alecto keeps calling and catches up with Riannon,saying she doesn't beat people and if she didn't heard when she asked if she is going to class.Riannon looks nervous but a little healthier than the last semester.Riannon says to her it isn't obvious and Alecto starts offending her and started puting her finger in her forehead.Riannon was insulted and Alecto told she didn't beat "peoole".Everyone laughed.Alecto was usually very louder but many people liked to have her around since she says funny things and thought riannon was shameless for speaking up against Alecto who is normal like her.Idalia is also giving her hateful gazes saying to herself she would do something if ot was something else,but it's Riannon so it's ok.She keeps saying this to herself.

Idalia and Megara notice there's a adult coming and Megara tells everyone to go to class.The adult stops Alecto and says she should accompany him to the Madame Hoffman office.He also tells the other students that when Neris Truide arrives she should come too.Alecto notices this man looks like Angharad.

When Neris arrive at the office she makes a greeting and Angharad starts accusing her of lying about not remembering her since she greeted her father.Neris calmly told her she didn't remember her when they first met and that the man by her side looks just like so it's obvious.Baron Nain says she is still very smart but Neris is not dumb to think of it as a compliment.When she was princess consort she met Baron Nain a few times and while he probably has a just said he is blinded by love for his daugther.Angharad probably cried and fed him tales of neris being evil the whole holiday.Thats why she didn't went home.Baron Nain would probably summon Neris and her mother together to punish them pretending to be an inquiry and her father's previous lord would not be able to protect them.But if it's proven here she did nothing wrong,he won't be able to touch her or her mother and pretend it's fair.

Madame Hoffman also says she heard good things about her from Sir Voltaire but Neris knows she doesn't like her and it's the type that only favors high nobles.Baron Nain asks Neris if she was really the ringleader in bullying Angharad and Alecto starts laughing saying who would follow the lead of Neris Truide.Angharad angrily says that Neris is an evil girl who pretends to be nice and framed her and Neris denies when Baron Nain asks if it's true.From his cold eyes she can see he don't believe her at all.He says to Neris and Alecto that even so their actions hurt Angharad and that Alecto doesn't seem to show remorse.Alecto has a strong sense of inferiority because of her sisters standing out so she always tries to be heard and the possibility of being punished because of a Baron family is insulting to her.

Madame Hoffman starts saying that they will have to investigate more before giving a severe punishment,but for now it seems there was bullying and told alecto go come over after class and when she was about about say Neris would be in detention for a week,Nelruision arrived saying he heard a child of his family got in trouble and he came to apologize with her.Madame Hoffman changed her attitude since not only Nelruision is from a high status family,but all the teachers liked him since besides the royal family,all students should be polite to the teachers,but unlike other high status students that ignore this,Nelruision really does.Nelruision asks if it's really true that Neris was guilty and Madame Hoffman says they are still checking.The girls are offended that Neris is receiving special treatment from elandria and Baron nain is offended and asks Hoffman if she thinks his daugther is lying,to which she says that children usually get confused and they need to verify if what Angharad is really true or just what she believed to be true.

At the cafeteria,Neris and Diane are chatting about what happened.Neris got 3 days of detention writing apologies letters and Diane praises Nelruision for taking good care of her,but Neris is bitter since he never showed up in the past,no matter how many worse reasons neris had to do detention.They laugh when Diane says it's good she won't do detention at the same room as the noisy alecto.Alecto is being loud and saying to all students how unfair this is and how it's not her fault that Angharad has no friends and that no one is bullied without reason.Neris goes back to the past when riannon said the same thing to her.

Alecto has a smart older sister and a pretty younger sister,so she tried hard to be seen and heard.She can't tolerate anyone being better than her and started picking fights with Neris saying her smile is creepy,she is a show off and trying to help and mingle is useless.She even was the one who invented the game of putting a rotten milk cup in Neris head to see if she will make it fall.Neris believed she was right and stopped doing those things,but Alecto once again critized neris for stopping doing these things.Once Neris became crown princess,she went to a party and Alecto greeted her as if they were old friends saying how amazing it is that one of her friends becane crown princess.Neris was so confused thinking if alecto actually thought of them as friends and that was just her playing around until Alecto said that everybody hated her so she is happy she got over it and became someone great.Perhaps Alecto was just trying to get benefit out of neris or she really believed they were friends but the main reason is that perpetrator forget what they did to their victims.Neris plans something that Alecto will never forget and she also knows about a very interesting news that would arrive to Riannon later that night,that in the past made people say how lucky she is,and right now will help make Alecto more miserable.Just then,Riannon rises up from her table and throws her food in Alecto's head.

