I'm fairly sure it isnt just a Japanese thing... Take Taarna from the 1980s animated movie Heavy Metal. If I'm not mistaken, it was produced in Canada.... Also the chainmail bikini was a staple of old school D&D fantasy books and artwork as well... so it isnt just one culture that has a fixation on hard bodied women swinging swords while wearing next to nothing.
And you won't see those things on the west anymore becauae of the nuts on twitter going to yell "objectifying women" or some shit like that
Well I never said other countries had never done it before, I'm just stating the obvious market which was known for something like this was majorly from Japanese manga/anime illustration
Now now, while that is a concerning matter, it still not a big one. Look, we high archwizard here want to protest too, ya know. Only robe? seriously? We also want to wear super heavy armor with tower shield while shooting death magic at our enemy. But noooooo, all we get is shitty robes, cause it make us unbalanced OP if we also have high defense too. Duh, we are wizard, we already super unbalanced OP in the first place, we also lift bro.
It’s funny how we’ve all pretty much at first thought it’s normal, until someone deliberately pointed it out. I mean we’ve seen/read a lot of illogical and random shts.
If you think about it from a "How does this work" perspective, you would find that female armour has a strange reactor core somewhere on it and it generates a skin-tight barrier to cover the area between the generator lines. Anything that does not offer full body protection while being worn even with the smallest area actually being covered is basically a "You have been sold a undergarment" or "You have been sold a dodgy swimwear" instead of "You have been sold a armour". Imagine: Tassel armour, Band-aid armour, Borat armour. If it protects you, it's armour, if not, you've been scammed and sold nonsense. (Reference to look at: Bikini Warriors Episode 1)
I think you have that backwards... Chapter 1: Kill god Chapter 40: Run errands for dinner See, that sounds more accurate...
I find it a double standard for female characters to criticize bikini armor and still think there's a huge difference between bikini swimwear and everyday underwear. To be fair, though, bikini armor do have high stats boosting agility and agile-related skills, and extra enchantment sockets in some games. For more info about the it. I suggest reading them.
