I also think that is one of the possibilities, and that ML actually know how to wield magic from the start.. As both Yul and Kal have the biggest amount of mana, I think the imprint doesn't really effected them thus ML might remember everything as for Yul, she might have foreseen future with magic.
A ML who very likely has been oppressed, abused and tortured doesn't want violent bloody Revenge + getting the bloody Throne but instead seeks Justice and wants a simple peaceful life???!!! That's a first, I would say!!!!! Does Kal falls in the category of 'ML pretending to be clueless, naive and tame but secretly and sneakily fools + dominates his mistress the FMC'? It has become very popular trope dynamic especially with the 'leash'.
FMC isn't his mistress or anything. The two are on equal levels but ML has more magic then her. They were 'born' together due to the magic tower's experiments and it's hinted that the two are human and knew each other since they were kids but only the ML might remember. The two have a very childhood friend type relationship. ML isn't naive or clueless and doesn't pretend to be. He's just passive until FMC is involved. Tbh from the spoilers given so far plus the MTL Webtoon, it's kinda clear that even FMC can't control him but he's trying to listen to her more. He's just himself and doesn't hide his true self much but he does make efforts to change into what FMC wants or likes in the only way he know—by studying from books. Their dynamic is very childhood friends to lovers imo and it helps both are on equal level.
New theory, as some comments said ML and MC seem to have met as children so it's possible that they're kidnapping children from the streets and performing experiments on them instead of creating being from mana like they claimed. What if MC if the OG FL's sister or smth? if she's actually human then this could explain their similarity in appearance.
Yeah honestly that was my thought too considering how Kal talked about Yul staying away from the Tower as kids but having no other choice, them being on the streets they had to. Kal also might have memories of before considering the first thing he said was what did the tower do to him. Eh different situation compared to Death is the Only Ending and Eclise were the power imbalance between him and Penelope became a massive issue. were that's more applicable. Like Eve fully expected to be murdered by Mikaelis in the OG timeline for her families actions, its why she drank poison because she thought she was getting a brutal execution. She was fully aware of her families shitiness and knew a rebellion was inevitable and originally actively rejected the homunculi system by refusing to have a knight but she also didn't have the power to make any worthwhile changes, she was noticed by several homunculi before for her stance and for being a genuinly nice person. It's so hilarious to me that Eve doesn't know that her upcoming marriage to a foreign nation was what triggered the damn rebellion. And it was Mikaelis who won the rebellion and who said he said she should've chosen him as her knight. Eve was the catalyst for it. She does and when he is originally sceptical of her in the new timeline, she states her intentions and plans to Mikaelis (who she knows is the King of Homunculi who will gain his own power in his own time and could probably break the bond in the future), which is to gain power and get homunculi some fucking rights in originally subtle ways like improving conditions but also allies on her side for the long term goal. Like the whole story is Eve trying to gain power to change the system in the first place which she does and its probably better for the long term, considering the amount of shit we see Eve try to get done. (Also its implied Mikaelis feelings for her persisted throughout the timeline than it just being the bond)
Aside from Our tyrant became young, this is the only interesting webtoon among the ones that were released recently. @Sara0jan thank you for all the juicy spoilers
Didn't Everose's evil jealous White Lotus sister Rosenite actually tricked/forced her into drinking poison in the 1st timeline? I personally don't believe in the fairy tale/myth of a Not Like The Other Royal Prince or Princess changing the imperial system from the inside. In the OG Mikaelis managed to abolish the Slavery of his breed, the monarchy and dethrone/kill the ruling Royal Family. But it's more correct to say he replaced them. In the 2nd timeline the shitty Emperor Father is still alive on top, Rosenite being easily forgiven and the FMC Eve still keeps her status + old/new privileges. Don't care much about the older sister Bridget being the Main Antagonist. But that is the common popular Trope of this Genre where the Special FL becomes a beloved Queen being forever supported by a lovestruck powerful/mighty crazy ML.

Oh my goodness! I freaking knew it while I was reading the recent spoilers of @Sara0jan. I thought that she must be related to them as they kept on mentioning how the MC looks similar with OGFL and how the father suddenly mentioned that she looks like OGFL's mother. How heartbreaking it must be when they find out that their daughter was experimented to be a pair and was no longer regarded as a human.
Well I guess that answers the question if they were really made from mana stones because with Yul being Estella's sister and the earlier scene with Yul and Kal as kids on the streets and Kal's reaction upon waking up. I love vindication, we all fucking called it. Also kudos for whoever called out Yul and Estella being sisters. So do we get any expansion with lore into this whole process with the Tower with using kids as experiments? It was mentioned Lianthus who is Pernan Demetras (Estella's father pair) basically hasn't really aged at ALL which I'm curious about. Kal also is implied to retained his memories from before the experimentations and by extension knew Yul as well. (I'm not 100% sure if Yul remembers parts or if that was just Kal's) Kal knows how to use magic, knows the value of money and the town he and Yul were in. Do we learn more about his relationship with Yul before and why he is potentially so attached to her? Anyone know roughly where the synopsis starts with Kal going nuts after Yul doing her own thing and leaving him, Or what Kal and Yul's endgame is?
Series/Spoiler discussion So, how did MC end up (presumably) in the slums? Was she an illegitimate child? I'm still confused with ML. A few here are under the impression he just wants a normal life with MC but he is so hostile with everyone. Why is that? I was initially not worried with OGFL but the part where MC gets to have a talk with the father and her questioning events of the OG story set up a red flag in me. Also bonus question/spoiler requests For Estella and the 3 OGLIs, the 2nd Prince whom I presume is the 2ML, Experiment #3 Lav(? is his last appearance at that party after meeting up with MC?)
Spoiler: Spoiler I am a little confused I looked only at the last chapter and MC refers to some Count and Countess (of Sears?) as mother and father and she has also brother Keith but Estella surname is Demetrice and as of now it did not show she has a brother ?? but perhaps it's because it's MTL ...