Riannon asks if she really thinks people like her and Alecto throws her own food back at her and says she has more friends than Riannon and that she is just a low ranking girl that someday will have no noble status and her words sound reasonable to everyone.Riannon is not good with words like Alecto and can't say anything back.She leaves while riannon mocks her saying she should finish her food on the floor and everyone laughs.Alecto feels proud when many friends offer handkerchiefs so she can clean herself.

Diane is amazed at Neris foresight choosing seats since they usually seat a little farther than others,but today neris chose seats that while they could watch the "show" they didn't got dirtied.She doesn't know Neris talked to alecto when they left Madame Hoffman office about how shameless it is that a Baron daugther would accuse the daugther of a count.She knew that Alecto would feel all the rage toward her targets as neris encouraged her,so in the cafeteria she moved just as Neris expected and enraged riannon with her words.Before they left the cafeteria,Neris eyes briefly met Megara's and she smiled with her eyes to the villainess.

After detention,Nelruision waited for Neris and accompanied her to her dorm.She knew he probably wanted something and she planned to use him too and asked how the ducal family is fairing.Nelruision thought Neris smile looked as if she could see the real him,but dismissed the idea.He finally got to the point and asked if it's true that riannon was being bullied like he didn't knew.Neris says she doesn't know about Riannon's friends but there are some children she doesn't get along with.He says to her he feels bad and that if it's not too much,if she could be nice to her.Neris says yes and that she never thought riannon was a bad person.Nelruision laughs because he knows that Riannon Bertha had snubbed the "inoccent" and "naive" Neris many times.He praises her for being kind even though he betrayed her kindness in the past and Valentin tortured Neris that endured everything because she wanted a family but now she waits eagerly to make Valentin miserable.Neris knows that if Nelruision came to talk about Riannon,that incident already happened.

The next day in dance class,Angharad noticed she is being more ignored than before but she thinks perhaps it will be better to have a quiet school life if she can't expect a good one.She flinches when she hears alecto voice,even if it's not about her,but she is glad she probably won't bug her anymore after her father came to the school.One of the boys frown when he have to dance with her and she is offended because he used to treat her well and because Neris dance partner mocked him saying she will tell her father again.Neris didn't laughed or glared at Angharad and the fact she won't show reaction infuriates Angharad even more.(She won't go down to your level,brat)In the middle of the class,Angharad left crying even though nothing have seemed to happen and there was one boy left.Riannon was the only girl without a partner yet and the boys looked as of they didn't want to be her partner.The class was interrupted when a servant arrived.Some children noticed he had a white ribbon on his uniform and that it was a symbol of mourning,so someone in the class lost a relative.The servant said he came from the Bertha family and Riannon recognized him and got nervous,leaving class with him.The children who were closest to the door and had a good hearing told their partners what they heard and they told others.By the end of the class,all the first years knew that Count Bertha and his heir died in a carriage accident.Now the second son Inherited the title and Riannon became a real lady.It all happened in the same way Neris remembered.(ngl,a interesting twist)

A week later,Riannon returned from home and all students were comparing about how she is acting so confident,how she arrived in a four horse carriage with the family crest and is wearing golden buttons with the family crest and a precious necklace of diamonds and pearl to class.(Try to seem less happy,Nona XD otherwise people will say your father planned this)

There was no one who was happy for her.High ranking students didn't like how she became their equal and low rankings didn't like how she became higher than them.She has many relatives and even though they didn't really liked how she pretend to be close and only associate with children of the same station or above,they supported her because she was still a granddaughter of a count,but after the letter incident no one pretends anymore.One girl tells Idalia she should tell riannon something and she would stop being so confident but Idalia gives an embarrassed smile saying there's nothing she can do.

