is AMP suitable for online novel sites? in my search in the depths of Google, I happen to come across pages with a little thunder/lighting icon in my search results. curiosity win and I embark on a quest to find out the answer. then I discovered AMP https://www.ampproject.org/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerated_Mobile_Pages do you guys think that this should be adopted by novel site or is it too bothersome? I haven't seen any novel site that implemented this and as a heavy mobile reader, I think this is something nice to have. loading a diet version of a page will make it load faster and save data consumption. .
It looks interesting. It look a like a guide to code your website more efficiently and allow it to load faster. I think websites should try to adopt it if they’re able to. I especially like the elimination of pop-ups.
Why not? Even if you're using wordpress there's an option to integrated it with AMP, though I haven't use AMP yet so don't have much to say about it. But if you really interested making a robust blog-based site I'd recommend to check out nodejs based static site generator instead old PHP CMS like wordpress or write your own. They definitely work better for mobile users, since nodejs is client-side javascript language. Topped with service worker you can create offline-ready Progressive Web App site--that's mean, mobile phones will treat your site as an app and give readers an ability to "install" it, just like native apps. Here's an article about a guy succeeds in converting his Hexo powered blog to PWA (tricky for a novel site but I think its viable): https://alexjoverm.github.io/2017/08/07/How-I-made-a-Progressive-Web-App-out-of-my-Blog/
