How dangerous is doing stunts with a bike? It looks cool af for sure when you do it, but in case a person wants to learn some of that, it'd be pretty risky right? Saw a tons of post on my fyp today and it's been on my mind.
I mean, I've fractured my spine, cracked my head open, and bled more times than I care to count. It's fun though. Especially cruising around town and just hitting anything that looks like a spot, and dirt trails are the best.
I ride a mountain bike and solo most of the time. The best advice I can give is never give in to peer pressure and just do what you feel confident doing. That said, the most injuries I've had were gashes on my shin, calves and ankles from missing the pedals. Those nasty sharp bolts dig quite easily into the skin. Another thing people underestimate is dehydration from long rides. I often get splitting headaches after a ride because I wasn't hydrating enough. Btw, try watching Redbull Rampage. Those guys have titanium balls.
If I had any doubts, I'm convinced now after reading the response just below yours Say no more, biking stunts are not for me. You've successfully scared me into keeping to my bicycle(without stunts on that too) I think I will, watch Redbull Rampage. It seems I don't have the guts to do any thing beyond going a little faster anyway, so I'll satisfy myself by watching other people do all the cool stuff
I once rode on the back of a dirt bike with a friend. Fun as hell. Another dirt bike I was on had enough power and speed to make it impossible for me to breathe