Someone asks if she really had to go this far and when she asks what happened,they say to forget it and that it's not worthing talking with her.Another boy out of the group says she disturbed the whole class atmosphere and said she is so loud that only her voice echoes on the hall.(It's true XD there were so many times where it said Alecto voice could be heard all over the hall,all over the class,the cafeteria,the girl is a chatterbox)She can't understand why they're treating her like this and soon she finds herself completely alone without a single friendly face to share what happened.

Back at the hideout,Neris asks Cledwyn to make sure the rumors she wrote, spread around the students and to make everyone think Alecto is the source.He knows she was the one who instigated all this discord and the reason Neris knew people would turn against Alecto is because something similar happened in the past.In the past,when Riannon became a lady,she had a good reputation so people were not so openly displeased as now.When Neris became an Elandria people also starting being so open about the bullying.The thing is,people talked a lot about her in the past and now it's riannon.They talked so much and know it's better to shut up now,so even hearing their names would bring displeasure.Thats why they told alecto off,because even though they have no intention of pleasing riannon,they can't afford to get on her bad side since her father is more powerful than Alecto and Alecto is always the ones who remind them of Riannon situation and brings trouble,even though they are tired of hearing the same thing everytime.The same thing didn't really happened to Neris since everyone knew how Valentin Elandria hated Neris since she came to the academy(that would be in six months time),but after she was adopted she wasn't hated so openly up front,but in a more vulgar way behind her back.

She also asks him for a piece of land where no one goes through to do something.He also tells her the seeds she asked for are almost here.Neris is surprised by how easily he agrees with her even though it would take years for her to start working to him and repaying her debt.But he really is trusting her and taking her word for granted even though he does asks some questions here and there out of curiosity.She also once again is taken aback for a moment by how pretty he is before thanking him and leaving.Cledwyn likes misteryous things and in his boring school life,this misteryous girls is really something.His gaze remained on her for a long time after she left.

Alecto has been ignored for days by her class and confronts a shy Idalia asking for an explanation.A boy called Heath likes how Idalia is pretty,kind and of good family and stands up for her since Idalia never speak her own mind.telling her that they know she told Benny's secret even though she trusted her.Benny had a crush on Heath,but she knew he liked Idalia and asked advice to Alecto.Then another person said that Yuna,who had been glaring daggers at Alecto lately,had locked herself in her bedroom after she confided in Alecto about her weight issues and she babbled about it to others .Alecto says she never told those things to anyone.

It was because she was annoyed by how tactless those kids are.She can't understand how this is all happening and some of her classmates threaten her and thrown ink in her clothes.(I really like how this time a bully will pay for something she actually did to others in this timeline)

Neris and Diane are doing homework in Diane's dorm and Diane tells all about what happened since Neris doesn't take that class.Shes very excited that Alecto os being bullied since she always badmouthed Diane and Neris because of their families situations,even in front of them.Neris agrees with her and asks Betty about the place she lives saying it's for a homework.The place where Betty used to live has many medical herbs and this made Neris satisfied.When she used to be around Lady Mariah,she suddenly had a doctor who made a very good medicine to her joint pain and he started asking for more money everytime.Neris heard another doctor complaining about him and saying the medicine was created by his assistant.Neris told this to lady Mariah and she laughed saying she did heard he had a Mistress in that land so she can guess who the boy is.She was also looking for a way to get the medicine in another way.Lady Mariah expelled the doctor for another reason and he was replaced by his Illegitimate son(his assistant)that was scared and told them how he grew the medicine.Neris plans to sell that medicine so she can have her own funds to execute not only her revenge,but protect her mother.

