I sit at high walls, gazing at you playing with kittens
and bright sunlight shining on our face,
“It tickles”, you say, running your hand along the gray cat's back.
“It does”, I smile.
At this point, if you had tagged me
as Smiley Crow man, I wouldn't be surprised.
You keep on talking, or is it in my head?
Does it matter, as long as it reaches my heart?
I smile.
“You are okay, Crow man?”,
“Uh ? What?”, you gave me a nudge.
I fell, not down, maybe I fell into something.
“Let's go kittens, Uncle Crow is …”,
you take your time picking your words,
you chuckle, “Let him enjoy his time”.
Oh look, that cloud looks sexy,
Naughty right in the morning.
You smack me, and bring me to consciousness.
“Okay, okay, look at that one…”, I point my fingers at the cloud.
You let the kittens go and sit next to me,
I say, “It looks like a pen-”,
You make the classic “No” expression,
“—cil, *bonk* Naughty right in the morning, aye?”.
We laugh hard, under ticking warm sunlight,
sitting on high walls sitting under lovely sun,
and with clouds our shelter.
