    A situation gives you where you would need to choose between the 2 options:

    [1] Sacrifice your loved one to save the world or;
    [2] Sacrifice the world for your loved one

    Option 1: The decision to sacrifice one's loved one for the world might demonstrate a strong sense of duty, altruism, and willingness to make sacrifices for the greater good. While;
    Option 2: choosing to sacrifice the world for one's loved one may reflect deeply held values of loyalty, love, and prioritizing personal relationships over broader concerns.

    I've known each and everyone are different. That's why I'm curious which you would pick and why.

    Ngl it depends on what you mean by loved one? Is it just a relative, or does it have to be someone I know well?

    Also can I choose which loved one dies or no?

    Moral dilemmas. It’s for people who are bored and those who likes to troll others.

    They are both wrong choices. Expecting the correct answer out of only wrong choices is a practice in lunacy.

    I will sacrifice the person who tells me that the world can be "saved" by sacrificing a loved one. One less crazy people in the world...

    1 what is this loved person?
    2 how much does the love matter to me?
    3 what is meant by sacrificing the world?
    4 where/how do I and my lover life when the world is destroyed?
    5 why don't you just elaborate more if you truly want to make people evaluate their beliefs/emotions/personality?
    6 how can I have a strong sense of duty when I sacrafice the person I loved?
    7 how can being part of a cycle of death be a greater good?
    8 @Psy0 you are absolutely correct because knowing that "good" is relativ and memetic makes moral dilemmas obsolete.

    Sacrificing the loved ones means billions of people can be saved just for a couple, even though all the people are strangers to me. But it is the greater good. The world can continue.

    I believe it is a logical answer, just looking at the numbers. Somehow it's easier to look at numbers and I don't have such big attachments. Yes, I have relatives, who are the best. No, there isn't really anyone besides them. Somehow, all my thoughts are mostly occupied by stupid stuff, instead of important life matters.

    The lives of the many outweigh the lives of the few. If at all possible, however, I'd rather give my own life before i gave theirs.

    I could sacrifice myself to save the world, but asking me to sacrifice my loved ones for the world is a big no no. What's the point in saving the whole world when your loved ones dies for it? The world would became meaningless at that point.

    Depends on which loved one it is. For a few, I would be okay with sacrificing them for the world. But my sisters and my dad are a separate matter.

    Without them, the world holds no meaning to me. They are my universe, so giving up the world for them is an easy task

    Obviously the second.

    For some people, I know that I may sound crazy or selfish, but why would I sacrifice my family or loved ones for the sake of strangers I don't even know? So they can be grateful to me? Or so they regard me as their hero? No, thanks. I have a very small world which only consisted of the people I care about. If the world ends, those strangers can save their beloved lives while I save mine. You shouldn't expect to be helped all the time, no?