The next day,Prince Abelus happens to see Alecto arguing with Neris saying she lied about her feet hurting just so she won't dance with Alecto whobhad to dance alone.Abelus can guess what happened since Count Bertha is powerful than Count Islani and is put a pressure.Bertha also really loves his daugther while Islani is more cold towards them.Abelus had a a hard time remembering who neris was until it hit him it was Nelruision relative he met before.He couldn't really stop looking at neris because something about the way she moves feels familiar,but he wouldn't know it's because she moves just like the imperial family due to extensive training.When he sees her icy expression he suddenly thinks she looks like older sister Camille,but dismisses this idea before leaving,since how could a knights daughter have something in common with a imperial princess?He misses the part where Neris says to riannon she could have said something inside but decided to follow her like a coward while she is alone because she thinks Neris is weak and that's why no one likes Alecto.(she trowed her words back at her,she had said it multiple times to Neris and Riannon)

Some of the ranks in a minor quiz were fixed.Megara congratulates Idalia who got good grades despite being worried and Idalia is mesmerized by Megaras humbleness that got the first place this time.Idalia once again admires the smile of her loyal friends that already told her she had no intention of fighting over boys with her.(Idalia reminds me of this character.She thinks Megara is perfect and can't do wrong,and keeps simping for her)

Idalia had a secret pride in herself since she was educated so well,but once she arrived at the academy there were many students who did better than her that "shouldn't.Neris Truide was one of them.She believed it was weird of kids that spent their days playing in the fields or taking care of sheeps,doing better than a lady like her who received the best education.Another thing she is worried is because she always sees Neris "following" Nelruision,and since they are distant relatives,if neris grow up to be even prettier and smarter than she is now,she might actually snatch him away.She already heard boys mistaking her coldness for elegance and saying she is pretty,and she knows she is Sir Sheridan favorite student and from what Megara told her,she is already getting preferential treatment from sir Voltaire and that how she is getting well in school.Idalia often let's herself in secret illusions about growing up to be just a beautiful lady like Natasha Grunehals and marry Nelruision.She knows that for this to happen,many other ladies of better families will have to be excluded from the marriage negotiations.Someone like Neris who got in the academy by sheer luck could never be like her who was raised to be a perfect hostess.

It's social studies glass and sir Sheridan is teaching how to make flowers arrangements when Riannon starts mocking Neris asking if she picked those flowers since everyone knows she is in a academy program that students receive some money helping teacher with chores.Neris doesn't give her attention and when Riannon calls her a clown,Diana says it takes one to recognize another XD Even Alecto joins and says she is noisy and that's why even truide is ignoring her.(whoa really you to talk?)

Diane knows her family offered to pay for neris tuition and give her an allowance,but Neris refused even to take a maid.Diane was sad,but also proud of what Joyce called "Neris nobility",the way she doesn't brag and acts dignified.She asks Neris who really picked the flowers and she said it was some older students that helped in order to attend a gathering Sir Sheridan will host.Every year,Sir Sheridan introduces his favorite students to the ladies that were his favorite and that are now well stablished women in society and so they take care of each other.Diane is satisfied seeing Riannon,Alecto and Angharad faces because if sir Sheridan told this to Neris,he probably plans to introduce her there someday.Even Alecto sister worked hard to enter the "Sheridan division" but never had success.Neris gaze goes to megara table where she's sitting with an innocent looking Idalia laughing about something.Neris turns her head when idalia looks at her and Idalia forgets that their eyes met instantly.

Idalia grew up hearing she was kind and so did Neris.Everyone either cursed,beated of complained about neris but idalia never did so.She totally ignored Neris as if she was invisible and to a Neris who was being tortured everyday,this treatment was good.The only time Idalia took notice of Neris was in in graduation.She gave Neris a letter in which she said she always wanted to be friend with her but couldn't because of Megara and that when they met again,they should greet each other.This sounded absurd even to Neris and made her have a hunch that Idalia is not so kind as she seems.She didn't thought long about it though,there was no need.Sometime after,Nelruision asked Neris to get engaged to Prince Abelus and since she felt guilty refusing since they took her in after her mom's death,she accepted even though she thought I was shameless since it was known that Natasha Grunehals has been dating Abelus since the academy to her mid twenties.Everybody expected her to become the future Empress and once she took notice of Neris,she took action.Idalia had sent her a letter saying Natasha wanted to meet Neris and perhaps would be better if she went to.She said she would be there too and the exhausted Neris felt she deserved Natasha verbal abuse.She went to the adress.It was a far manor but who she found there was Eustace Grunehals,Natasha little brother who kidnapped Neris.He planned to give her a poison that would make her mute and then sell her as a slave,but Neris managed to escape and was scolded by Duke Elandria for getting herself in that situation.

