read the manhwa ch 3 and im confused. she's supposed to be a noble lady, has her own nice room, wears nice clothes, has a brother referred to as "young master", and yet the head maid treats her like shit in front of her master's even if they tell her no? i know she's the abused poor little MC, but how does her brother have a higher standing when they share the same parents (neither illegitimate, but if both are then why is the son treated like a young master?)
the job change also confuses me I have no idea what's going on anymore.
idk if bad translation or just plot holes this early on for the sake of drama

 

i just finished reading until chapter 18 and so far it's really interesting.

Spoiler: long story short

mc's name is eillet (or islet/aylet) rodelaine. she lived in count gillette's manor with her brother, frintz and her father, leonard. leonard rodelaine was once an elite alchemist from golden ivory tower, but left because he got sabotaged and chased by his superiors. he left the tower eventho he knows nothing about the world.

count gillette then scouted him and used the fact that he's a single father with two children to make a slave contract with him, so their family got place to live while leonard has to make potions for county in exchange.

our mc used to be an office worker and just before her last breath, she managed to join a mysterious afterlife insurance package and became it's very first subscriber. so, eventhough she got s level of difficulty (basically she's got into a novel called "regression until the world is saved" wherein the male lead would regress 70 times until he defeated the final boss and saved the world), she got some useful benefits from the insurance, for example, compulsory training period, growth buff and bonus cash.

when she first woke up, she immediately adjusted to her new life with the help of compulsory training period benefit. in conclusion, she decided to get stronger to defeat the last boss rather than depending on ml (bcs even if she helped him, there's possibility that the story would go as it is and she still needs to wait until he regressed 70 times before he defeated the last boss). she made her mind that she needs to be strong for her survival. one of benefits she got, she could access all the books she previously bought prior her death including the novel she's currently in.

after that, an annoying head maid (and her annoying daugther, nelly) came to eillet's room and ordered eillet to help the kitchen to embarrass her, but she managed to be skilled in cooking after she bought a job related buff that could increase specific skills (like cooking, farming, carpentry or alchemy). she could easily impress the strict head chef peisha, as she even wanted to make eilette her disciple. peisha even defended eillet from head maid.

not long after that, eillet also caught mrs isella's attention after she showed her tea brewing ability. eillet brewed tea for the workers in front of isella and after tasting her tea, isella decided to take eillet as disciple since working in kitchen is wasting her potential (and she even frontally exclaimed that unlike eillet, nelly has no talent). so both of them are fighting to make eillet their disciple.

on the same day, eillet went with frintz to their father's lab to get an ointment. previously when frintz came to see her, eillet noticed some whip wounds on frintz's palms. he got it after the young master couldn't got right answers on test so he vented it on frintz. unfortunately there's no ointment left as most the workers tend to steal it. again, eillet bought alchemy skill buff and tried to make healing potions by herself, but with lv 1 of alchemy skill she could only make some skin moisturizers and fragrant soaps.

leonard found his children sleeping after making stuffs with alchemy. unlike his superb alchemy skills, leonard's actually quite naive. he never thought about making products that could be used as beauty treatments. basically papa leo doesn't even know how the world works and for him, eillet's invention is something beyond him. he's pumped to teach eillet alchemy because for him, his daughter is a genius.

oh by the way, 120 million cash that she got was from her life insurance deposit prior her death. so, actually her death insurance wouldn't fall into her evil uncle's hand. and about her uncle family, they're basically trash, not only they took her in because of her parents' inheritance but they also mistreated her for years. even after she became independent they're still leeching her off and asking for money. good news for her, her mean cousin is failed again her uni entrance exams four times in row, her uncle got into a scam and lost a lot of fortune, meanwhile her aunt was sued after embezzling investment funds.

in og!story, og!eillet died inside a dungeon (possibly, together with bianca, daughter of count gillette who's became eillet bestfriend in current story). after reading her end in the novel, eillet decided to become a healer. in order to attain it, she needs to awaken her divine powers by praying sincerely once a day until a thousand times (so, she's obliged to pray every morning between 5am to 7am, if she misses three days in a row, she needs to back to the square one). after she finished her first prayer, some gods who watch over her gave her some replies to her prayer (including about her uncle's family miserable state). eillet also accidentally became the first believer of god of creation and will get two other powers when her divine powers awaken.

