Recently, I'd came to a discussion with a friend and we were talking about who we liked, she revealed to me that she was having a crush on her manager, it was shocking to me that she and him have a 20 years age gap. Anyway, they're not even dating and I'm just making a big deal out of nothing. So my questions: Are you ok with dating someone that have a huge age gap and potentially marry them if you and them are compatible, personality wise? Do you care about the generation gap? Do you prefer to date someone in the same age group as you/older than you/younger than you? What age gap are you most comfortable with?
Why the fuck is there a 0 to 9 option? Is it like they're into fetus stage humans? Ages 50 to 100 are beyond dating and are already a commitment.
Wouldn't it make more sense for the poll to ask the gap we are comfortable with instead? I can't imagine you'll get any useful data without knowing about our respective ages first. On that note the poll would still be skewed without knowing the user's age. Wouldn't someone younger (lets say 16) be more comfortable dating within around thier own age? In contrast to someone who is 27 and would be more comfortable with a larger gap? Don't the general public perfer someone with similar mental maturity?
welp as long as both parties understand each other, everything.is a OK. . . . unless your a P.Bear. . . I'll freaking hunt you. . .
Plus minus 6 years range of my age is preferable. For me tho, i hope to find someone whom when i say slam dunk and she answer shohoku/hanamichi or anything slam dunk manga related, its highly likely that she's the one.
So long as the other person is of age to consent and we get along in that way......then it's all good.
my brain was dead when I made this lol, couldn't find the right words to express my thoughts so I could only go with that questions. The data would be the questions, not poll. Thanks for finding my words for me
I’m not really against age gaps when it comes to a relationship, I try to understand why people are together when there is an age gap because yes it is out of the ordinary. There are a lot of bad flack about relationships where the age gap is about 12+ years I’d say, give or take a few, but that’s because of the media’s influence. At least with me I would be comfortable with anyone within 10 years or less. Beyond that is a no. Granted for me at my current age they must also be above 18.
there are some creep who are into that less than 9 but greater than 0 and fetus stage... I can't imagine a human into that
I'm fine with up to a 10-15 gap, though I refuse anyone below 21. I am not looking to go to jail, thank you very much. I have dated someone 12 years my senior and the relationship was fine. I was 21 at the time but they didn't treat me like a child and it was a surprisingly fulfilling relationship.
thanks for your answer, that's what I worry for my friend if they're going to date, because being the less mature one in the relationship, they're prone to manipulation.
Nah, close to my age is best. Too old or young shifts the power dynamic and power corrupts. So. Plus I'm naturally submissive in all matters and a push over...so it would be bad for me. I literally can't hold grudges as well...but I have good judge of character! I think.. Now I'm suddenly worried for my future..
I believe i will be single all my life so.. Anyway, age factor: How old/young they look. If we don't look like parent & child it's ok Financial & retirement. My salary isn't enough for 2 people Family approval. Too lazy for drama. This is all on the base that "compatible personality" means we have agreed on wedding, children, pets, and room temperature, and other daily life things
I prefer to be the younger one in a relationship. The biggest gap was 5 years. However I find romantic relationships to be a lot of work. I forget birthdays and valentines day. I have it in my phone but put it off cause it's far away then get busy.
There are religions that don't celebrate those holidays, maybe you might wanna look into people that practice them....for like mindedness ~