Idalia kept sending her letters saying she didn't knew that this would happen,but Neris didn't believe she wasn't aware of it.In a party,the fair and elegant Idalia finally cornered Neris and with tears in her eyes apologized saying she had no idea and if Nelruision helped her escape.Seeing the spark in her eyes Neris guessed Idalia and herself shared the same type of love for Nelruision and that Idalia knew too.Natasha certainly knew too that Idalia was fake and always wanted to remain in her high horse,that's why she chosen her.Neris had to pay Idalia back but the tricks she used so far won't do anything to someone of her status.But there was another student with power enough to ostracize Idalia.

At night,Neris is scolded by Natasha for being out late since is her duty as a council student member to patrol the school.Neris gains some points with her when she thanked her for helping her since she was lost and this wasn't the building sir Sheridan had assigned for the students rehearsal of the quiz.Natasha likes being complimented and said that Neris is cute and looks more like Nelruision than his blood sister,but that because she doesn't know that while Nelruision and Valentin look like polar opposites,they have the same cruel personality.Neris says she wishes she was as pretty as Natasha and that megara is the real cute one since everyone says she will marry a high ranking men someday.Natasha is confident in her beauty but there's no guarantee that Abelus will look only at her,so she needs to trample on everyone who is a threaten.Neris,Idalia and Megara are the great beauties that arrived this year and if Natasha wasn't so fixated in elandria marriage negotiations,she would notice that the woman who was really going to steal Abelus from her was Megara.Natasha saw how her father used all kind of excuses to sent his beautiful wife to the countryside so he could spent time with new girls,so she doesn't have illusions about marriage.Natasha wouldn't suspect from first graders so Neris had to plant seeds of suspicious for the right time.

After going to the garden she heard iron sounds and smelled blood.She hide herself and heard the voices of Ralph,Abelus knight;and Joseph,Nelruision knight that had hold her while Valentin have her poison.Right now they are still students who tuitions are being paid by the bisto and the elandrias so they can grow as loyal knights of the heirs and Neris as amazed that even now Abelus and Nelruision are doing their tricks to someone.Neris can hear them saying they're looking for someone who did a lot of hideouts around the school and she noticed there is a bush surprisingly still that would probably be found it they kept looking.Neris made her footsteps known and screamed as if she was really scared once the knights pointed their swords at her.Joseph recognized her and neris lied about knowing his name too because she saw him with Nelruision.Ralph reproaches her for being there and she apologizes saying it's because the first years have a quiz close by and that Natasha already had said the same to her too.She promised to go back to where she was supposed to be and make sure to tell her classmates to go straight home too.This made them look at each other and leave since Neris made them believe there would be other classmates walking around here and Neris could say she met them just as she said Natasha name.

Once they leave she goes to the bush and wonders if the person inside is still alive since its covered in blood.Once his eyes open,she realizes it's Cledwyn.He tries to call Neris name but the words get lost.Neris gives him a leaf to much that will keep him away and helps him stand up.When he wakes up,he is in Ren bedroom being tended by him and Neris.He already knew Ren had positive feelings towards Neris,but compared to the grumpy way Ren treats him,the way he treats Neris is more like a dog in the way he wags his tail and is so readily to do as she tells.They glare at ecah other before Ren leaves and he is astonished a dog is treating his mistress employer this way in such a arrogant way.XD

Neris reproaches him for glaring when it was Ren divine power that saved his life.During this convo,he notices that he and Ren are the same since he is always obeying Neris without thinking twice.He thought it was just because he found her amusing,but now he thinks it's not and even if he tries to rebel,he can't.Cledwyn is astonished as to how low neris thinks of herself and from his reports,he knows her bedroom is a place without any decorations as if she is someone ready to leave at any moment and that knows no one will mourn it.When he heard her voice in the bush,he actually thought she would turn him to Nelruision since she is smart enough to get her revenge even without him,but she surprised him.

