Discussion your reason for stopping reading Japanese novels

This will be last post on this and it is just something I want to point out.
The people here saying what that JP are good as well also read CN and do enjoy quite a few of them.
How much of that is true for the other party? We are not even trying to bash either side were just pointing out the hypocrisy in this thread with people are saying how its not one sided with one being the better over the other

You keep telling them JP mc's are p***ys and s**t. But what are the novels that brought you here then? Because you got bored about them, doesn't mean you can trash talk about the novels. I personally hate JP novels but they were the one that brought us here and connects us to NUF. I must have offended some of you people here but i don't want to see people trashtalk about one's novels because of their plots and dense MC's.

There is no account for taste.
Something that you hate is something that other person like and vice versa.
It will be pointless even if you rant about what you hate. It will hardly matter on other people taste.
For example, I dislike MC doing the senseless killings (killing without good reason is psychopathic), or "fight over talk" mentality... So most Xianxia MC and hot-blooded JP MC is something that didn't interest me. Even so, this won't stop people who like MC that is all about OP above all and conquers the world! I find the notion of money, power, and fame is meaningless... After all I am already middle age man who had seen many things in my line of work.
It just happened that CN novel like the SoL genre that I like, so there is not many CN novel that I read.

Also, if you are not weebos what the hell are you doing in a site that have JP translated light novel? From what I know only hardcore JP weebos read JP light novel, all the softcore weebos only know about manga and anime, not light novel.

 

@AicilaXI @Rreelentless You guys are wasting your time. Arguing with people who believe all JP is shit cos it's JP is pointless. JP TLers don't take donations, so even if a bunch of idiots decide to go all crazy hating JP, they won't be missed. Good riddance to them. If they like reading Xianxia which reuse the same plot over and over and then compliment it for its 'originality' then let them be happy. Good riddance.

@Dragonfly LOL. Your counter argument makes no sense. All I see is someone bad-mouthing JP novels using an incredibly stupid reason cos someone said that CN xianxia lacks originality.

actually what brought me here was Zhan Long (when it was interesting)...... at that time ZL was at Bakatsuki

 

Mine was Psycho Love Comedy. It was just your typical dense MC but i enjoy reading it until i finish reading the last volume.

I created this post for a healthy criticism about some issues and flows of some JP novels, which I also do for CN novels too....in different threads ofcaurse...

Seem this always become problem for JPN LN hater, grouping bad (or even worse ) LN with good one why at last they read something like Spice and Wolf or Hakomari (for complicated one) or SPS and Hikaru for romance those for van be said just little from JPN best LN troupe (in my opinion)

 

there's this manga called tripeace. Its about this group looking to eradicate war from their world. And the conclusion the MC reaches in the end is that war can't be stopped but he can continue to stop it. That's me with nuf right now

I stopped because of these reasons:

1. Cliche Dense MC
2. Hypocrite MC
3. Fcki'n Useless Harem
4. Fcki'n Overly Used Loli (Sorry but this is friggi'n creepy almost every J novels have a harem member of Loli, what? Pedophile so much?)
5. Some Plots are the same.
6. Also may I add the gender bender tags (even though it's for comedic purposes, I don't find it funny).

 

None. I have once thought removing myself from JP novel because of the popular useless MC troupe in JP novel. But then I was introduced to Chinese novels. And suddenly those JP novels didn't seem that bad at all.

 

That was the best answer you could have come out with.
