Just update Mozilla... You will be surprised how much you like the new feature reader mode, you an NU member and all. Reconfigure IDM to manually download youtube video, or better yet pirate the newer one.
I have noticed firefox crashing on me often when I perform a specific action over and over again. When reading, I like to click and highlight the line I am reading. When I get into the story, I repeat this action over and over very quickly. This freezes and crashes firefox.
My mozilla crash a lot too,, so i switch to chrome but after update to lasted version and uninstall legacy addon its worked fine,,
This is the first time that I saw someone recommending Edge over Firefox, chrome can be understandable, but you should use chromium (the same same as chrome but open source, and principally without google tracker!)
I dunno maybe you're right, still I use firefox since forever and I rarely have problem with it (plus the reader mode is quite good)
Hmm I'm using Firefox 56.0.1 (64bit) and IDM 6.29 Build 2 = it's working fine~ And If things go well with CTR (Classic Theme Restorer) after Firefox 57+ (because Mozilla will drop support for XUL / XPCOM / legacy add-ons) I'll still stick with Firefox if not I'll just simply switch to Waterfox (Firefox based browser) since it also supports CTR (Classic Theme Restorer). And yes the reader mode thanks to such feature making my epub is now easier and now they also have implemented a screenshot feature which lets you control what part of a site you want to save (it always save the screenshots in .PNG) instead of the usual pressing the PrtSc SysRq button on your keyboard then using some image editing software to crop the screenshot.
