The red hair family supports the crown prince to become king because he the most capable . They support Mc since she from a noble family but if she supports a new prince it could lead to in fighting for the throne . No one wants that . No ,Fl wasn't trying to do that at the ball. She was just spreading rumors but Mc got rid of her credibility . Unfortunately Fl turned the tables on Mc by asking her Why are you meeting fifth prince in private ?

Well she didn't lose but quietly withdraw since she knew she bit off more then she could chew. The last boss is Spoiler: the end game ML mom .Yup. Have you ever heard of the famous korean mother in law stereotype? It seriously came down to that.

You are right on the money .The Fl and queen worked together to bring MC down but Fl realize this will lead to her own ruin. She quietly disappeared but the Queen end up losing everything.
Well, this FL seems smarter than most villainess FLs I've read about. In the very least, she's not rushing towards her downfall/death.
yes ,Ml is the one that end up saving Mc . Spoiler He turned against his own mom and drove her to exile which led to suicide.He didn't want to but she kept courting death. She exactly like the mom in Hero wife.[/S OILER] Ml finally shine in the last 4th book .Ironically the least popular book .....
A ton of spoilers...I love it. Thanks, Mylign as always. The spoilers so far are satisfying and a big twist since Ml is trying at least to be overcome his fears and suspicious of MC. I would rather have MC break away the engagement and such but if this is the how the story progressed, I am looking more forward to future releases. It seems that MC'stacticss are giving her the way not to be dead, whcih is always a good thing.
Perhaps some fans we're rooting for the 2nd lead? I mean, shippers are kinda like that. Which mom? noah's mom? It's sad that she would choose death over a reformed MC but it's her choice.

Most fans found MC too cool for a man. I agree ,she really was too good for any of the male leads .Ml popularity was okay but she was the sun. She shine too bright ,no one could see the male leads light. When the novel came out it was no 1 for a while .Some say it was because it was one of the first pro feminist novels but I like it because she smart but still had to struggle .I would like it more if she didn't get help from ML and became independent but I guess that impossible. It is Ropan novel after all. Yes,the mother was like Noah mom where there was so many chances but she still end up turning her own son against her and losing everything.
The Fl went to the queen and turn her against Mc reminding her how disloyal her family was. Then Mc kept winning alarming the queen and it hurt her pride . So when Fl backed down the Queen kept trying to go against Mc so Ml who end up having to revealing everything and sending her to exile which cause the Queen to do that typical Taking You with Me trope. .
The Fl really was in love with the Ml and worked hard to be the most closest person in his life but he was cold to her. She was okay but she was the first to notice Ml liked Mc .She had already tasted power so how can she return to her common life? There was lots of misunderstandings between the two leads because they both had too much prejudice and pride to talk so Irene used that . Then when the leads finally got together Irene finally knew she had zero chance and disappeared. However she caused the Queen to turn against Mc .This is when she really struggled and almost die.
