Basically, MC is a stand in for a white moonlight his boyfriend can’t forget about. His boyfriend owns(?) an entertainment company. One day, when he’s walking, he gets scouted by an agent at that company. They tell him to come try out for a role because he looks similar to the person they’re looking for. He’s intrigued and wants to know what his bf is doing so he goes. There, people who are scouted are given a picture and a description of the white moonlight. Only then did the MC realise he’s a stand in and the reason why his bf likes him in certain clothes, etc. He goes in, breaks up with his bf and move out. Because it’s all very last minute, he can only get a place that’s small and has little security. ML is his next door neighbor. MC realizes that ML doesn’t know about his bf’s actions and feel pity for him because he would be creeped out if some random guy he barely remember did that to him. Because of this, he has a filter on and thinks ML needs his protection ML is mixed race (mom is Russian) so even though his parents are very successful, in love and are overall great, he is discriminated by his grandparents. When he was young, his father had an accident that resulted in a health emergency. His parents had to go aboard for it and left him at his uncle/grandparents thinking that regardless of his race, they’re still his relatives and are more reliable than total strangers. However, he ended up severely abused by them and very traumatized. He was treated very poorly and eventually decided that it was safer to move out than stay with his relatives. He worked part time and stayed at his apartment (the one MC could only get last minute). He was also bullied in school because of 1. His cousins and 2. MC’s bf manipulated others in order to isolate him so he can be the savior. By the time his parents came back, the damage was done. ML became attached to the apartment due to his trauma.
