    Altered Carbon
    2018 ‧ Cyberpunk ‧ 2 seasons
I finished both seasons and have to say 2nd season was better, well maybe its cuz ending of any series is always good, quite emotional and sentimental lol. it was worth it.
I like the world that it portrayed much more than the plot. Its like GOT for me, i didn't like the plot everywhere but i loved the overall world that GOT portrayed.
But i will not recommend this series as a detective series, for that kdrama are just too OP.
This series is more for fun, thrill, action, detective also and an awesome cyberpunk world where humans have surpassed by far and a grand picture of worlds and planets emerge. It got emotion, drama, friendship, everything.

    Info:
More than 300 years in the future, society has been transformed by new technology, leading to human bodies being interchangeable and death no longer being permanent.
Takeshi Kovacs is the only surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order.
His mind was imprisoned for centuries until impossibly wealthy businessman Laurens Bancroft offers him the chance to live again.
Kovacs will have to do something for Bancroft, though, if he wants to be resurrected. Bancroft's request of Kovacs is to solve a murder -- Bancroft's.

Personally i enjoyed the world shown in here.

In my opinion, a really good mystery and i liked the ending. It was well done. Not bored at all. So you should give a try.
    A murder mystery.

I prefer the original 1974 movie adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.

They Shoot Horses, Don't They? Official Trailer #1 - Bruce Dern Movie (1969) HD

They Shoot Horses, Don't They ? (1969) [HD] - Sydney Pollack

Holy shit, this movie. I watched it, then read the book, and now here I am watching the movie again. They're both great. I think the book does a better job at showing Gloria's depression and nihilism (no shade to Jane Fonda, she's amazing), but the movie really shows how grueling and inhumane the dance marathons were. Honestly, for me the movie is as hard to watch as Requiem for a Dream; something about watching people suffer really gets me, even if it's just a movie.

A film I wish you would have mentioned is Punishment Park, from 1971. It's one of the earliest examples of a faux-documentary film. It follows various people associated with 60's countercultural movements (hippies, black panthers, feminists) as they are forced to choose between a long prison sentence or a shot at freedom in, you guessed it, Punishment Park. It's a really good movie, and touches on a lot of really prescient and relevant topics such as injustice and police brutality. It seems like something right up your alley, and I think the film (and the other work of director Peter Watkins) could make for an interesting video.

You mentioned The Running Man, but there's a more apt King/Bachman story with the same ending and theme as Horses and Rollerball, and it's The Long Walk. It's also a televised state run event, but it's open to volunteers and the prize is literally your greatest wish granted, but in the end the process of competition, of walking without end while others die around you, shatters the winners mind and he can't even perceive that he has won. The prize is meaningless.

Good movie for time pass. i enjoyed all the monsters lol. Was a good fun time pass. And unexpected ending, at least for me. I don't watch too much horror, only sometime, rarely. This is survival btw.