Neris asked what happened and Cledwyn tells her he was betrayed by someone he trusted.Neris asks if it was his maternal grandfather,Marquess Hudis Tiffian,what shocks Cledwyin because she was right.She lies that its because he kept murmuring his name in his sleep but it's because in the past,the Marquess was very influential since his land connected maindulante to the empire and he was the Grand duke grandfather,and Neris tried to recruit him for the Elandria and she happened to hear a conversation between him and Joseph talking about someone that they tried to kill in the past.She wonders how Cledwyin survived in the past and why he forgave his grandfather.

Meanwhile,Megara is walking back to her dorm with Idalia in a bad mood.Since Neris didn't went to the rehearsal,the pranks she told her followers to prepare,like putting a blade and ink to make a mess out of her in her desk didn't work,and Diane McKinnon that felt something was strange in the way they kept looking at the door,was excited that Neris didn't came since she guessed what happened.Without Neris,she was the one sir Sheridan gave all the praise but this only made her offended because she should have it all to herself and not because a knight daugther didn't came.

Mahradi Annim was being ignored by Megara and wants to get in her good graces again and came to talk to Megara saying he was studying in the library and Idalia was interested when he says that Nelruision knight suddenly left him to study alone and told him he met Neris Truide.He also made a slip of tongue saying he knew Megara had a rehearsal today and the students passing by felt sorry fro megara who was being followed by a creepy,but Megara only smiled and asked him more about when and where Joseph Karen had met Neris Truide.As they left,she told Idalia with a wicked smile she needed to know where Neris dorm room was.

(I need to add,I really liked chapter 48.Not only because we got a better close view to Megara's cruel mind,but also because we had a bigger development to Neris relationship not only to Cledwyn,that is something I was was missing,but also to other characters.She admitted to herself that Cledwyn and Diane were the only people who could help her and she also trusted Ren enough to let him in the fact she has a relationship with Cledwyn)

Neris acompanied Cledwyn to his dorm before going to hers.She is wearing Cledwyin coat because he said that the one who Ren gave her was stained too.

She notices there's someone in the dormitory,hides and sees the man who helped in her kidnapping.She assume at the time it was a servant of the grunehals,so she is curious why would he be here now.She inspects her own bedroom and finds the social studies test hidden there.

The next day,the student council members are summoned to investigate what happened.They were taking about how the first graders of this years are troublemakers like never seen before, when Megara and Idalia arrive.Abelus doesn't have interest in kids but he is satisfied when megara keeps glancing at him because nwlruision is the one who always gets attention for his looks.Megara says she heard what happened and she don't want to say something bad about a friend,but everyone can tell it's a lie and Nelruision guesses the name that will come from her mouth.Neris is called to the office and the students council members who haven't seen her yet are bewildered seeing her purple eyes and her powerful presence.They ask her where she was last night and if someone can prove that she really was in her bedroom.When Natasha asks wh

This rubs Nelruision and Abelus in the wrong way since it makes them wonder if she saw or helped Cledwyn last night.Abelus tell her about the crime and that she is a suspect.A servant was sent to her dorm and the other students are told to leave the office.Megara was annoyed that idalia came with her just to see Nelruision because she is stupid enough to blurter something without meaning too,but is full of glee thinking she finally got Neris and Idalia is regretful that Nelruision didn't look at her.She leaves with her servant,the same one that kidnapped neris in the past and tried to frame her in the present.In the end,it was Idalia servant,not Natasha.Neris gazes at idalia and she gets scared but neris gaze soon goes back normal and she forgets it.She hesitated doing what megara said because it was something bad,but since neris existence is the most oddest and improper thing in the academy,she though it would justify her actions.Once this is done,she will go to the temple and pray a lot so she can repent and continue being the kind girl she is.

Basically,Idalia is ok with bullying ad long as she doesn't seem like the instigator and no harm comes her way.

Alone with Abelus and Nelruision,Neris is actually in despair because all her excuses were counting that Natasha servant put the papers there,but the servant being idalia proves that Natasha probably had less of a hand on it,while Idalia and Eustace Grunehals actively tried to sell Neris as a slave.

