Haha i like the tags, they're funny. Overview of the first arc: Spoiler the mc wakes up in a closed room with 9 other ppl. there is also one other 'person' but he's wearing a goat mask. Goat man tells the people that they have all been taken to partake in a game. Everyone is upset since they have been kidnapped, with one as a lawyer and another as a police stating this is unlawful and GM (goat man) will be punished for it. GM kills one man which forces the other 9 ppl to listen and to partake in game. He introduces himself as 'Mortal Goat' and has them play a a 'spot the liar' game, so everyone is force to narrate their story before coming to this room. Of the 9 remaining people, there is a doctor, lawyer, police officer, prostitute, psychologist, web novel writer, teacher, gangster, and swindler (mc). MC figures it out later and beats the game, then escape. once they are out of this enclosed room, the 9 find out they seemed to have been transported to a bizarre realm---the sky is red, the sun deep red, and there is a dirty smell in the air. They are greeted by another masked man (Mortal Dragon) who tell them this is a place where anyone (but the masked people) can become a god. But if they want to leave, to collect 3600 'dao' in 10 days. Dragon Man gives the 9 people 4 'dao' and lets them explore this weird city. The way to get more 'dao' is to win from the games that the masked people give. But to play those game, u must give dao as a entry fee, the number of dao depends on each host. if you don't have dao, u can stake your own life, the masked people would be forced play;they cant decline and the loser would be killed. These games are all different categories depending on the host, i.e. goat man is a deception game, snake has to do with answering questions, mouse is to find certain objects, ox is about strength, pig is luck. The nine leave, and eventually make their way into a very dirty convient story and finds an emancipated shopkeeper there. She's not only skin and bones, but she also seems to be mentally ill. Bc one of the 9 (web novel writer) was injured in the game, they were trying to find some needle and thread to sew his opening up before he bleeds out. left with no choice, they ask this girl for the tools, and it took her a while to respond. She invites them inside the employee lounge whilst she looks for the items. Keep in mind the 9 have been out for a whole day and have been hungry, so when they saw she was cooking a pot of soup, the guys were envious and wanted a share. The girl tells them it's piglet soup and if they want some, to sleep with her. Everyone declined, which to their relief because it's revealed its not piglet soup, but her newborn. It's late and they are starving, so they sleep it off, only to find in the morning the writer had been stab in the abdomen by a large black sword. Writer says his last words by calling mc over. They find it sus and the teacher accuses ths mc as the murder since the writer called his name first. MC realises not everyone here was truth worthy and decides to part ways. Gangster, call girl, and psychologist leave with him. He leaves one dao with police officer since the others don't seem to want to explore but teacher insists to split the stuff. Blah blah. So the four set off. They encounter a weird old man who seems to know them, he says only by staking one's life can they possibly win. And that this whole thing was a sham, but is let down to know none of the four recognizes him. He says 'so you've met Celestial Dragon' and leaves the four, still baffled by what just happened. Their first game that day was a young girl with a mouse mask. Call girl volunteers to try the game, so they pay one dao. she loses, but that's it. they realise not all games will kill, so they try the game again--this time mc stakes his life instead of a dao. Mortal Mouse sounds really scared, but she reluctantly accepts. When mc wins, mouse runs, but a man zones in and catches her back. tells her rules are to be followed and she must pay for her life. It's then that mc realises what staking one's life means, the loser MUST pay with their life. He tells this mysterious naked man (who mouse refers to as Vermillion Bird) to let mouse go and they don't want her life, just this dao is fine. VB kills her anyways and talks to teh four as he they already acquainted. Confused, mc still spews some shet at him cause VB heartlessly killed this young girl and VB leaves after some harsh words. They mourn and make their way to their next game, Terrestrial Ox. MC finds it weird that everyone they've encountered so far has been mortal-something and doesn't realise the difference until they played. The game was much more gruesome and a lot of people died. They managed to win with mc's wit tho. MC and co. manages to get about 100 dao before they are ambushed by this girl, Xiao Xiao. XX had been one of the participants of the previous ox game they just partook in. She saw how smart mc is, and says he would be able to collect the 3600 dao so she can't have him do that. either he joins her cause, or she kills him. She proves her point by first burning all their dao and killing gangster and call girl, mc faints from headache (which he gets whenever someone dies) and recalls time with wife. Wakes up with just psychologist by his side. He sus of her since XX left her alive, but still keeps her around. He goes to find police officer to get that last dao bc they need it to play game, but finds him bleeding out. He and lawyer had partook in a game and to save lawyer, he cut off his arm. Anyways, he says his last words and somehow manifests a lighter and new cigs during his last breaths, which leaves mc bewildered. However there's no answer since officer li is dead. ....there's more to Arc 1 but i'm typed out.... Spoiler past arc one: Initially the mc rly thinks that collecting these dao can let them out. He doesn't want to be a god since his wife is waiting for him in the real world. but he later finds out it's not just a simple games, ppl also are given strange abilities if they 'awaken'. And to awaken, its different for everyone--different intense emotions are usually the catalyst tho. there are ppl hindering his process and want to kill him bc he's too smart and has the possibility of collecting 3600. he does die very soon and finds out he's been placed back in the goat man room, the same thing repeats again. MC realizes it's not as simple as he had imagined. Every 10 days, this world seems to refresh and ppl will forget their memory unless they have awakened their powers (which are called Reverberation). Spoiler: major spoiler Mc and most others have been in End Point for 70 years. During that time mc has been trying to find ways to escape, even becoming one of the earthly branches (animal ppl). The mortal mouse he kills in the first arc was one of his students (Terrestrials mentor Mortals.) He made a deal with Azure Dragon which is how he ended up back as a participant in that initial room in arc one. Those are ppl he hand picked. The dirt-colored sun is not a sun, but a human eye. It's alive, but gets replaced whenever it dies. MC's wife Yu Nian'An doesn't exist, that name is just the name of his project--- his escape plan. collecting 3600 dao does bring salvation, but not in the sense that you can leave, but more like a mass wipe out, so everyone loses their memories. only a limited amount of ppl know this. The reverberations are usually two words, but there are some that are more, the longer, the stronger. MC has a four character one. Participants will at most have one reveration, the Celestials will have four. Celestial Dragon and Azure Dragon has five. Ranks of Earthly Branches: Mortal<Terrestrial< Celestial=Four Guardians with dragons being top of each. Highest in power are Celestial Dragon and Azure Dragon. ....ok yeah, i'm def not suited for typing out summaries xD.
