Hello all, I have an idea for a new button on Reading List Logs section. Can we have a Undo Button for updates or deletes on Logs. This stems up from my problem of wanting to read chapters via novelupdates by using smartphones, while having fat fingers Sometimes I accidentally push on wrong update button. Also one time I accidentally deleted 4 novels while trying to move them from one list to another. It would be nice to have a faster way to take back updates with less steps. Currently we have to go to logs see which chapter we were on, go to novels related page and correct it. Just like update button on reading list, having a reverse button would be nice.
OP knows, OP has fat and clumsy fingers, OP is often on phone, OP is unfortunate and actually not lazy, which is what I thought at first till I read the post.
I have a similar problem when I'm out and about, but not as bad, only when the bus or train (somehow) jerks randomly will I accidentally click the wrong button.
Well I'm have the same problem too, but it's mostly because the ads that show up and shift the chapter placement.. I do hope they implement it..
Exactly my thoughts. I was like: i am already using this site for more than 1 year but just discovered it now. I feel disappointed in myself Imagine all those posts i made because I clicked on the box of the novel I was stockpiling for months
IIRC, undo buttons are on the list of things Tony has planned for the site. However, it is somewhat troublesome to implement, so he made the logs instead, which were easier to make... I'm not 100% sure on that though, but I can assure you that the logs were made exactly because of the problem of missclicking. As for the people that didn't know about the logs, they were a recent addition, so don't worry too much about it.
Well I guess I missed that post But thinking about it being troublesome, I guess Update button works as taking the coding for current chapter we are at and replace the code with latest one. If and I mean this in a coding sense, we can identify the updated chapter's code as starting point and previously at chapter's code as the end point in logs we can introduce the code as update the chapter code from Chap.A to Chap.B to updating Chap.B to Chap.A. And I have to admit I suck at at coding but just know the logic behind it.
I don't know a thing about coding myself, I'm just saying what I remember from other threads... I don't trust my memory that much though, so maybe I said something wrong... But yeah, having the undo button would make things easier, just unsure if it will come anytime soon.
