Yeah, it's so weird going from like 3-5 releases a month, to at least 1 BL series a day. I actually can't keep up anymore!
ikr lol everyday I see a BL release, my grin is so wide I can't stop smiling even with the drama going on NUF lol Thank you very much fujoshi and fudanshi on NUF who has/had grace the spoilers, pickup, and lcd section on NUF And the translators too
It's great that bl is being spread around more and more \o/ Gotta drag more peeps into our dark side!
I picked a great time to start reading wn/ln again then! (Re)Joining in the middle of a bl revolution is the best. Every day I get a new chapter to read.
An update on the novel I've been spending the last few weeks translating~ @thrynki has been wonderful with the editing and chapter 1 is ready to go, just need to clean up chapter 2 before releasing (because chapter 1 ends on a huge cliffhanger) It'll be posted together on snowycodex on some later date. Title has been decided as Everyday Life of a Dom Boyfriend. Here's my review on it if you're interested as well. Spoiler: review Most relationships start off with the couple dating and finding the best in each other. They then get married and go off on a honeymoon, before returning to a normal life and discovering each other’s flaws, leading to many domestic disputes and their love for each other not as passionate as before. This story does not follow that formula. Instead, the author skips the honeymoon phase and plops the two main characters right into a domestic life. In the beginning, it is evident that there is a gap in the relationship or missing something that truly bridges the both of them together. They don’t try to hide their flaws nor afraid of confronting each other’s problems, and it is through overcoming these challenges that trust and love flourishes between the two. Despite the title, it is not a BDSM-centric heavy smut novel, but a slice-of-life novel. The story is told from the perspective of Xia Zhi, a man in his late 20’s who is desperate for a reliable, life-long partner. Many parts of this story follow him as a third-party observer of the BDSM practices as he tries to understand and come to terms with his partner Ye Qia, and by extension his partner’s identity as a sex worker. I’m giving 5 stars for this novel because it’s rare for a story to pull off the slice of life genre (and with such a topic as well!) without the plot slowing to a dribble, plus the characters are endearing. Ye Qia is always enigmatic as ever and it is satisfying to see him unraveled through Xia Zhi’s interactions. Bonus points are given for the constant hilarity ensued from the series of comical situations.
It sounds awesome *.* ...*resists the temptetion of making an early spoiler thread* The fact that the ml is a sex worker is intresting....I really like manga that explore the theme (but i cant stand the angst sometimes >.>)
I honestly don't think I've read a manga/novel with a similar plot before (and I've read a lottt of BL), I think everyone's gonna love it And it's seriously funny, I've burst out laughing more than a few times!
I recommend Neon Amber Lights (I may have cried..) I think manga usually have more angst than novels just because they're usually 2-7 chapters long, so the mangakas cram the angst into them.
I found it! ....warning angst! ....also there is Orchids of Endless Nights they are both train recks but you cant look away Q.Q