She soon recognizes that they wonder if she helped Cledwyin by the way the prince mentioned her being close to the building and interrogating her kinda harshly.She starts acting like she was wronged being the prime suspect and that she is scared because she never really did something like this.When they say she doesn't have a real alibi because she said she had a headache,she acts very embarrassed saying her period suddenly came so she came back to her office.Its a lie,but she actually used the blood from Cledwyn to stain one of her underwear so she would have an excuse when they searched her bedroom.The mood gets awkward because no girl would feel comfortable saying something like this to both of them and they know it.

In the hall,she meets the villainesses and megara apologizes saying she didn't want to suspect of her but she thought it was the right thing to do and that neris must have been happy to speak to the prince.Neris says she understands and calls megara a "model student",but this only sounds as a mockery to megara.Idalia asks if she is ok and flinches when neris gives her a big smile and said she was proven innocent and is thanks to her worries.This makes Megara suspects that the hypocrite idalia actually helped neris.Natasha tells them to leave and enris apologizes for causing trouble last night without menainf to and this makes Natasha annoyed because it reminds her of the conversation with neris when she mentioned megara would marry a high ranking men and she spent the night worried about it.Remember that Natasha was the sole rare beauty of the academy for many years and this year there's suddenly other younger prettier girls.Abelus calls the other girls to the office,calling idalia by her last name and megara by her first name and Neris says to megara that she must be happy she will be able to talk with his highness.(HAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Abelus and Nelruision inquire why megara thought neris stole the papers and she lied saying that one of her servants heard a school servant talking about something that was stolen from sir Sheridan and she thought it could only be the exams paper and it was her duty to inform them.Even though megara was of such a important family that she would certainly become a council student member in some years,this sounded ridiculous to natasha and she reproached idalia when she spoke out of turn saying that it's weird that neris always places first so she probably stole the papers and got rid of it after memorizing.Megara I'd angry that idalia is acting so guilty enough to turn them over and is pondering over Neris words,thinking that Idalia really betrayed their plan consciously or inconciously.Nelruision is unsatisfied that someone is messing with neris when even though she has different surname,he's happy to think of her as someone of his family(POLICE)

He is about to tell the knights to search their bedrooms when megara starts doing a pitiful expression to abelus and he is falling for it,much to Natasha annoyance.She tells them that the truth is that she guessed an exam paper was missing because she saw idalia sending her servant after sir sherridan the night before and she went to sleep on her dorm because she was scared of something.When she heard about sir Sherridan possessions being stolen she thought it could be idalia stealing the exams papers because she always says she is unsatisfied with her grades.She also admits it's her own fault for trying to cover for a friend turning other one to and everybody but Natasha and Nelruision actually bought her bullshit.The whole reason Megara sent Idalia's servant and called her to sleep in her dorm,is so she could pin the guilt on her if things went wrong.

Idalia is shocked that megara would make such a cold expression to her and lie like this.When the members ask her if it's true,megara presses her hand hard enough to hurt and gives her a smile that seems like encouragement from others but to idalia it only seems like "see what happens if you go against me".This makes idalia angry because even though megara family is more powerful,they are both daugthers of marquesses.

She tells the truth that Megara stealed it and told her to blame neris,but everybody sighs like they think she is lying.Between the calm and regretful Megara and the loud and scared idalia that has been acting as of she's guilty and giving excuses since she entered,it's decided that Idalia was the thief.

The next day,Diane is telling Neris the rumor that Idalia Kendall had stolen the exam paper and accused megara and several people,but no one seem to know Neris was one of the accused.Diane is astonished that things like the second student being jealous and framing the first student doesn't happen only in books,to which Neris since it is slightly wrong but right at the same time.Neris and Megara,the real first and second student,have been dealing with this since the past.When Megara was Abelus mistress,she involve herself in politics with abelus approval and when something went wrong,she blamed it all on Neris and everybody believed,so it was no surprise she would do it again once she feels threatened.

