So I was thinking about some modifications that could be made in some novel to traditional medieval equipment. Things that could be added to plate armour, or to upgrade the sword using modern concepts like motors, electricity, ect. For example, if you had a ring on your plate armour (perhaps around the waste) and used motors on it to get some barbed whip wires to spin around you for an AOE attack. Or using short burst hydraulic powered arms to pull off a power strike every once and awhile. Basically I want different cool ideas for weapons that would be possible to implement in a medieval style battle using modern concepts. However, mostly avoid using bullets since that's a well trodden path.
Several layers of the heaviest armor you can find, add lots of padding inside then add a jetpack and some additional thrusters on the back and then launch them straight into the enemy. Repeat with several people, and as long as they aren't heavy cavalry or formed into a spearwall or similar formations, they will likely break the enemy line somewhat.
composite metal, making it harder. Teflon coating on weapons to prevent blood sticking on it / harder. High vibrating frequency blade -> cuts through everything like butter. High vibrational chainsaw massacre! Technically you could get very far with chemistry, get them addicted, make them hallucinate or even aphrodisiac usage, roofie enemy camps etc. Modenr-warfare esque tactics where you prevent them from sleeping by playing loud rock and roll lol. Hot-air balloon usage, maybe not to fly but to spread chemicals over them / bombs on them if they shoot it down. Possibly even flying kites.
I am the monarch had an interesting concept (with magic), they equipped armor with bright light, so any opponent without sunglasses had it pretty tough to fight back.
flashlight or flashbomb to blind and stun enemies altho it is un honorable fight for knighthood, its still a effective trick rocket punch gauntlet(spring action force for medieval tech) helmet with evilish lighting effect for giving fear to enemies or maybe add some airborn drugs that gives them hallucination for better effect sword that extends and becomes whip on a press ofna button boy, what i gave ypu are some sneaky weapons that would piss the enemy off for not being fair
I actually came up with a changed idea. Why would we actually need humans in that one? Just pick something like sizeable, tough and heavy enough eg. logs and put thrusters on them instead. It would work best if the logs were paralell to their lines, as it would knock down more, but if they're not, they would still have some effect.
How about something to ease the burdens of wearing armor. I'm talking about something for heat and cooling. How did people deal with plated knights? Burning oil pots, so with some innovation we can get rid of that weakness. It also expands areas of operation of our knight errant like say the desert, or volcano. I am not sure how you would do it but it is a fair suggestion. And for jokes, a rocket punch?
they used it on dark places like deep forest at night, flash them and direct the light to them so they couldnt see due to high contrast lights just like how swats does their raids
