If you just want to make a surprise you can do something that's unexpected to her like telling her that there's a boy who like you and you're going to meet him so Liz shouldn't follow you (while giving some vibes that you don't care about her) or make it looks like you were receiving a love letter while hiding it and make her accidentally saw it or you can do whatever it is to make her coming and when she is tailing to the place writen in the letter it was actually you disguising as the boy~ Or you can just suddenly puke a fake blood in front of her while saying "happy birthday" (lol)
Try making her think you joined a cult. Start off with small stuff to lead her on then slowly increase the weird things you do. People tend to fear for the worst when they are uncertain. Then a few days before or after her birthday at midnight, you could have her accidentally walk into the room as your "sacrificing" someone to your new "god". You can get a person to dress up in some robe while holding candles in a dimly lit room. Your friend will walk in just as your "knife" is plunging into your victim. You could have someone else sit on a chair in the room while gagged and tied while they try to "resist" as your victim. Something you could do to make it look real: You could ake a fake fb account or something and send your self messages that your friend "isn't supposed to see". Try getting a book on demon worshipping or something. Maybe having you can have your web browser open in incognito with some tabs open that you "forgot" to close on how to summon demons or how to worship satan or how to properly do a sacrifice. Main point here is that you are hiding something and that it is something bad enough to freak her out. Use your imagination.
