Discussion Which Manga/Anime character actually popularized the Drill Hair / Hair Drills Hairstyle?

Drill Hair, also known as Ojou Ringlets or Princess Curls, are a common hairstyle found in female anime and manga characters who are either rich or pretending to be so. They are based on Regal Ringlets, a popular hairstyle for aristocrats during the Roman era.

Is it possible that it was Reika Ryuuzaki (Ace o Nerae! / Aim for the Ace! 1973) or Fukiko Ichinomiya ("Miya-sama") (Dear Brother / Oniisama e... 1974) that inspired many creators portraying female bougie ladylike characters with (blonde) hair drills?

Regal Ringlets, a hairstyle that came from ancient Rome, where they already had a curling iron called calamistrum even BC. They also started the fashion of wearing curly wigs. So the "character" who popularized this hairstyle were basically people of ancient Rome. And Japanese draw the curls because that's how they display European people
