On the way to a company workshop, we fell into a world of immortal cultivators while still in the car. Those with spiritual roots and unique abilities were all called to join cultivation sects, living prosperously. But I, having neither spiritual roots nor special abilities, lived as an ordinary mortal for 50 years, complying with fate until my death. That’s what I thought. Until I regressed. https://www.novelupdates.com/series/a-regressors-tale-of-cultivation/ Discussion as of chapter 129: Spoiler I was really surprised by the direction this arc took. I was expecting the next arc to be an emotional redemption arc where he acted out from depression. This ending where they reunited and he got emotional catharsis was very sweet and the high point of the story (thus far). It is interesting to wonder where the next arc takes him
ch-10 The Palace of Heavenly Demons has killed several dozens of cultivators. Were they not able to loot any useable equipment from them?
All of them all martial artists, immortal cultivation energy doesn't work for them before they enter Five Origin stage in which way they can be cultivator. Even if they ignore how those pills are created, the cultivation pills that works for them are only the likes increasing longevity, strength, etc. Also the cultivation alchemy in this novel is either very low or creative. I mean there is almost no mention about high grade magical plants for alchemical ingredients. All pills are made by grinding numerous sapience being (human and sapience beast cultivator) regardless of their age and gender of their bloods and essences on batch then refine into better grade ingredients to be into pills. When you think again, all magical plants and beast in other cultivation story takes mind bogging long long time to mature like hundreds and ten thousands years. Unless they are able to live for very longtime and really need specific cultivation pills who the fuck wants to wait many years for that, anyone below Four Axis stage cultivation long dead before the plant mature. That ethical reason also to prevent MC for being drug addict and abuse pills to speed up their cultvation.
This novel has surprisingly low number of post. Probably because most that want to comment already leave them in translator's site? Anyway, I am curious about what will happen when the clone and real body are separated for thousands of years then regressed. Will both ego merge into one?
Avatar and clone in the story is just extension of the creator themself, the avatar and the original did not think they are separated beings even if both of them have different appearance or learn different cultivation methods. For MC tho is bit different Spoiler: Spoiler He is being who receive fate to regress / relive again and again, there is an avatar that diverging too much with main body that would be considered as separated being with their own identity such as Seo Li and gain new fate to be able to die. MC is jealous that Seo Li able to rest peacefully
stuck in chap 283, didnt feel reading again. gotta bank that new chap for some time after his respawn point get renewed in small poket world now he cant make a new run in his 2nd ark. this practically his 3rd ark now
Yeah I feel that, one chapter a day feels not enough for me. Funny in the past we were used with weekly chapter. Hence why I fried my brain by MTL it. Is it worth it? Heck yeah. RToC give me back the sense of wonder to xianxia novel, immersing myself to read it again and again. I love the way author portray the sense of wonder, awe, sorrow, sadness, anguish, tragic to not just MC but multiple characters as we find each of their stories. I also like the way author portray Spoiler: Immortal not just powerful dudes but as overwhelming beings that make every characters feels wonder and hopelessness, literally at their wits end if not worse Finally I love Seo Eun-hyun as character, even if he live in dog eat dog world he still refuse to consume pills made from sapient beings, of course it might feel hypocrite considering without his Fate and his regression ability he most likely die as mortal but when was the last time I read such Knight in Sour Armor trope, Zorian Kazinski maybe? Constant hardships, failures and suffering Actually MC indeed have prodigious talent, Spoiler: In Author Q&A there's version of MC who throw away self restraint for power, creating atrocities one after another as necessity for Devil Path, he speedrun cultivation and ascending to Blood Yin realm with just hundred years. Even current MC with his Vegan version of Ghost Path has make progress by leaps and bounds, he just biased view to Devil Path and thought it as abhorrent and repugnant because it's true, unless you're super talented you need to commit murder to progress
Buk Hyang Hwa and Seo Eun Hyun One of few couples that remind of Zhang Xiaofan and Bai Guo (Zhu Xian) Fate sometimes can be so cruel and merciless
Hello i am new to novel reading, i used to read manhwa ,manga but no manhua. Now after reading almost all the ones i like i've moved on to novels and for this i need you help because i don't want to read some crap chinese novels like mc is weak he gains a system and he steals from people rather than training on his own mc is always arrogant and all. So far i've read and enjoyed this novels: Martial god regressed to level 2 Level 4 human in ruined world Ascension through skills Return of Mount Hua sect Reincarnated Swordmaster(no mtl translation) A Regressor's tale of Cultivation And liked them all and mostly A Regressor's tale of Cultivation so i want to read cultivations novel which plot goes from mortal to immortal and i would prefer if the novel is like korean novels where mc doesn't steal or plunder power of others and builds his own power. So i would to like to request the seniors and veterans to suggest me novels according to my criteria.
As much as I love this novel the author himself stated that he wasn't good with female characters. I'd like to add to that, he's still not good with female characters. Or romance in general. Buk Hyang Wa is pretty boring. But she is the author's pet so she gets to stay. Hell she is all but confirmed to come back. The initial idea for buk hyang wa which was a tragic villain, a combination of Yuan Li, the seo hweol's nephew whose name I cannot recall and buk hyang wa herself was somewhat interesting but he abandoned it. The author also walked back whatever happened with Kim Yeon because he never really wanted Yeon to be with him but got pressured by the korean readerbase to do so. His vacillation caused the worst possible path between the two. And we only got the lightning girl whose name I again cannot recall only at her last chapter of existence. Then there was that whole situation with kang ming hee where it's the MC but it's also not the MC because the "clone is different tho". I think the author should just stop doing romance in general. It's really taking away from the story rather than adding to it. He's just not good at writing it.
