(Demon king here refers to the contractor of the great devil) 82 – To make the demon king curious, Catherine deliberately cut off the conversation with the reason time is up. The time to feed marble that Catherine took is too long, making the knight who was in charge warns her not to fell into the demon king’s seducement, which Catherine respond with calm that she is skillful enough not to fell into the trap. Mars brought up that she like him so much that it would cause trouble breathing but Catherine defended herself saying the contract they make later have a much deeper bond than blood, so of course she likes him. Mars concerned when did he say that, which Catherine reply it was the future him and also mention that the future him would take good care of Catherine even if she reincarnated as a worm or a pine tree. Mars looked at Catherine with great disbelief. After that moment, Catherine request to hug Mars. Since Mars don’t do contracts with human (Mars actually did make a contract with another human when he was young but it was just out of curiosity and eventually the human died because of war). That night, the subjugation team that was on their way to their home take a break on Iterana Fortress. Catherine will meet Lilith tomorrow and wondered what kind of danger Lilith was in. What if Catherine didn’t succeed? She listed several regretful things if she’s fail, that is: 1. She can’t meet Cesare 2. She can’t spend her money 3. She can’t touch the fur of her kitty 4. She can’t take revenge on Eugene Seeing that if she will die, she’ll die anyway. So Catherine decided to harass Eugene before she’s dying (it’s not confirmed yet) using turkey feathers from the kitchen. She then ask Mars permission to go to Eugene. But as time goes on, the laughter can’t be heard anymore since he learned perfectly to stop the tickle. Eugene said that he would gladly accept all harassment and making guess which archdevil that Catherine looking for. And he guessed right, it’s Lilith. He told Catherine that Lilith is the woman with weasel mask. It turns out Lilith was here all the time. As Catherine want to walked away, Eugene expressed his grateful for meeting Catherine and hope that they can meet in the afterlife (the way Eugene said it as if they really going to meet each other again to the point she can’t move her feet) (damn, I felt the chill). Istg, the storyline is so complex to the point I have to read it multiple times to summary all of them. The events happened in the novel in short : Spoiler Catherine was the apocalypse herself. Agreed. The way he laughed after she said she knew he didn't show almost felt like he got caught about something or that it was set up for some reason - maybe even toying with her to see how far she'd go for him since she has a messed up personality.
