It's in the good novels as well. Well maybe not the Japanese ones (all enemies become friends) but Korean and Chinese novels are about the same level and type of MC idiocy. The only real difference is some are good enough to make you overlook it. Others are trashy lol

I know this sounds weird, a random man you never saw comes here and insist on you reading a novel you dropped, but it's just who I am, it makes me kind of sad to see someone missing on good stuff, especially if they liked said stuff and left it for one reason or another. Gotta share the love man ;).

True it can be. Well Stephen king did a good job writing horror novels though. At least I like his books~

Fake smart is where the author goes over the top to try and portray mc intelligence while only exposing their own lack of intelligence. This means they are probably aware of their intelligence level but are determined to prove they are exceptionally smart by writing an exceptionally smart main character. It doesn't work though cause being dumb leads to dumb writing.

So which one did you get pissed off?
The "BS explaination that makes no sense"
Or the "tongue twisting vocabulary that has a simple meaning"
Or the "glaring forced plot/plot hole that only the MC can pull off"

Well. It's more like it's ruined by the author themselves.

It's been done by others with no luck. It's a slow novel with cultivation and reads a little like a slice of life novel so it seems to not intrigue translators enough.
