What are the odds that we will get magic firearms? Seems like Claude knows about guns and will soon learn magic...
The author did mention that Claude will become quite the unconventional character as the story progresses. Definitely not your average gunmage is what he's hinting at, but we've no clue how the story will develop yet.
as long he don't go full xuanhuan retards and a little more like the author previous's work i am fine with that
I just want to bring some attention to a review by @grkmori which was written after reading the raws of BIG as a whole. The review largely sums up my thoughts on the novel so far, and I'm really looking forward to how it will develop in the future. You can check the review on the novel page to see if the novel's for you!
Somebody knows if this novel has some map from the different countries and kingdoms on it? It would help a lot...
ok thanks for translating it gawa-cchi although grk said mc is on a killing spree but he is still a lot inferior to others idiotics cn mc
So black iron is a rank? And here I have thought it was because he was using a cookbook using black iron pots and pans.
Yeah, the magi were divided between the 24 Stirling noble families (the king is a descendant of one of these families) and the black iron magi. The cookbook belonged to a black iron magi. Stirling nobles (AKA white silver) – During the era of magic, the original council of 24 nine-ring magi, they each formed a household and took a part of the continent as their territory along with all the resources in it. They call themselves the Stirling nobles, or the white magi. They only teach their offspring their magic and only let them benefit from the full extent of their resources. They've become the ruling class on the continent and they control the council. Black Iron – all magi under the Stirling nobles
How's it going? I haven't started reading this yet. Compared to Tales? Btw wtf is that tag false history did the OP mean alternative history?
Its like the black/dark history often talked about in anime/manga, the truth is covered up for the convenience of those in power. Just like TRL he is still in school. He has not learned magic yet, still reading the diary of the mage while modifying guns.
It's tempting to think so given the spell names, but alchemy as it is now hardly seems practical in a real-time scenario.