When a sad Megara arrives in the cafeteria,all the students that used to praise idalia for being nice start chastising her and consoling Megara,that pitiful says that Idalia was in a difficult position.Megara and Neris eyes met and they smile.Suddenly,the cafeteria becomes silent as Idalia enters alone and sits alone when usually she would always have friends around her.Heath,the boy who liked and that had talks of a possible marriage in her previous life looked like he would invite her but stopped when he gazed at megara smiley face.Idalia coughs a lot after eating but no one but her servant,Simon,help her.She can't handle the silence and the hateful gazes and leaves the cafeteria while megara chats happily with her many friends.

(As soon as they got into "trouble",Megara abandoned Riannon and Idalia that were her closest friends(followers).This incident will hopefully make others understand how ready she is to let anyone take the fall for her since we saw there's been some other kids she had asked to prank Neris.)

In the Zakaria library,Neris is studying for her exams while Cledwyn tells her the rumor that Idalia changed departments and will study theology.(This have the same energy of Freya becoming a nun XD)He keeps asking for neris attention,but she is concentrated and thinking how can he get the best grades when he doesn't doesn't study.In the end,he goes to the hideout and neris hears his voice and she can guess his chair has a communication device and that's why he pointed his sword to her on the first meeting.But now he is mindlessly sharing his secret with her and she is worried that she allied herself to a very naive person and is worried about his own security.When he cames back he gives her a letter informing that her mother would work as a temporary maid for Viscountess Parisher that she knows it's a very just noblewoman during this summer,so they wouldn't have to come back to Lopez,where with some luck,Baron Nain and Angharad wouldn't harass them.She is relieved and thanks him to which he says it's a birthday gift.She totally forgot it was her birthday because it was during the school year and her mother couldn't celebrate it with her,so for 20 years,her birthday was treated as a nuisance or a day to get briberies and no one ever congratulated her with a good heart.She couldn't even thank him properly again because it felt like something was blocking her throat.She felt moved because it has been so long since someone congratuled her sincerely and gave her something that made her happy and tries to convince herself that it's not a big thing for him to know that since he did a background check on her and whatever,but in the end,she let's the tender hearted girl she was show up and thanks him while showing a bright and sincere smile.

The reason Cledwyn gave her this was that it was a reward for saving his life since she didn't ask for anything,he gave her something she would need.He said to himself that was the only reason until he saw how the girl who always keeps her feelings hidden show a face with emotion like she is about to cry and he thought she looked cute like this.Seein her,he suddenly thought she might be suspicious of his intentions so he said it was a birthday gift because according to him then he would have a reason to gift her because it would be stranger to pretend he doesn't know it's her birthday when he knows(I wonder if he gifts all of his subordinates XD)

He thought that the unsure face and the timid smile she gave suited her more and couldn't understand why he felt sad it vanished soon.(I can't believe im giving a free pass for a sixteen years old crushing on thirteen years old,but well XD)

Back to her usual self,she asked Cledwyn how would she communicate with him in parisher.He said he would tell once she arrived.Neris was satisfied she would have a lot of time to make plans and is looking forward to the summer vacation with a sense of ease.

First timeskip coming in the next part.It's the second year in the academy to Neris and the first to Valentin Elandria,the villainess who murdered Neris in the past.

Question:
Is it a universal rule that the Female Lead can't possibly get her revenge without the help of a very powerful Man/Male Lead, who will fall in love with her because she is so "interesting"/Not Like Other Girls?
I am a sucker for "Revenge Against The Bullies Stories" + I like the Female Protagonist Nerys Truydd/Neris Truide for how assertive, bold, cunning and vengeful she is, but I really don't care about the privileged high-ranking Elite Male Lead who has easy access to an army, assassins, spies, huge network of information and a vast fortune.
And I always find it annoying when the (Royal) paranoid ML first threatens his FL with a sword and then gets impressed by her uniqueness in the 2nd Timeline.

Like Villainess Aria (The Villainess Turns the Hourglass), she is at her best when the ML doesn't appear or interfere with her life.

By the way, when Neris/Nerys is 12 years old, how old is actually the ML at that time in school?

Easiest solution: don't read.

And why wouldn't she use the powerful male if he offered? She knows her limitations and knows that she as a knight's daughter can't win against royals, so why not grab the offered arm?
