Uh... don't take my quote for that. I just wanted to test out console commands. Like I said, I dropped Berserk a couple years ago.
*glares at you* it's not that crappy i think. well we all have opinions. fs thinks it's a masterpiece setting aside the UNNEEDED scenes. it has story.
Sort of a dark theme. It's based off Astro Boy. I read Berserk and Pluto around the same time. I personally think either Pluto or Bokurano is the best "dark" manga I've ever read.
Berserk was too sad for me... the rape thing was just a little too much for me. I might go back and read it again if it ever finishes.
That scene was merely to torment Gutz and release all the stress he had towards him. 1st. That he left him behind. 2nd. That now Gutz was together with Caska and she wasn't fawning all over him anymore, he became jealous when she ignored his advance. 3rd. At this point after all that torture and abuse his mind was twisted against the world and everyone in it, even his comrades.
I need to finish reading that. I stopped while it was still in translation. Right after Pluto attacked Astro.
He became twisted, uncaring for everyone else beside his 'company'. He searched her, took care of her and even began the search for a remedy.
Yep, i've read it: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluto_(manga) but I've forget about it: action and everything else beside the fact that there was a robot. Still, i'm under the impression that Oldboy was better: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Boy_(manga).
I want to see what will happen to GUTZ since he's using the armor his sense are being taken away also life force.
Yep!! Guts fight against fate is heart rending, sad and beautiful. The more he advances, the more he suffers. I don't know what happened between the time he killed the sea god and the time he got of the boat, I have to read it... Or search for a summary. I honestly can't see him ever getting a proper revenge on Griffith, the odds are so much against him. And I'm also worried the Jeanne of Arc kind of girl will do something stupid out of jealousy. OOOOH!!! PLuto!! I had started reading it some time ago!! But I was too worried about the MC, I got scared to read the rest
i never really read beserk before can anyone give me their own personal summary cause the book summary itself really doesn't interest me
It's about a man who have been branded as a sacrifice for another man that's ascending to godhood. That man(sacrifice) does everything he can to fight fate since the brand acts like a signal for monsters/oddities adding his quest for vengeance. He also meets different kinds of people/supernaturals that will be his companion, also meeting with a Skull Knight who I think used to have the same fate as him but won the fight against fate but the price is being undead for eternity. As you go far to the story there would be a flashback about what truly happened and how the present became. Along his adventures after the flashback he'll find an inspiration to change his quest instead of vengeance he'll focus on curing his lover who's by the way same as him (branded as sacrifice).