there's also bianca gillette, who became curious about eillet after hearing isella's story about her (eillet made a unique dessert for countess and her, and about papa leo boasts that eillet is genius while distributing soaps eillet made). right when bianca came to meet her, eillet (who get taunted by nelly after she saw eillet taught young master romdio a lesson for throwing tomatoes to the workers) baited nelly to shamelessly confess her desire to be the next countess. nelly even said it doesn't matter if she's a commoner bcs countess sandra was also a commoner in front of the countess herself. both nelly and her mom, the head maid, kicked out from the county for openly slandering the countess.

at that time, bianca knew it was eillet's cunning trick. she's actually thankful for eillet's action bcs that head maid was quite troublesome and hard to cut her since she's a head maid. just like that, bianca asked her mom to make eillet her playmate.

unlike her brother, bianca is smart and mature despite her age of ten. a lot of lady came back crying after being her playmate for three days, it's all bcs she has some criteria (has a good personality, knowledgeable, and has same taste as her) and all the young ladies couldn't handle the way she plays dolls (her "taste" is playing a wife who caught her husband cheating and torturing him).

just by watching how eillet handles nelly, bianca already likes her personality. when they met to play and picked a book to read, eillet impressed her after choosing a bible to properly understand literature. lastly when they play dolls, eillet exceeds her expectations. not even eillet became scared by her, eillet even twisted the plot and made the torture story even more dramatic. because of that, bianca really thinks that eillet is a friend she's been looking for all this time. btw, bianca also deemed her brother useless and not fit to be the next lord.

some time after, both of them went to pick a new book in library. turns out that book's the door to open a dungeon. in ogstory, probably this is when bianca and eillet died, but this time eillet is capable enough to clear the dungeon by herself. the dungeon boss is a necromancer, so eillet's divine power is really useful. she used a lot of divine powers that knocked her unconscious for two days after that. both eillet and bianca agreed to keep everything happened in dungeon a secret.

eillet's awakening made most of people in temple excited since it seems like god's themselves have descended from heaven. including ml is curious about it. just as someone mentioned above, ml has all the seven stigmas. so it's rare for someone to exceed his divinity.

after eillet recovered, together with bianca, she employs the remaining undeads to farm. if she could secure her own materials to make potions, she'll make lots of money and it'll be easier for her father too. she could easily handle the undead with a passive skill she earned after defeating ardimant the necromancer. after all time's faster inside dungeon, eillet could harvest her crops faster, and with the spatial magic bag she acquired in dungeon they could easily carry the loads of herbs. bianca also wants to start organizing the way to distribute eillet's potions asap, she's already made a business plan.

on top of that, the gods granted eillet's wish and gives her some other benefits. now she could access all the book she had read even though she doesn't buy it, she could change the genre of books she's currently in with cash, she also could gives buff to characters with crystal above their head. eillet started looking for someone with crystal and found her brother with it. at that moment she witnessed her brother being abused by romdio.

his sword instructor doesn't actually looks like a sword instructor, and he's a shit too. he allowed romdio to use violence toward frintz under the pretense of sparring. frintz who usually just let romdio does as he pleases, stands and changes his demeanor when romdio intends to hurt eillet. romdio who's agitated by this almost hit him again until the angry bianca came. she reprimanded both her brother and his instructor for using violence in sword practice, bianca's planning to tell everything to her mom.

when they're back in their lab, eillet rushes to make a healing potion. she told frintz that she's not angry with him while cursing romdio. eillet's leveling up while making potion and finally she successfully makes a chocolate flavored healing potion. frintz naturally said that eillet is awesome, but eillet also told him that he's the awesome one and encouraging him to get his revenge himself while she secretly invested 11 million cash to give him a growth buff (bcs he has a potential to be the greatest swordmaster in the whole continent).
