Does anyone know an FMC cultivation novel without an extremely strong male lover that helps the FMC throughout the novel? Preferably one where the FMC has to struggle her way through without any help. There can be a lover interest but one that isn't overwhelmingly stronger than her or one that is the Young Master of the worlds stronger backing.
Forge of destiny - as far as I know (I dropped it somewhere around chapter 40) there is no male lover at all.
There are very few of these. Lady Cultivator Bewitching Prince Spoils His Wife: Genius Doctor Unscrupulous Consort - ML is stronger at the beginning. After a while MC and ML become about equally strong and cultivate and adventure together to get stronger. Quite long with more than 10.000 chapters. Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor - ML is much stronger at the beginning. However at about 1/3 of the novel I think she becomes stronger than him. Haven't finished it yet, so son't know how it is at the end. Again pretty long with more than 5.000 chapters.

I guess it's tangential to the genre. The MC comes from a cultivation world and the story is mostly about her using her very high cultivation level in this world.
so like a dragon king in an urban world thing? Where the MC is stupid overpowered and goes into business?
Sort of? It's less about her "going into business", and more about her resolving problems with ease. She's not particularly attached to worldly things, aside from wanting to fulfill her agreement with the soul that left her body to achieve it's dream of becoming the movie queen. Mostly she is working to regain her cultivation, and solving any problems that normal people can't resolve. There's also a barely there ML who has more presence in the author's "little theater" than in the actual novel.
I haven't read that one. Honestly, I don't usually read this genre, so it would be hard to give an example of a similar one. I suggest reading a couple chapters to see if it's what you're looking for. The quality is pretty consistent, so if you like the beginning, you'll like the novel.
