Deanna watched as Lethe, and the stranger were sandwiched with another stranger.
Slightly chuckling, Deanna give a small smile towards the three

"Ah, a novice adventurer? Always nice to see a fellow thrill-seeker!"

He slapped Ryul on the back a few times as he laughed, before seeing the cookie and eating it in 2 bites, licking the crumbs from his lips before drinking from his tankard.

"So, you're also seeing the adventurer gig as a side-job, too? Yeah, although the thrill of danger is nice, stability is the best. What experience do you have?"

Urlagrod finished his ale off, before picking up an eighth full tankard and drinking it, while looking at Ryul's blushing face - thinking the alcohol had probably got to him.

Lethe let himself be manhandled by the stranger, not even having the energy to care about the so-called "stranger danger" that Randal had warned him of. All he wanted was some cake... and a decent nap.

 

"Uuh, Pierre? I think there are children in here." He whispered to the barkeep, trying his best not to turn and see.

 

Deanna looks at the now squashed cake, she takes out another one and offers it to Lethe.

 

Deanna politely rejects the strangers offer.

With her mood restored, Deanna looks around for a new table

 

"I agree with you. There's always danger when one goes out for a job," Ryul flashed a smirk as the orc easily devoured the cookie and slapped his back.

Trying to ignore the word's double meaning, the half-elf answered, "Experience? I've been on a number of missions, but obviously not nearly as many as yourself. I've done escort jobs, gathering tasks - oh, there was one interesting one where we had to collect live specimens. That one was...unique."

Ryul could still remember how concerned his teammates were about him going berserk and losing control. He shook his head as he focused back on Urlagrod.

"Enough about me. How's being a librarian? You must get to read about and learn all sorts of subjects," Ryul asked, wanting to get to know the orc better.

As Deanna was forcfully dragged, she sat down at pulled out two sponge cakes for her and her May.

 

"Ah, yes...experience adventuring...I had meant with being a scholar though, but never mind."

Urlagrod leaned on the table and drank more of his eighth pint, before thinking about his job.

"You see various types of people coming into the library. Some are just coming in to have shelter from the rain, some come to do some light reading after a hard day at work, some come for reference materials..." He took a giant swig of his drink, emptying the tankard and reaching for his ninth, "others...come to enjoy the pleasures in life in a dark corner."

The orc looked between Ryul's legs as he said the last bit, pragmatically suggesting at what those particular individuals were doing, before looking back into the half-elf's eyes and smiling nonchalantly.

"So, when and why did you become an adventurer, ravishing Ryul?"

Deanna’s elf hearing overhears the conversation. She’s inwardly disgusted before she calms herself down hoping not to ruin her improved mood like last time.

Fifteen minutes later, the mob of kids went home leaving empty lemonade cups and a gourd with lighter coin pouch. He looked at the crumpled bread bag now empty, and inwardly decide to prank Aria somewhat viciously in the future.
