Name: Like Hell I’m Gonna Get Captured! Raw link: http://ncode.syosetu.com/n6726be/ Why It Should Get Picked Up: It is an unique novel that features Gender bender, recantation or a dating game in a modern world instead of a normal setting in a fantasy world. It also shows the daily school life of a Japanese high schooler instead of a plot with royalties or nobles. Description: It seems I was reincarnated into a dating game world. It’s called a dating game, so I initially thought I was going capture heroines and do “Kya~Kya~ufufu” things, but I was born as a female. No matter how I think about it, are I not on the side of getting capturedー!? Noー! I’ll do my best to avoid getting captured while improving myself because it’s no use being dejected. OR A slow-paced, comedy, slice-of-life story about a main character settling into his new life as a girl. Despite it being in a gaming world, there is no system or storyline guiding people’s actions. As a child, he remained quite distant from his peers. Now entering high school, a time period when hormones are high and drama is abound, Katagiri Sora, the main character, leaves behind his younger brother’s protection. At first, he is beset by guys lusting after him, and he takes solace in being together with his cute, female friends. As he grows more accustomed to his life, he grows closer to some guys who aren’t wolves in sheep’s clothing, and comes to ponder his place in the world.
There's already half of chapters translated and the rest is just some slice of life worth 20+ chapters and hence it was dropped as requested by readers...
it is like wishing you were the main character of a hentai doujin thinking that you were going to be a dude but ended becoming a dark elf princess and there are orcs and tentacles everywhere.
Generaly happens when reader base would prefer if translator would do a different more popular series.
Maybe beacause this novel is not they preference. Maybe the majority of translator reader Don't like this kind of novel. Though I Don't know...
The author of the novel dropped it, gave it a half assed ending, translator asked if he should finish it, or stop in a place that was satisfying for everyone. There were many fans, sad fans at the end..:
In addition to what everyone else said, the translator started a side series that was much more interesting than this. Most of his readers preferred to get more chapters of The Girl Who Ate a Death God than this. I'm one of them. That story was so good.
